Aria's POV
"Aria, are you coming in?"
Godson's voice echoed down the corridor as I approached Westin Industries that morning.
My stomach twisted at the thought of returning after recent turmoil. I smoothed my blouse—trying to appear composed despite my pounding heart.
"Yes," I replied softly into my earpiece. "On my way."
I stepped through the lobby doors, greeted by the usual polished calm. But an uneasy hush rippled among staff as they glanced at me.
My pulse quickened. Yesterday had been about Lila's recovery; today was meant to focus on my work. Yet the atmosphere felt heavy, charged with anticipation I didn't understand.
I moved toward my desk, greeting a few colleagues with forced smiles. But their eyes lingered on me strangely: pity mixed with something sharper—curiosity, judgment. I swallowed. Something was off.
