[ Chapter VI (6): "03/20/2025— NEW MONSTER, SLEEPING(?) & OTHER SURVIVORS IN NEED!" ]

[ "AHHHHH-!" ] Sitting on his window's edge, Elias could be seen looking out the window, scanning for any group of Goblin or rogue monsters that could possibly be of used to him. As piles of monsters below ranging from distinguishable and not could be seen laying lifeless on below, crushed as destroyed furniture could be seen near.

[ COUGH ] Not just that, on his doorway is other Goblins that was able to venture and enter his building— some of them he had actually used as substitute for the furnitures, as throwables. All dead, beaten to death by Elias' gooey Baseball Bat.

The morning sun without the burning sensation greets him from the distance, which he smiles in seeing, fully welcoming he feeling of it for what seems to be the first time since the Apocalypse— in the Post-Apocalypse landscape he now resides.

Unlike before, wherein he only welcome the morning sun hidden behind the reinforced window of his... But now, thanks to his god-given ability, he could welcome it without any distractions on the way. [ "..." ]

Or even to worry about monsters that terrorizes him so much, to the point that he hardly get any sleep no matter what he does. All of those such things, have no power against his unmovable domain; as they lay quietly dead on the street, having their values sucked out of them.

Feeling his throat hurting, hoarse in screaming for hours on end— to attract the attention of any night roaming monsters, it turned to this... As he much rather not speak for the time being, the adrenaline finally withering, seemingly on cooldown.

Feeling his eyelids heavy, Elias closed it as he lets the sun get into his skin... Which is weird, as that shouldn't be; as earlier before he tested that no air, water, or solid objects could enter his domain. But Elias guess that in his state he welcomed the sunlight subcontinent or something, thus allowing it to pass onto his domain.

That's his working theory at the moment, as even though he kept tinkering with the System in-between of him luring the greenskins. He still doesn't fully understand how it exactly works, as he hadn't unlocked the System's full potential yet.

[ THUD ] Hearing something collide with his barrier, he then opened his eyes. [ "What th-!" ] The drowsiness of his immediately leaving his body, as he gets face-to-face with a gigantic double headed raven— the first he has saw one causing his shock, as it tries to bite his head off to no avail.

Face-to-face with this thing, Elias subconsciously took a deep breath as he tries to not make any sound, as he then observes this new terrifying monster in front of him... [ "W-what are you...?!" ]

[ MULTIPLE HEADED RAVEN LVL. 10 ]

A 10ft tall mutated black raven, it having two heads, both trying to eat his head to no avail. As the protective barrier of Elias is there to stop it... If not, then Elias would have been nothing else but a story, one of the many peoples killed by monsters. But as the Ultimate Dweller, that isn't the case.

Holding on for dear life, he almost fell forward and died due to fall damage being on. Thankfully his heart beat accelerated due to getting jump scared, to the point that he is on high alert; him getting away from the window when he finally could.

[ "Hah!" ] Falling on his ass, Elias watches carefully how the bird tries to eat him, no matter how strong or terrifying it is, it doesn't seem to hold a candle to his System-given powers. Which he is eternally grateful for. [ "You scared me... crap." ]

Clutching on his chest, he watches as the bird lose interest on him and instead dive down on the ground as one of the heads sees an abundant amount of food— carcasses of fallen monsters.

Forcing himself to stand, he tries to look down on the new monster, and immediately seeing it chow down on greenskin carcasses and worm bug corpses that he apparently killed without him knowing.

The said bird enjoying the meal, Elias in seeing how big bird swallows a Goblin without gag reflexes... He knew, he knew exactly at that moment that he shouldn't tempt fate and move away from the window, which he did, as he decides to silently lay on his mattress and not look out.

[ "Y-yeah, I'm definitely tired... Nothing like a good sleep could fix." ] He tries then and there to ignore the caw of the bird, as he then let the heavy eyelids of his close. The body of his which is sour slowly relaxing, as he lays there flat, sleeping pass the absurdity which is that of some big ass random bird having a feast outside.

...

[ "I-is that "Thing" finally gone?!" ] Elizabeth hears one of her classmates muttering something to himself, as he watches the outside through window in a worry... Worried also are the other Students inside the classroom, including her then there would be exactly 13 people inside this classroom alone.

All showing visible stress, all showing fear, all not wanting to die as they could only speak in whispers, hush tone, or else they be heard by the monsters outside— the Walking Dead that numbers on thousands.

[ "W-we're all going to di-die...!" ] She could hear one of her lady classmates cry on the corner, which she isn't that close but to be honest, she did completely agree with her; they are all gonna die, one way or another. If not by Zombies, then at some point by one another's hands.

Biting her lip, she became annoyed in how hopeless she is, as she then tried to rest her hand on the wall behind her; as she thinks of a way to escape this hell that they found themselves in— having survived for about a week long if they aren't wrong...

You see, the Undead, beings that are neither alive or dead are actually very slow and easy to be killed. Elizabeth and everyone in the room knows that, they had killed some to survive after all...

No, to them the Zombies aren't the problem... But a certain pesky bird that parks it's ass in here for a randomized time of the day, hunting for Undead and living things alike, killing them in one bite; that said something they labelled as "Thing" due to their disgust of it.

Due to it murdering some of their classmates, including which their class president someone that stepped up and organized everyone to form a group... As a private school and in nearing the end of the school year, only about 2/3rds of the student population was present and inside when the monsters started to appear.

But that is apparently enough for about 150+ students to quickly form a group and fight off against the monsters, some who didn't join went and tried to find their families in the middle of the Apocalypse— hopefully still alive out there.

More so died as the days went, but thanks to divine provinance not that many... The deaths only skyrocketed when that said "Thing" appeared, a multi headed gigantic bird monster that is swift and deadly to them humans to the point that they run on sight of the said bird.

Their population dwindled, deaths started rising, as people started to panic, infighting happened here and there. People ran away with supplies and so-on and so-forth. Now, Elizabeth is one of the only survivors of the school— as they all bunkered up inside a reinforced classroom with plastic chair and desk hybrid as their only protection.

[ "I'm starving, when are they coming back?!" ] She hears her classmates talking, as she then remember the faces of her 4 other classmates that went scavenging the day before; they carrying the makeshift weapons that they have limited amount of.

One of such idiots that went to the expedition was her brother— Arthur, a senior of her's by one-year, and someone that is too idiotic for this cruel world. To her dismay, her older brother went and sneaked off to join in the said scavenging.

For now though, she could only hope that he doesn't die and would return back to her and their little group of starving students... hopefully with vegetables in hand, her favorite. [ "Please... be safe, Arthur." ]

...

[ SNEEZE ]

[ "Is someone talking bad about me or what...?!" ] Arthur P. Adlawan mutters to himself as he tries to think of people that would worry about him, only one name coming out from the top of his head, [ "O-oh yeah, her. Yeah..." ]

The image of his bubble bob dark haired sister appearing on his thoughts, her short stature apparent as he had always seen her as the smaller of them two— which is true. [ "It's not!" ] And now that said thought of her now shares her personality, scolding him...

[ "Damn..." ] That thought of her sister disappearing as he then remembers his scenario, wherein he is stuck on some random apartment building. It being day but no light entering the random room that he entered in, as he hides from green monsters that he had only recently seen.

[ "I'm stuck in this place." ] The scavenged loot of his that varies from technology, food, and weapons laid nearby him. As prize for his insolence, in running away from Goblins and that big bird— the Thing, he got injured, as pools of blood gathered under him covered by cloth.

Their group, though not known to them why, the said mysterious black bird hunted them whenever they least expected it to be... Amongst the group of 4 students, only him— Arthur due to sheer luck did he survive and is nearing death's door.

Yes, as though no matter what he does. The cut which wasn't that deep caused by the multi headed bird caused his abdomen to release blood no matter how much he covers it, blood always comes out. [ "F-fuck, heal already. What the fuck...!?" ]

He glanced at the 3 school bags nearby and could see the supplies in it. Food that could last his group, and especially his sister months until finally, hopefully they get rescued by the lousy Government... But as the seconds pass by, as seconds turns to minutes, his hope for that disappearing as he then silently sobs in the corner.

[ "W-why is this happening to us...!" ] He has been trying to be optimistic since the Undead and other monsters started to appear. When his friends started dying, he tried to be the beacon of light. When people was in need, he helped... And now he is dying with no one to help.

[ "Damn it all to hel-!" ] A bright red light shone above him, rapidly expanding from above, as seconds later it then encompassed his body... This causing his mouth that was on a crusade cursing his luck, to abruptly stop— as his mouth was left open under his confusion.

About to budge himself out of this, he then tried to close his mouth... But no matter how hard he tries, he couldn't close his mouth... As he then panics in realizes the hapless in his situation.

He had witnessed rudimentary equiped greenskins drive a car, he had witnesed his friends turned into Undead, he personally ran away from a 10ft something-something tall gigantic bird and survive. Those he could explain to some extent, but this?

Suddenly not having strength to move his body... That is something else entirely... So what is going on with the world?! He tried to think of other monsters that could possibly be able to do this act, ghost immediately coming into thoughts, though he hadn't seen one as of yet.

Or something-something else entirely that can cause the movement of someone to stop... He was indeed blinded by red lights for a moment before he lost the ability to move— move other than his eyelids and eyeballs, as he repeatedly blinks.

The beads of tears that was streaming down the side of his face pausing, as he then glances from left-to-right, right-to-left as he tries to figure out the absurdity of the situation he is in. Screaming on the inside, telling his body to move.

MOVE, DAMN IT!
