CHIGOZIE POV
"Papa no" I screamed, As I watched my father and the alpha fight, smoke had filled the air, and a clash and wind and lightning was brewing, the fire blurred my vision and moment before I passed out I saw a familiar red fiery eyes staring back at me with a hate so strong it could be felt for miles away. I jolted up from my bed so fast my head began to spin, I looked around to see I was in my room.
"The same dream again" I sighed, I looked at my phone and it was exactly 5a.m. I got up from bed and got ready for work, I got down to see my mom was in the living room looking at a board full of pictures of missing werewolf, it been happening for a couple of months now but people have been going missing,it started with werewolves, then vampires, and how a few human have also gone missing.
"You are up early" my mom said while still being focused on the board, I greeted her good morning and headed to work.
I arrived at the restaurant "The Howling Spot" and opened the door I quickly set the chairs and started preparing the food, I started with the foods that will take the longest since the time was a little over 6am. By 7 other worker had come and joined me in cooking, when enough workers had arrived and enough dish had been done we quickly opened and a lot of customers rushed in, I looked around and saw everything was in order and went to my office I called the mangers of my other restaurants to ask about the progress and to inform him that the shipment of Nigerian food ingredients will arrive in a few days.
I was in the middle of talking to the manger when I felt something calling me, something strong that I could not resist even cloud my wolf spirit could not hold himself back my eyes changed into a bright brown, I followed the feeling and walked outside my office to see the restaurant was packed, I kept on following the feeling until my eyes met with someone, her eyes were like Jem's in the sunlight, her skin pale like snow and her hair was like the night.
"Mate" cloud growled as we locked her, she looked at me like she also heard it before snapping back to reality, I followed her trying to say something but the words were refusing to leave my mouth, she ordered a bowl of pepper soup with alot of goat meat saying a friend recommended it to her, I told the waiter that I would take care of her order and told the chefs I would make the food for her personally. Since words refused to come out I would express myself with my cooking I poured my heart into making the pepper soup, as I was about to serve her the food I received a call from my mother I gave a waiter to serve her so I could pick my mother's call
"Hello chigozie" my mom said and from the background I could tell she is driving.
"Hello mummy" I said still looking at my mate.
"I know you are at work, but I need you to come to the pack house either this night or tomorrow morning, the alpha wants to address the kidnapping that had the been happening" my mom said
" I would try to be their this night....ohh and I have good news for you, I will tell you when we see" I said looking around for my mate, I had lost sight of her a few minutes ago
" Good news?....have you found you mate" my mom gasps, you can tell she is giggling
" Maybe, but we will talk about it when we see" I said still trying to find her
" Alright, alright, but I'm gonna tell elli" my mom giggled again ending the call before I could protest"
I sighed and walked over to the waiter who served the food to ask if my mate had gone
"Sir the woman you asked me to served the pepper left immediately she was done eating, but she did ask me to give u this" the waiter said handing me a paper note, I opened it
"Pinewood park, 7pm....bring pepper soup" I smiled and thanked the waiter, I continued with my day and distracted myself with work until it was 6pm, I informed the manager I was leaving and might not be around tomorrow.
I arrived at the park at exactly 7pm with two plates of pepper soup still hot
" You are late" a voice said from the tree, I looked up to see a shadowy figure with bright red eyes
" It's 7pm just like u said" I said sitting down on a near by bench.
" Yeah but a real gentleman would come by 6pm so technically you are late" the figure said before coming down from the tree, although I am able to see perfectly at night I was unable to see her, she walked into the light and I finally got the chance to see her properly, she was around 6f't tall and her skin would have put snow white to shame, her lips were blood red either naturally or a lipstick, she had a slime figure that complimented her trousers, her white shirt wrote "rebel" on it, she sat down beside me
"Hi I'm Ruby" she said extending her hand to shake me, I shakes her back and as our hands touch their was the electrifying feeling that passed round my body, it was the human equivalent to butterflies in my stomach, looking at her she felt it to,I was lost in thoughts when she interrupted me
"Hmm this is the part you introduce yourself" she said looking at me confused
"Ohh sorry, I'm chigozie but you can call me chi or gozie" I said sweating from nervousness.
"Nah I would call you chigozie" she said as she rested her head in the bench.
We spent the rest of the night getting to know each other, she told me how a friend recommended the Nigerian restaurant to her saying we had the best foods which is true if I do say so myself. I also found out she is a vampire and her dad is a politicians and is well respected in the vampire community, we both talked about how we are the only child and lost one of our parents although I did leave some part of that story out.
It's currently 1am in the morning and I just got home, I and ruby talked throughout the night and even exchanged numbers, today is literally the best day ever, as I drifted to sleep, one thought filled my mind "I have found my mate,and her beauty knows no bounds"
