Oak was feeling strange. His body seemed to have entered a strange state. He didn't know what it was because he didn't get to think about it.
He was in such an adrenaline rush that he couldn't even think properly. But after he got smashed into the pond, his body suddenly began to cool down.
That strange feeling got stronger as he dived down.
The deeper he went, the stronger this feeling became. His mind finally calmed down as he began to think.
'That state. It was The Sixth Sense, right? When I read the second condition, I was laughing at it for stating such a ridiculous method.'
'I mean, except for those crazy death-seeking protagonists, who would enter such a state in that kind of condition?'
'It turned out I was the fool. Not only did I get betrayed by the person who never cared about my life and death, but I almost died. No, am I dead?'
'What is this feeling? It makes my heart relaxed so much so that I feel like I can enter that state voluntarily.'
Yeah, Oak didn't think he could use Sixth Sense so easily after awakening it. But after entering this pond, his body and mind relaxed like never before.
It felt strange, yet he didn't feel resentment, hatred, or even anger.
Even though he could feel the betrayal that he went through.
Normally, he should feel angry, but it wasn't happening.
So, what was happening? Why was he feeling this way? What was this pond? Why didn't the eagle chase me? They can swim, right? Maybe it didn't want to dive.
While he was having several thoughts, he felt his body coming to a stop. He couldn't dive further.
He moved in the water and landed on his feet. He was already at the bottom of the pond.
Thankfully, he had closed his mouth and could hold his breath for a long time.
At least, he wouldn't die here, right?
But, should he go up? If he did that, he had a feeling that the eagle would chomp down on his head.
At this moment, his Sixth Sense gave him a strange trigger. He turned towards the direction he was getting this strange feeling and moved towards it.
He quickly came in front of a strange cave.
He tilted his head in confusion.
What's going on? Why is there a cave here?
He didn't ask much, though. He walked forward, and when he entered the cave, he realized that he had passed through some kind of invisible barrier.
Splash!
"Hoooo!"
A small amount of water fell on the ground as he opened his mouth and started breathing hard.
He didn't know how long he had kept his mouth shut. Maybe it was due to his instinct, but this action saved his life from drowning.
'Sixth Sense is awesome!'
That's all he could think. After all, it saved his life.
If he hadn't mastered the basics, he wouldn't have learned the Second Stage. If he hadn't chosen Phoenix Sword Art, he wouldn't have gotten the Sixth Sense.
If he hadn't awakened it, he would've died. That was the end of the story. There would be no future or maybe not even a third reincarnation.
He was too much of a coward and died because of his cowardly attitude.
After thinking about it, he couldn't help but feel depressed.
He chose to have a cowardly attitude to save his life, but ended up almost losing his life.
Even now, his life was still in danger because he hadn't truly left the sight of the Eagle.
'Anyway, I shouldn't think about it. Let's see what kind of place I am in. Is this the reason why that eagle isn't entering this pond?'
Oak clenched his fist and strengthened his determination once again before charging forward.
In less than a minute, he came to the end of the pond.
When he reached there, he was stunned to find a large golden skeleton. This skeleton proved that someone died here.
But he didn't understand how someone could have a golden skeleton.
He took a deep breath, suppressing his fear of ghosts, and walked towards the skeleton.
When he reached there, he found a paper. He crouched down and turned it around. He saw a few words written with blood.
"My name is Singh. To those who have passed my test, I have left everything in the ring and the skeleton. I failed to pass Tribulation and got attacked by the Ice Tiger King."
"I am sure to die here. My soul has been injured before repair, and my body is starting to freeze to death. I will use the last bit of my power to disperse the ice energy in my body."
"I have set up a formation around this cave. Those who pass my test can enter this cave and obtain everything I have. Drop your blood in the Skeleton and the ring."
Reading this, Oak paused for a moment.
What kind of luck did he possess to obtain a treasure like this?
Not to mention the skeleton, just the ring would have amazing things inside of it.
Because this guy had a golden skeleton and fought the King.
The only King he had ever heard was the official King of the kingdom 'Dai Mong Kingdom'.
Red Stone City was just one of the cities belonging to this kingdom. It was so big that the entire Eastern Wilderness Range was just a part of the eastern side of the kingdom.
That's why it was called the Eastern Wilderness Range.
Except for that guy, he hadn't heard anyone with the King title. More importantly, this title was possessed by a Tiger.
An Ice Tiger.
It was a rare breed of tiger that possessed the power of ice. Their ice was so potent that it could easily destroy the Purple Flame.
'Wait! That bird can't fly in. This is an inherited place where this senior died and left behind a formation. For some reason, nobody found this formation and it got corroded in time.'
'It adds up. This senior got struck by the Ice Tiger King and got slammed into this place. Because of the impact, it created a large crater.'
'Since this senior didn't pass the tribulation, the clouds didn't get cleared up, and it started raining. The rainwater filled this crater and turned it into a pond.'
'This senior must have used the formation to block the rain and even create a cave around himself before his death. Maybe even he realized that this would soon become a pond, so he added an extra formation to block water outside.'
'Since this formation had been blocking water for so long, it would surely run out of energy at some point. So, it began to sacrifice the part of the formation used to test others until no energy remained.'
'That's why I didn't need to pass any test. More importantly, since he dispersed the ice energy into the surrounding, it merged with water and made it change.'
'That's why I feel so relaxed. It was the ice energy of the King that affected this war. This also makes sense why the bird couldn't enter this place. Not to mention its flame can't defeat this ice, it's just a Fourth Rank.'
'I am not sure how far the King Rank is, but it should be above Ninth Rank.'
When Oak realized this, his heartbeat soared.
Because this meant he was going to gain a massive wealth and resources. Maybe he could even help his parents break through.
This thought made his heartbeat faster. He kept breathing faster until he slowly calmed down and walked in front of the skeleton.
"Senior, I will do as you say. I hope this is not a trap."
Oak was going to take this risk. He couldn't afford to back down now, especially when his chance was in front of him.
The risk was possession. After all, this person had a Golden Skeleton, and he left it for others.
He didn't even know what it would be used for. He just knew that he needed to drop his blood on it.
First of all, he pulled the ring from its finger and put it on his index finger. Then, he took a deep breath and bit his finger.
A drop of blood fell into the skeleton, and suddenly, it released an intense golden light.
The light was so strong that some of its effect appeared on the surface of the pond.
The eagle instantly noticed it and released a hoarse cry. Its golden eyes had turned red with anger.
On the other hand, Oak felt the skeleton merging with him. This was exactly what he expected.
Now, he could only hope that this wasn't a possession but a proper inheritance.
"Argh!"
Before he could think more, he felt an intense pain as if he had put his body in boiling water. His skin turned red, and he started steaming as his blood began to boil.
Roar!
