Chapter 26 - Season 1. Chapter 25: Mysticoins

Scene: Currency Reflection – Oliver and the Systematic Guide

The woodland light filtered gently through the high branches as Oliver stood in a quiet clearing, wind brushing against his green hoodie. His stone sword rested lightly in his grip, and a stone dagger was sheathed in his side pocket—just in case. The ground beneath his boots was littered with saplings, crushed leaves, and the aftermath of his earlier battles with the Wooden Imps.

With a flick of his fingers, he pulled up the Systematic Guide, the orange projector menu glowing faintly in front of him like a digital scroll hovering in the air.

Oliver raised a brow as he scrolled through the interface.

Regicoins — created by Princess Amaryllis, now the official currency used in most settlements, especially in social zones.

He recalled when Lyra used Regicoins to buy snacks and new boots from a merchant tent—practical stuff, but limited to town-registered Travelers.

Mysticoins were different.

They were rarer, older, and only granted directly by the Systematic Center itself. Travelers who roamed the world like Oliver relied on these more often. They were the hidden coin of wanderers.

A tiny info tab expanded next to a faintly glowing item icon:

🗡️ [Enchanted Iron Sword – LOCKED]

> Requirement: 55 Mysticoins

Rank: Blue+

Effect: +5 Strength, +10 Durability, Light Spark Enchant

Oliver narrowed his eyes.

> "I've got 39 mysticoins already... not too far off."

He closed the menu slowly, letting the projector dissolve into pixels. His fingers tightened slightly around the stone sword.

> "Just a few more fights... a few more drops."

The forest around him whispered with breeze and distant rustles. There was still much to do—demons to dodge, materials to gather, and currency to climb.

And eventually...

better weapons to wield.

Scene: Oliver and the Systematic Shop Center – First Glance at the World's Economy

The flickering orange glow of the Systematic Guide lit up again in front of Oliver as he leaned against the bark of a tree, his fingers swiping through the holographic interface. The wind swirled around him in the clearing, fluttering his brown hair as the forest rustled with quiet life.

He opened the [Shop Center: Mysticoins Branch], his current balance glowing at the top of the screen:

---

🪙 Mysticoins Bank: 20

(— converted from recent monster hunting and point exchange —)

---

He scrolled through the entries, eyes widening slightly at the economy laid out before him.

Oliver let out a low exhale through his teeth.

> "A mansion is sixty thousand? Who's buying that, royalty?" he muttered.

His eyes moved back to the Golden Sword (Weak) — a shining yet unimpressive item marked as an early-game cosmetic and utility blade. Not much stronger than stone, but at least it looked cool and wouldn't break as easily.

> "Do I spend it now… or save up?"

The temptation of potions—quick utility in battle—and the saddle, in case he found a rideable creature, made him consider. But deep down, he knew:

> "It's a long road. If I start wasting coins now, I'll never see that mansion."

He backed out of the shop tab, letting the prices linger in his mind. The world was expensive, the Systematic center was vast, and he was only just beginning.

But now, at least, he understood the economy.

And soon...

He would start climbing it.

Scene: Systematic Guidance – Evening Progress

As the orange hues of Lux, the world's star, began to dip behind the distant horizon, the Systematic Guide projected gently in front of Oliver, flickering with new options as he stepped through the increasingly wild terrain.

It was 6:00 PM, and the trees cast longer shadows now, stretching like fingers across the dirt path. Three hours had passed since his earlier battles and exploration, and Oliver had grown more comfortable swiping through the interface as if it were second nature.

Now, in front of him, lay a red-painted wooden bridge stretching over a small ravine, with clear gushing water smashing softly against the smooth stones below. Moss clung to the stone supports, and the bridge creaked slightly under his cautious step.

This wasn't marked on his digital map—an unregistered old-world feature, likely predating the current Systematic age.

Oliver paused at the edge, one hand on the stone sword, the other holding the guide projector. The ravine itself was not too wide, but deep enough to mark a shift in region. Beyond it, the trees looked denser, the leaves darker, and the air almost hummed with a strange, sleepy stillness.

He tapped the Investigation tab.

> [Analyzing Area…]

"Unmapped terrain."

"Flora indicates lesser interference from society."

"Chances of demon presence: Low to Moderate."

"Systematic trail ends here… manual charting recommended."

Oliver exhaled, took one step onto the bridge. It creaked.

Then another. Beneath him, the ravine whispered on.

As Lux dipped lower in the sky, and with no turning back, Oliver crossed into a wilder chapter of his journey.

> His path forward was his alone now.

Just a stone sword, a Systematic guide, and the unknown.
