Paisley got to where the car and was about to lean onto the trunk when she saw Aiden behind her. She looked at him—amazed that he had finished his conversation with his friend so quickly.
"Thought you would stay longer with her." Paisley said to him.
Aiden leaned closer, gently grabbing the shopping bags from her hand a d placing them into the trunk.
" It's just a coincidence that we met today. There's nothing interesting to discuss between us." he replied her.
"Really" Paisley said being amused by his answer, with the way the girl was trying to lean closer to him, one would quite think they were in some form of intimate relationship. But his reply just now seem to dismiss that thought.
"Just a coincidence". Aiden replied her as if reassuring her. He couldn't pick up the hidden meaning behind her expression.
"Ok. I'll get into the car now." Paisley said about to open the car door when Aiden's hands brushed past her reaching for the door and pulling it open.
"Thank you." She said as she entered the car while he entered the driver's seat after locking it.
" You're going home aren't you." Aiden said as he glanced at the watch in his wrist.
"Yeah, my Grandpa would be waiting for me by now" Paisley replied and he immediately started the car and drove away.

In the Drake's Mansion, Seth had just entered into the living room feeling as lazy and tired as ever. In the living room, Old Drake was found sitting on the arm chair by the curtain wall. Seth walked forward, throwing himself onto the sofa with an aura of laziness filling the air.
"What'wrong with now?" Grandpa Drake asked with his voice not showing a hint of concern.
"Grandpa, I spent the entire day working in the security system, now my entire body and brain aches" Seth pouted.
Old Drake's face remained unchanged, with his eyes fixed on the book he was reading and his hands occasionally touching the rim of his glasses.
"I could believe your body would ache but not your brain, I doubt you even use it at all".
Seth : "Grandpa!!"
Old Drake didn't pay attention to his bickering and continued reading his book. After a while he remembered someone went out and was supposed to be accompanied by Seth. He glanced at the lazy figure laying on the sofa with his legs up and hands behind his head.
"Where's she?" he asked.
Seth glanced at him, as if remembering something,
"Aiden accompanied her while I was busy working."
Old Drake frowned in surprise, not angry or delighted, just his old curiosity and shock spiking up from his consciousness.
"And she agreed?" he continued asking.
"I have no idea about that, but I can assume she did, after all they're not here yet." Seth replied as he settled up looking outside the curtain wall.
A black sport car was parked outside and Aiden seemed to come out from the driver's seat and head to the passenger seat opening the door for Paisley who was struggling with her seatbelt.
"Seems like they're here already." Old Drake said as he saw them.
Outside, Paisley had just come out from the car after Aiden repeated his gentlemanly act of helping her with the door but skipping the part of stretching his hand forward for a lift.
He opened the trunk and brought out the three shopping bags which were filled obviously with stuffs she had bought.
"Thank you" she said as she tried collecting the bags from him but he seemed insisting on carrying the bags inside.
He helped her carry the bag as she couldn't refuse him. He came into the living room and handed the bags to the maid who took them upstairs into Paisley's room.
"Good day Grandpa Drake." Aiden greeted as he saw the elder seated on the arm chair reading a book.
"Young Alpha, good to see you in a day like this." Old Drake replied. Unlike Seth, he found Aiden more reasonable and elegant unlike the lazy and extremely sarcastic playboy he had for a grandson.
Aiden sat down on the sofa kicking away Seth's leg which was resting on it. Seth frowned in pain as Aiden used his powers to push him away from where he was to sit making Seth to hit his head onto the opposite end of the sofa.
"How'd it go?" Seth asked Aiden while he sat up straight.
"I should be asking you if you're done with your pilled up work in the security system " Aiden replied.
Seth didn't reply, only his face showing the representation of tiredness. He leaned is back on the sofa, sitting comfortably and crossing his legs assuming Aiden's stance.
"So, how do you find my grand daughter?" Old Drake asked directing the question at Aiden as he placed his as he threw the book gently onto the table making a thump.
Aiden hesitated for some minutes while Seth chimed in;
"Come on grandpa, they've only met twice and with their introverted personality, I'd doubt that they've even had a nice chat yet. How could he possibly evaluate her so quickly. "
Aiden scoffed at Seth's words somehow finding that he did make a lot of sense. However he decided to just go on with the elder's play.
" She seems intelligent and smart, from my opinion she does have some great potential, but she wears a mask making it hard for me to sense her thoughts."
Grandpa Drake smiled for a few seconds, his breath shallow and thoughts hidden. He looked at Aiden who seemed to be looking upstairs in Parsley's room direction.
"Aiden I'll discuss something important with you some other time when you visit again". Old Drake said while he stood up. Though he was old, as a werewolf he still stood firm without support. He climbed up the stairs heading toward the library as usual.
As he climbed up, Paisley was also coincidentally climbing down when she ran into him. He looked at her with a pause;
" Don't forget to see him out." he said before he left. Paisley nodded and continued going down.
The sound of slippers hitting against the staircase reached Aiden's ear and he raised his head looking up to see who it was.
Paisley was seen coming down the stairs elegantly, she had just taking a shower and had changed into a denim short and a purple transparent shirt with a back strap shirt beneath. Her long hair hung down her shoulders giving a natural touch to her beautiful oval face.
Aiden immediately drifted his eyes off her to avoid being lost in her beauty. Seth on the other hand had a frown up his face as he saw her come down.
Seth who noticed him stare at her pretended as if nothing was wrong and acted normal. He looked at her as she walked the fridge in quick strides.
"Should'nt you be leaving now" He said to Aiden, not insisting on driving him away but rather more concerned about him.
"I'll head to the security system to question those guys myself, if possible I can maybe head home after that". Aiden replied coldly as his face reassumed the cold expression as he thought of those criminals.
"Better leave early, I'm going up to have some rest
" Seth said as he stood up.
Aiden nodded his head as he too stood up. His eyes seeming to fall on the girl who walked up to him.
"I'll walk you out to your car". Paisley said to him confidently with her hands clutching the cold bottle water in her hands.
"Ok" Aiden replied while both of them went out as she walked him to his car before stopping as he entered into the car. "Thank you for today".
"Hmm." he replied her firmly, not saying anything else but his eyes and hidden expression confirming the acceptance of gratitude from her. He turned on the car engine and rolled up the window before driving off.
