Chapter 8 - Ordinary Often Get Bullied, don't they?

Next Day;

They finally came in front of the Eastern Mountain Range. This range spanned almost seven hundred kilometers.

It had several hills and mountains reaching a height of over three kilometers. But it was near the core where Fourth and higher-ranked monsters lived.

"Don't make any noise and follow us!"

Arvin said to three of them and took the front stage. He walked forward, followed by his four friends and three of them at last.

This formation wasn't suitable for them since they were the weakest ones.

But this group didn't care about their lives.

If they could survive, they could help. If they couldn't survive, then they were useless.

Knowing this, Oak tried to remain as calm as he could.

They slowly made their way to the forest. As soon as they entered, they encountered a monster.

It was a large feline cat with orange skin and a leopard-like body. It had flames on its teeth, which made it different from the regular animals of his previous world.

The name of this monster was as straightforward as it could get.

Flaming Teeth Leopard!

Seeing this monster, Arvin decided to kill it before it could make any move. He knew it was fast, so he released lightning around his body and moved.

His speed was almost invisible to the eyes of ordinary people, and that included Oak, Owen, and Rocks.

At this moment, Rock realized just how strong Arvin was.

While his parents were also Third Rank, they wouldn't even come close to Arvin in terms of speed.

Because even as a child, he could at least see his parents' full speed. But he could only trace Arvin because of the crackling sound of the lightning.

[Piercing Lightning]

Arvin covered his hand with lightning and stabbed forward. His hand pierced the throat of the leopard, and before it could react, it lost its life.

The leopard was only a First rank monster, so Oak didn't find it surprising that it died.

The only thing that surprised him was that the leopard was supposed to be an agile monster with speed faster than sound. Although lightning was fast, Arvin couldn't achieve the speed of lightning.

He was barely even moving faster than sound. So, he didn't understand why it couldn't even sense Arvin coming.

'Was it the difference in rank? Can I even contend with him in my lifetime?'

For a moment, Oak's spirit was deeply hurt. But his eyes regained their determination as he remembered his parents.

He didn't have any choice. He was the only one who had the potential to keep his parents safe.

"Let's go!"

Since the monster was dead, Arvin could put it inside the Storage Bag. Only living beings couldn't be stored inside.

As they made their way to the Purple Flame Bird, following the map, they didn't encounter many monsters.

Only few monsters appeared and most of them were killed by Arvin in a short minutes.

They did encounter a Rank Three Monster, but since it wasn't their target, they didn't disturb it and tried to find another route.

It took him almost six hours just to reach the destination.

Surprisingly, this place had a large pool in the middle with a massive Purple Flame Bird sleeping next to the pool.

This bird's feather had a deep purple color, with its shape similar to that of an eagle. When it sensed Arvin's presence, who had the strongest presence among them, it instantly opened its eyes.

Its entire body had purple feathers, but its head had golden feathers. Its pupils were also purple with a golden background.

It had claws larger than Oak himself.

When it sensed them, it instantly raised both of its wings. These wings almost spanned over ten meters in width.

More importantly, its body was bigger than a car.

Although surprising, Oak didn't care about its appearance. He knew the monsters of this world were mutated versions of animals from his previous world.

If there were some supernatural monsters, they had already been included in the fiction.

"Alright, you four, keep it distracted while I look for an opening. Remember, don't get caught in its flame, or it's game over for you guys. You three, stay away and don't distract us!"

At this moment, four of them also revealed their cultivation.

Owen and Rocks didn't react much. They quickly ran away while Oak followed after them while thinking about that Internal Strength.

Whenever a person released their Internal Strength, there would be a certain level of impact around the person.

He had seen it with his parents. Their Internal Strength had a similar impact to these four.

But if they had also reached the Third Rank, they shouldn't have followed Arvin like they did. After all, Arvin might have a Sixth Rank father, but he wasn't the strongest one in the city.

Nor was he the Sect Leader or even one of the Elders. With their talents, they had no reason to fear Arvin and his father.

'That means they must be older than Arvin. It should be true. Although they look similar, Internal strength does have a passive ability to keep our skin the same for a long time.'

'Even though my parents are already over the age of forty, they still look like they are in their thirties. So, these four must be young but still one or two years older than Arvin.'

[Fire Punch]

Just when he was thinking, he heard a loud noise and turned his head. He saw one of the seniors raising his fist, gathering a large amount of flame in his fist, and channeling it forward as a punch.

The flame took the shape of a fist as it crashed into the body of the eagle. But the eagle received almost no damage.

The body of a monster is harder than a human. There is no doubt about it.'

Oak gulped heavily while standing behind a tree. He was almost three hundred meters away from the battlefield, but even then, he could feel the intense pressure.

On the other hand, Owen and Rocks were already cowering in fear and hiding behind two large trees. They had even covered their heads with their arms, hoping nobody would see them.

This made Oak speechless. But he didn't say anything; instead, he tried to watch the battle.

The Senior Sister took the lead, charging forward with a large Water Palm from the left side.

Bang!

It struck the bird, but once again, it didn't make much difference.

The bird angrily roared and spat out a large amount of purple flames.

As soon as the Senior Sister noticed it, she retreated immediately.

At this moment, Arvin appeared above the eagle. His body was covered in lightning, and he looked quite mighty.

The lightning slowly converged above his head and turned into a massive spear.

[Falling Star Burst]

He clutched the spear from its tail and rushed downward with all of his strength.

The eagle noticed the spear, and suddenly, a powerful Aura burst out of its body.

The aura was so strong that it even froze Arvin in mid-air. Fortunately, he came out of his daze and struck the spear with all of his strength.

Boom!

The lightning spear came in contact with the purple feathers, covered in purple flames. It resulted in a powerful explosion that shook the pool and sent Arvin crashing near the tree.

On the other hand, the eagle barely suffered any damage.

"No! Arvin, how are you?"

Senior Sister rushed near Arvin and moved him out of the broken tree.

Arvin coughed out blood and weakly said.

"No, we can't fight it. It has reached the Fourth rank. We can't even hope to contain it. Let's retreat!"

Hearing that, Senior Sister nodded and shouted towards the other three, who were still frozen in shock.

"Everyone, retreat!"

Her voice caught their attention, and they immediately ran away.

But how could the eagle let them leave?

Seeing this, Arvin slapped his storage bag, and it spat out a strange paper. He threw the paper towards the eagle.

Boom!

The paper started burning, resulting in an explosion that destroyed many trees and even the ground beneath the eagle.

But Oak knew this wouldn't be enough. He had seen the horror of the fourth rank monster.

Without any thought, he ran away. He tried pushing as much Internal Strength into his legs as he could.

Though the extraction process would take some time and it was the time that caused him to enter Arvin's gaze.

Because when Arvin was running, he had already sensed the eagle coming out of an explosion.

If he did nothing, it would chase after him. So, the only way for him to survive was to let someone distract the eagle.

But he couldn't sacrifice other students. Not to mention whether he could, he didn't dare to kill them for his benefit, otherwise, it would get him kicked out of the sect.

So, his eyes lit up when he saw Oak. He didn't care what Oak was doing. He grabbed Oak before Oak could react and threw him towards the eagle.

"No!"
