[ Chapter VII (7): "03/20/2025— UPGRADING THE ABILITY, FIRST CITIZEN & MY LEG!" ]

[ ULTIMATE DWELLER'S DOMAIN LVL. 1 ]

[ 500 SYSTEM CREDITS TO UPGRADE! ]

[ "That sounds about fair." ] Elias smiles in seeing how cheap the upgrade of his most ultimate skill there ever is could be, he was ready to lay down 1,000 Credits of what he has, but it seems he only needed to spend about half of it. So he upgrades it.

[ DOES PLAYER WANTS TO UPGRADE "ULTIMATE DWELLER'S DOMAIN" TO LVL. 2? ]

[ YES ] [ NO ]

With eyebags under his eyes he reads the text— he wasn't able to sleep properly or have any sleep in general due to the giant mysterious bird that appeared out of nowhere, eating the corpses that he killed.

Yes, he is thankful that bird is eating the deceased so that they wouldn't stench the ground around his building... But damn, the tradeoff of it cawing once for every 5 seconds isn't fair at all. [ CAW ]

[ "Stop up!" ] He glanced out the window and screamed on top of his lungs even though it came out as hoarse. Getting another caw in response, causing him to be more annoyed by the thing. [ "I'm gonna kill you some day, I swear...!" ]

After venting out his frustrations to the giant black fried chicken, he then fianlly calmled down. That is of course after a round of breathing exercise, his brain feeling little bit of clarity— at least enough for him to not go out and throw Goblin corpse at the said bird, [ "Alright, where was I?" ]

He then focused his attention back on the text in front of him, reading it, before then ultimately agreeing to it as he clicks the floating yes button... In doing so, the text flickered out of existence, and the lvl. 1 ability of his upgraded and turned into lvl. 2. That is called progress.

[ "Hey, huh...?" ] Surprising so, the red light of his that forms a barrier then increased in sizes and length... Elias glanced at his right and could notice the said lights expanding, a foul stench then entered his nostrils, causing him to look at his left...

And just like he suspected, the Domain of his which was previously 20x20x20 did increase in size, it's just that, he doesn't know by how much at the moment. [ "Damn, this... Uhh!" ] Pinching his nose, he tries to get rid of the invasive stench coming from the corpses of Goblins...

Corpses of Goblins which was once outside the barrier of his, now is inside due to it expanding... Which in turn causing Elias, the killer of those monsters to smell the rotting odor that they imit. [ "Stupid Goblins...!" ]

Coming closer to the Goblins, he decided to do what he could. That is to drag them one-by-one, or two at the time, and throw them out the window lest they release more of that disgusting air from their body; covering his nose using his shirt, he then started.

[ 1 LIFEFORM WITH THE CLASSIFICATION TO BE A CITIZEN HAS BEEN DETECTED INSIDE/TRYING TO GET INSIDE THE ULTIMATE DWELLER'S DOMAIN! ]

[ WILL PLAYER GIVE A CITIZENSHIP? ]

[ YES ] [ NO ]

[ "Excuse me...?" ] Reading the text that flickered in front of him, he became curious, but paused his curiosity to solve the current problem he has... Which is Goblins... He grabbed them, as he them with all the strength he has and thrown one out the window; out of his domain. [ CAW ]

[ "Yeah, that's what you deserve!" ] Leaning out the window, he screamed out to the giant omen of death, as it then flaps it's wings to avoid the falling corpse... It did so in quick motion that it almost looked like a blur, with the corpse splattering and missing the black bird by large margin.

He glanced at the other Goblin on his left-hand and then thrown it also, as he couldn't bear the stench of theirs... After some time, he was finally able to clear all the corpses inside his room— but the unbearable smell is still there, causing him to lean out the window and open his door to let the bad air out... If that's even possible.

[ "Okay,... what the hell are you again...?" ] He went and redirected his attention to the floating window in front of him, at the Citizenship thing that he hadn't known yet... Judging from the wording, some human is trying to enter his domain, or had already did through his domain expanding...

[ "Wait..." ] The size upgrade shouldn't be that much, he glanced down at the height of the the shield and his guess was correct... It wasn't that much, about 10-20ft of height at most, so how can he already reach another human being; well, [ "Unless someone was living on the second floor..." ]

To confirm his suspicion, he activated his previous useless ability— the Ultimate Dweller's Eyes, the second ability he acquired, in this case by accidentally leveling-up to reach 5. It was a skill that he used previously in-between of him killing Goblins, at that time it was useless.

[ PLAYER IS USING ULTIMATE DWELLER'S EYES LVL. 1 ]

This renders the walls and anything physical to be nothing, as black-and-white actually, including everything that the inside of his Domain has in. The outside isn't affected by this, thus still giving them their color with him glancing outside. [ "Oh wow, my Domain... it did increase in size, didn't it?" ]

Looking around, he noticed the changes, and could see that the fifth floor, the floor above him is finally fully encompassed inside his domain, that plus some parts of the sky... Then he glanced to his left, then to his right, noticing the apartment rooms besides him also being encompassed in.

In all the rooms, he could see clothing, toys, ontouched furnitures, gadgets and everything inside, in black-and-white. Now giving him the full scope of things, as compared to before, this is better...

But still even with the upgrade, in this 5 floored, 50 roomed building. He could only completely see about 12 rooms in total, while the rest isn't fully at reach yet, or isn't completely covered by his Domain powers... Even the rooms on the other side of the building is also that, only some parts succumbing to it, as most aren't.

[ "What the fuck am I seeing...?!?" ] His expectations in seeing another human being was crushed when he glanced down, at the second-floor to be exact which has outlines of tiny midgets... judging from their stance and black outlines, possibly green in color, as they are outside the corridors seemingly shaking in anger.

He counted and counted, could only see about 6 of them... Which made him frustrated, but he looked closer and notice on his vision was another figure, this one faint, crouched and is in the room exactly 2 floors below him. [ "A human!" ]

He who had live with humans for 22 years, and is one himself, wouldn't mistake a silhouette of one for another thing— like for example he wouldn't mistake a human for a Goblin, a human to a horse, or a human to a common monkey even though some would argue that both species look alike...

He somewhat agrees and also not on that last part, as the shape of a human is distinct after all. Plus the fact that a floating window saying, [ ARTHUR P. ADLAWAN LVL. 4 ] is above that said entity's head, it confirms to Elias that it is after all a human.

As for the rest, like monsters, they don't have a distinct name, only species name and the level that varies appearing above their heads. Goblins for Goblins and such. For a monster to have a first, middle, and last name is weird, unprecedented and would ruin the flow of the System... So he/she definitely isn't a species of monster, or a monster on itself— but is human, like him.

[ "Holy hairballs!" ] Smiling but also worried about the seemingly injured man, bleeding judging from the black pool of ink under him. Elias quickly sprung to his feet, as his tiredness disappeared in one-go, replaced instead by a sense of excitement and worry.

The Baseball Bat that has the top of it partially destroyed and is covered in black sticky goo, the weapon of his was then grabbed by as he then runs as fast as he could out the door and into the corridor.

[ "The kid is dying, u-uhh grant the citizenship, damn it!" ] He clicked the yes on the floating window following him as it then flickered out of existence, instead being replaced by the window; [ 1/3 CITIZENS ] before then disappearing in his view.

At this point, Elias is already running down the stairs with his non dominant hand covering his nose from the foul smell... Most of which is either from blood both red and black, or due to piss, or excrement of the said monsters that passes by, the more and more appears the more he descends.

[ "Uhh- disgusting!" ] Having been confined in his room for a week, he hadn't known the state of the building that he is in. And in now having the chance of seeing it, it then disgusted him to the max, it being filled with bad odor and anything alike that Elias wouldn't even wanna know what...

As he instead runs down the stairs, Baseball Bat in hand, turning to his left, he then paused in seeing a cockroach that is taller and weight more than the pipsqueak cockroach eating something on the ground, on the way of his which frightens him to his core. [ "I-I don't have time for this, move!" ]

[ MUTATED COCKROACH LVL. 2 ]

Elias loves chocolates, that's a pretty random fact. And when he found out that some parts of insects are actually inside the cocoa that is used to make chocolates, he right then and there became disgusted and started a vendetta against all insects.

Cockroaches actually being on top of his list due to him seeing one wherever he goes. As at the moment he takes the chance to beat one up like a nasty piñata, ignoring the shriek of fear that it is exuding, before then finally dying, [ "D-die scum...!" ]

Gagging inside his mouth, Elias didn't feel great in seeing the gruesome scene of an oversized cockroach, in-between the size of an cat and a dog, crawling away as he beats it. Nonetheless, killing it is actually the best option, as he is quite sure that it would be painful being bitten by one.

Continuing his running, he was then finally met with the scene of the Goblins frozen in the corridor— most of them black-and-white and is inside his barrier, while some, a tiny bit about 3 of them is out... Causing him to worry a bit, especially with his barriers not being there to protect.

[ "Kekeee!" ] The Goblin draws his crooked bow and was ready to fire, the others grabbed their weapons. Seeing this, rather than panicking, Elias acted first and didn't let them attack. As he then swats the nearest Goblin into the wall, causing the thing to release its weapon.

[ "Uhh!" ] As he then kicks another to the face, into his barrier causing the greenskin to bounced back. About to hit the last Goblin, the bow wielding one, Elias was too late as he gets shot in the leg... It plunging into his left leg, causing him to kneel in the dirty floor, [ "Damn!" ]

Gritting his teeth, he then throws his Baseball Bat to the bow wielding Goblin as it tries to grab another arrow from it's quiver. This distraction caused it to stop, as it gets hit in the head by Elias' lucky wooden bat, before then getting stab in the face seconds later by it's kin's knife. Ending it.

[ GOBLIN LVL. 4 KILLED BY PLAYER! ]

[ GOBLIN LVL. 2 KILLED BY PLAYER! ]

[ GOBLIN LVL. 2 KILLED BY PLAYER! ]

This was followed by him killing the other 2 still moving Goblins, as he didn't let them have time to recover. With them unarmed, it was an easy task even to Elias who has his one leg stuck to the floor due to it getting shot at. The first actual experience of his getting hurt in killing Goblins, even though he had killed probably 50+ by now.

The other Goblins which are immobilized inside his domain watches in horror as he stands up, looking annoyed than ever— as he whimpers to himself, the pain written to his face, but also relief in finally exterminating the threat that was on his way, [ "Uhuhuh, my leg!" ]
