"Is Garp holding back on purpose this time?"
Sengoku couldn’t help but wonder. Roger was strong, but Garp had always been slightly stronger—historically, Roger had been the one running from Garp. Yet this time, things weren’t going as expected.
Meanwhile, Reid, still fleeing, hadn’t noticed Sengoku’s absence. Using Geppo (Moon Step), he landed above Roger and saw that the battle below had stopped.
"Why aren’t they fighting? Is it over?"
Slowing his descent, Reid dropped down beside Roger.
"System, cancel Buddha Form."
His body reverted to normal.
"Brother Roger, why’d you stop?"
"Ah~ Brother Reid, my crew’s here." Roger grinned, glancing toward the distance.
"Crew?"
Reid followed his gaze.
"Huh? Those three… don’t recognize them."
As he muttered to himself, Nozdon, Yamato, and Doringo arrived beside Roger.
Three information cards appeared before Reid’s eyes, accompanied by the System’s voice:
[Nozdon: Member of the Roger Pirates. The tallest in the crew, usually wears a tank top.]
[Yamato: Member of the Roger Pirates. Loves fashionable outfits—sunglasses are a must.]
[Doringo: Member of the Roger Pirates. Short stature, bat-like wings on his back. Excels in aerial sword combat.]
"Reinforcements, huh? These three are also Roger’s crew… I don’t remember them, but they must be strong if they’re part of his crew. If Sengoku and the others don’t retreat now, they’re in for a beating."
Reid smirked, an unconscious grin of confidence spreading across his face.
"Captain Roger, sorry to keep you waiting." Nozdon’s towering figure loomed over them, his voice gruff but warm.
"Captain!" Yamato flashed a grin, his golden, taro-shaped hair standing out vividly.
"Captain! Doringo missed you so much! I’m so glad you’re okay… so glad… When I heard the Marines captured you, I was heartbroken!"
Doringo flew straight into Roger’s arms, tears streaming down his face.
"Hahaha! I’m fine. Perfect timing—we’ve got some annoying Marines to chase off this island."
Roger patted Doringo’s back with one hand and rested the other on his hip, his tone merciless.
"Hah! Good. It’s been too long since I cut down a few Marines for fun." Yamato drew his sword, lips curling into a smirk.
"Heh, I was thinking the same. This past year’s been boring—just catching a few Sea Kings to pass the time."
Nozdon clenched his massive fists and slammed them into the ground, shaking the earth. At 6–7 meters tall, his sheer presence was overwhelming.
"Damn, they’re brutal…"
Reid gulped. He’d never seen someone so huge before. Roger was already tall, but next to Nozdon, he looked like a dwarf.
Listening to their taunts, Garp’s face turned crimson, steam practically puffing from his nostrils.
**"Roger, don’t get cocky! No matter how many you bring, I
Garp thought to himself.
"Enough talk. Brothers, today we fight to our hearts' content!"
Roger raised his sword, pointing it at Garp. "Let’s go!"
"Roger, I’m gonna pummel you!"
Garp rolled up his sleeves, his fists instantly hardening with Armament Haki.
"Hahaha! Garp, I’m not done with you yet!"
Gripping his blade, Roger charged at Garp, his face alight with the unyielding spirit of a true man. Pirates and Marines were mortal enemies—there was no room for peace when they clashed.
"Sengoku, leave him to us brothers!"
Yamato, Nozdon, and Doringo moved as one to confront Sengoku.
"I am an Admiral of the Marines! What right do mere pirate underlings have to challenge me?!"
Sengoku’s Buddha Form radiated divine light, his anger flaring. As a Marine Admiral, he refused to tolerate such brazen defiance from pirates.
"Sengoku, don’t forget about me—Reid!"
Reid transformed into his own Buddha Form, startling Yamato and the others.
"Who the hell are you?!"
Yamato’s eyes nearly popped out of his skull. What the hell is going on?!
Nozdon and Doringo exchanged bewildered glances. How does this guy have the same power as Sengoku?!
"I’m Reid. Just joined the Roger Pirates. And as for you, Sengoku—"
