Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Dream Between Worlds

POV: Guhan & Elira (Shared Dream)

---

[Velkara – Night of the Second Moon]

The twin moons hung heavy over the cliffs of Velkara. Guhan sat beside a glowing spring, body bruised from his latest dragon trial, breath rising like mist.

He closed his eyes.

He meant only to rest.

But sleep took him… deeper.

Not into silence.

But into light.

---

[Indravan – Elira's Shrine]

Elira knelt before the forest shrine, fingers pressed to the earth, whispering old elf rites.

> "Let the wind carry my thoughts.

Let my heart reach his shadow.

Let my voice find the one I wait for."

The candles flickered—

And her eyes fluttered shut.

She fell... gently.

And in her dream—

She saw him.

---

[The Dream Realm]

They stood under a sky made of stars, the ground soft as clouds. Time didn't move here.

Guhan blinked.

Elira stood across from him, barefoot, hair loose, eyes wide.

> "Is this... real?" he asked.

> "It feels like us," she replied softly.

He stepped closer. His armor was gone. She wore a simple green dress like leaves in spring.

No weapons. No war. Just them.

> "I missed you," she said.

> "I was afraid you'd forget," he replied.

She touched his hand.

> "How could I forget the man who never asks for thanks... but saves everyone anyway?"

> "I didn't save you," he whispered.

> "You did," she smiled. "You let me see who you really are."

---

[Moments That Shouldn't Exist]

They danced slowly, wordlessly—bare feet in starlight. Guhan, who had forgotten softness, held her like something fragile.

> "Promise me," Elira whispered.

"That no matter what happens—you'll return."

He looked into her eyes.

For once, he didn't hide.

> "Even if the stars fall… I'll come home."

They kissed.

Time stopped.

The dream began to fade.

---

[Elira Awakens – Alone]

She opened her eyes.

The shrine was quiet. Her hands still on the earth.

But a single crimson feather lay in front of her—warm to the touch.

She smiled.

> "He's alive."

---

[Guhan Awakens – Velkara]

He awoke to the sunrise over dragon cliffs.

A breeze passed. It smelled faintly of green leaves and jasmine.

He touched his chest where she had leaned against him in the dream.

> "I'll come home," he whispered.

> "Even if I have to burn the sky."
