Aria's POV
"Aria, please come to my office immediately."
My phone buzzed with Damon's message just as I was packing my things at my desk. My heart clenched. After everything—Celeste's sabotage, the deepfake scandal—I thought we'd reached a fragile stability. Now this summons felt ominous.
"On my way." I typed back, trying to steady my racing pulse. I took a deep breath, smoothing my blouse. I had no idea what awaited me.
I stepped into the executive corridor. Godson gave me a brief, apologetic nod as I passed. His eyes held concern. I swallowed, bracing myself. Approaching Damon's office, I noticed two figures already inside: Celeste Langford, looking impossibly composed, and a woman I recognized immediately—Tessa Rowe, Damon's former elite executive assistant before I arrived. Tessa's expression was unreadable but cold. A chill ran down my spine.
I knocked lightly.
"Come in," Damon's voice called.
