Chapter 14 - Chapter 13: The Three-Headed Dog Fluffy

Sure enough, the Weasley twins were clever enough to secretly spill some food to mislead Mrs. Norris and lead Filch away.

Alvin watched the twins and found their antics amusing.

In his previous life, while watching the movies, the Weasley twins had always been captivating. As the mischief kings of Hogwarts, each film showcased their ridiculous antics.

Sadly, Fred died in the end.

Leaving only one twin, who would be alone from then on.

Alvin regretted this in his previous life, but it didn't stop him from planning to play a prank on them now.

After all, the twins had disrupted his night tour plans.

Watching the twins walking ahead, oblivious to the impending danger, Alvin gave them a sly smile.

With a flick of his wand, a pair of armored helmets on the side of the corridor suddenly fell to the ground, making a loud noise.

"Boom!"

In the empty corridor, the sound echoed.

The twins, who had just passed by, were startled and quickly looked back to see what had happened. But to their confusion, only a helmet lay on the ground, with no other person in sight.

In the distance, Mrs. Norris's meow and Filch's footsteps could be heard again.

Frightened, the twins panicked, not bothering to investigate, and hurriedly took the nearby stairs to the fourth floor.

Alvin held back his laughter and quietly followed the twins.

"Haha! Students out at night, I have to tell Filch!"

Suddenly, Alvin heard a voice from the corner of the stairs on the fourth floor. It turned out that Peeves had found the twins.

...

Peeves roamed the castle as usual, looking for opportunities to cause chaos. When he reached the fourth floor, he suddenly heard hurried footsteps and floated toward the sound.

At that moment, the twins, fleeing in embarrassment, appeared before him, which delighted him.

Although he and the Weasleys had similar mischievous tendencies, it didn't mean he wouldn't trick them. There could only be one king of mischief at Hogwarts, and that was Lord Peeves!

"Hee hee, the Weasley kids, caught by the great Peeves?"

"As long as you say, 'the great Lord Peeves is the most mischievous person at Hogwarts,' I'll consider letting you go, how about that?"

Peeves opened his mouth wide and let out a weird laugh, appearing very proud.

The twins looked at each other, and Fred smiled at Peeves.

"The great Lord Peeves."

"The most mischievous person at Hogwarts," George followed.

Then the twins looked at each other again and suddenly laughed, saying in unison,

"Of course it's us!"

With that, the twins ran to the right, leaving Peeves fuming and jumping in place.

"Pfft!"

Alvin couldn't help it anymore and laughed out loud. The twins were so funny, even in this situation they could tease Peeves.

"Who!"

Peeves was startled by the laughter but quickly realized there were hidden students around. He looked around.

Alvin wanted to see what other fun the twins could create and didn't want to be haunted by Peeves.

Seeing chalk on the ground, likely dropped by Peeves to throw at students, Alvin flicked his wand and whispered, "Waddiwasi!"

The chalk on the ground shot like cannonballs at Peeves, one by one.

Peeves was terrified; these chalk tips didn't pass through his body but hurt him, and he ran to the left corridor with a whimper.

Alvin deliberately controlled the direction of the chalk, forcing Peeves to go the opposite way from the Weasleys.

But the corridor on the fourth floor, on the right, seemed so familiar.

Suddenly, Alvin's face changed slightly. Dumbledore had emphasized the direction that students were forbidden to go to during the opening ceremony.

Isn't this where the first-year adventure is? If the twins broke into the abandoned classroom there, they would encounter Fluffy, the three-headed dog guarding the trapdoor.

Without knowing the three-headed dog's weakness, it was still very dangerous.

Didn't a certain Potions professor get bitten on the leg?

Thinking of this, Alvin didn't stop, cast a light spell on his legs, and walked toward the right corridor.

Sure enough, after a while, he saw the twins studying how to open the door to the abandoned classroom.

Fred used an unlocking spell, the door opened in response, and the two rushed in excitedly.

Alvin patted his forehead. Dumbledore's defenses were too weak, not even putting a counter-spell on the unlocking spell. Was he afraid Harry wouldn't get in?

He hurriedly followed the twins inside and saw a huge three-headed dog lying on a trapdoor, its three heads drooping quietly as if sleeping.

A stench hit his nostrils, and Alvin quickly held his breath.

Goodness, did this three-headed dog have its own biochemical attack?

The twins didn't react as quickly. Smelling the stench, one of them—whether George or Fred—blurted out, "It smells so bad!" It was especially clear in the quiet environment.

In an instant, the three heads of the three-headed dog opened their eyes simultaneously, two heads staring at the twins standing in front of it, and the other head looking at Alvin standing not far away.

Apparently, the Disillusionment Charm doesn't mask smell; it just blends the caster with the environment.

Suddenly, the middle head of the three-headed dog roared and lunged at the twins, who stood dumbfounded.

The two reacted quickly, instantly pulling out their wands and releasing two Stunning Spells.

But the two were only in the third year, and their magic wasn't strong. The three-headed dog stumbled a little, then continued to attack like a normal dog.

This time Alvin didn't bother to hide and revealed himself.

"Quickly, a Knockback Jinx!"

Alvin put all his strength into the spell. A red light shot from the tip of his wand and slammed into the three-headed dog.

"Boom!" Like being hit by a truck, the three-headed dog flew back and slammed into the classroom wall with a loud bang.

The twins were obviously startled, not expecting a third person to be there.

Alvin didn't have time to explain. The three-headed dog's magic resistance was high, and a single Knockback Jinx couldn't cause effective damage.

"Hurry up and play some music to put the three-headed dog to sleep, otherwise the noise will attract professors and even Dumbledore."

Alvin's mind raced. He shouted at the twins, "Sing, sing the song you sang at the sorting ceremony!"

Though puzzled, the twins understood Alvin had a purpose. Without hesitation, they began singing the "Funeral March Version of the Hogwarts School Song."
