Chapter Twenty Six
Yuta watched in horror as Tomas collapsed. The man's skin rapidly turning from that deathly ash to an even sicker purple color. His whole body started convulsing like demons were clawing at him from the inside.
"Help," Tomas gasped, black foam bubbling from his mouth. Dark veins spread across his face like cursed marks, pulsing with each heartbeat.
Yuta had never seen anything so horrifying. He looked down at Shadow, who was still coiled on the ground, the snake's red eyes gleaming with violence.
"My lady!" Tomas screamed toward Lyria, his voice already weakening. "Please! The venom burns!"
But one of Lyria's attendants stepped forward, her golden hair flowing like liquid fire. Demonic power radiated from her skin, making the air thick and oppressive.
"How dare a common human beg for mercy from my mistress," she hissed, her eyes flashing with otherworldly light. "Take your rotting carcass away before it pollutes the ground she walks on."
