Chapter twenty five
Yuta was lying by the lake again, the water was warm this time, not cold like before. Moonlight made everything glow silver and beautiful.
The black snake appeared from nowhere, sliding into the water beside him. Its scales caught the light as it moved closer, and Yuta didn't feel afraid. He felt something else—something that made his heart beat faster.
The snake was beautiful. So beautiful it hurts to look at. Its red eyes watched him with an intensity that made Yuta's breath catch.
"Shadow," Yuta breathed.
