Chapter 10 - Chapter 10- If the World Forgets You,I Stull Will Remember

Scene 1: Village Courtyard – Evening Before Nauryz Eve

The village buzzes with Nauryz preparations—food, music, lights, and laughter. People hang white cloth banners and string flowers from yurt doors.

Ainur helps decorate with her cousin, but her eyes keep drifting across the courtyard—where Arman is helping tie festival flags.

She smiles… just a little.

But she doesn't notice Yerzhan watching her.

Scene 2: The Lakeside – Secret Meeting

That night, under silver stars and the full moon, Ainur walks quietly toward the lake, the wind catching her scarf.

She finds Arman already there, standing by the water, waiting.

AINUR (softly):

"I thought you wouldn't come."

ARMAN (smiling):

"I would've come even if the sky fell."

She walks up to him. No fear in her eyes now.

Just a steady heart.

AINUR:

"I'm scared of you."

ARMAN (quietly):

"I know."

AINUR:

"Because I still remember how it felt to be yours."

ARMAN (stepping closer):

"Then let me remind you how it feels to be loved by me… not left."

And finally—he holds her hand.

She lets him.

They sit by the lake in silence, wrapped in the blanket of the stars and years of unspoken words.

Scene 3: The Next Morning — Village Square

People gather for the Nauryz celebration. Music plays, steam rises from cauldrons of nauryz kozhe, children run around with flower crowns.

Yerzhan steps forward, speaking loudly to Ainur's father.

YERZHAN:

"As the guest of honor, I'd like to announce something before everyone—my hope to marry Ainur."

The crowd gasps softly. Everyone turns to Ainur.

Before her father can respond—Arman steps forward.

His voice is calm, clear.

ARMAN:

"With all respect, sir—Ainur already gave her heart years ago. She just needed time to find it again."

The village falls into silence. All eyes on Ainur.

She steps forward, lifts her chin, and looks directly at Arman.

AINUR:

"I never lost it. I just waited for you to come back… and mean it."

Scene 4: After the Crowd – A Promise Under the Tree

Under the apricot tree where it all began, they sit side by side.

He ties a small gold thread around her wrist—a Kazakh tradition for a wish.

ARMAN (gently):

"This is not just a promise. It's a prayer

That no matter what, we never become strangers again."

AINUR (smiling):

"Then stop acting like one… and kiss me like you're home."

And he does.
