Chapter 9 - New Stock!

Gan knew he wasn't going to be able to sleep after receiving these abilities. He changed his mind and decided to wait until tomorrow to awaken these powers.

It took him an hour to fall asleep for obvious reasons, but once he was out, he was out. Naturally, the next day arrived without a hitch, but he remained fast asleep.

His mom had been knocking on his door and calling out to him. However, Gan was knocked out and didn't reply. By the time he awakened, it was already 1:00 PM.

"Time sure does pass fast, huh?" Gan stretched before sitting up.

12 Pack Of Purified Water: 200 Points / Stock 0 / 300(Sold Out!)|

The first thing he checked was his marketplace to see if anything else had sold. The only item that sold was the water packs, but this netted him an extra 30,000 points.

"I have 125,285 points, I'm just that much closer to my goal." Gan smiled. This was a good start.

[Congratulations, your store has leveled up to level 2!]

"Nice! The store is at level 2 now, so I should receive more space to sell items." Gan was confused as to why there was no one selling these things, such as food and even water.

Considering that, he chose to explore a few chat group shops. While some individuals were offering water, the costs of their food and even water were just excessively high!

No wonder the review praised him for selling water at such a good price. Gan was even confused as to why he had so many dislikes on that review, that particular review.

'These people are taking advantage of the apocalypse travelers.' Gan had even read reviews on those overpriced markets, and they weren't good.

The salemans would tell them to f**k off if they weren't buying. When they left a negative review, he would rage at them, calling them a bunch of poor bastards who should die already.

Gan took an hour and a half to restock and load his shop with new supplies. After reloading the water, if he could sell all 1,000 cases, he could make 200,000 points.

This wasn't the only thing; Gan could now load up to 25 items onto his shop.

-12 Pack Of Cigarettes: 1,000 Points / Stock 300| Lighter: 500 Points / 100| Automatic Reload Crossbow: 2,000 Points / 100| Matchbox Of 32: 500 Points / 500| Crate Of AR-15 Rifle Bullets(1,200 Bullets): 5,000 Points / Stock 10|

Gan got some of this idea from other stores, but their prices were higher than his. Yes, he decided to compete with these people. Besides, he wasn't paying any real-life currency for any of these items.

Gan wanted to create more things, but his mom was calling out to him. She even decided to call his phone since he wasn't answering the door.

"Hehe, hello." Gan came to the door with a crooked smile and said.

"What the heck are you doing down there? Were you asleep this whole time, and why are you smiling like that? If you keep smiling creepily like that, you'll never get a girlfriend."

"... ..." Gan didn't know how to respond to this number of questions.

"You've been in your room all morning; you need to get ready. We're going to your grandparents' house. Grab some clothes and other things you might need. I've already enrolled you in Midtown High, you'll start school on Monday."

Irelia wanted to laugh; had her son become some homebody? He stayed in his room all day and rarely came out, not even to eat!

"Okay, I'll be ready within an hour." Irelia narrowed her eyes at Gan before nodding and turning to leave.

"Mom, oh, mom. She's something else, she actually believes I'm becoming some homebody." This was completely the opposite of what he wanted to become.

Gan quickly hopped in the shower afterward, and it didn't take him long to clean up. Afterward, he moisturized himself with his powers because he didn't have lotion.

Gan was fully dressed by this point, with boxes filled with clothes, shoes, and underwear.

"While I have the time, I should absorb this energy, this new power." Gan ran over the abilities he would acquire from the Sentry and Void's power.

"My gosh, there are so many, but this Invulnerability trait is simply the best." He possessed supreme senses, a healing factor, and an extremely high level of strength, durability, and stamina.

This list went on and on about what he could gain from these orbs. The Void had some really amazing abilities as well.

Gan didn't have to worry about being mentally unstable, even if this was, for some reason, the con to these powers; his powers could filter out these flaws.

'Absorb!' Suddenly, Gan's genetic make-up began to undergo an earthshattering change.

His cellular structure became denser, and his ability to heal became immediate. Abundant and intense energy began to flow throughout his body. Gan's vision, hearing, and other senses were significantly enhanced all at once.

A thick yellow energy started to flow around his body, soon accompanied by a dark red-black energy, all of which seemed ready to explode.

"SHIT!!" Gan couldn't stop what was coming next; he quickly warped out of his bedroom. This wasn't like the reality stone, time stone, or mind stone. Energy suddenly began to flood his body swiftly, and it had to be dispersed and controlled.

In the next moment, Gan appeared in the Sahara Desert. The Earth shook as a massive explosion occurred. This explosion displayed a brilliant flash of light in the form of a cone, leveling the earth and turning some part of the sand into glass!

Shockwaves travel several miles at a time. This energy signature was naturally picked up by the Avengers and even the Fantastic Four. Though they couldn't detect Gan himself, this horrifying signature didn't go unnoticed.

------

[Detecting an unknown energy signature at the following coordinates: 23.4162° N, 25.6628° E.]

"What's going on? Whatever it is, it doesn't look good." Captain America saw the screen blinking red and signalling an alarm.

"It's Jarvis, he's detecting a strong energy signature. It appeared to be located..." The screen displayed the location, which was the continent.

" North Africa, the Sahara Desert. The explosive radius is large, it covers miles, and it's shaking up the side of the world."

Tony could see the radius was massive; the radius covered 3 miles!

"My gosh, is it a nuke or something? I know there's still some conflicts in Africa, but this radius is equivalent to a mini-nuke, right?" Hawk Eye had just come in when he saw the screen and heard some of Tony's explanation.

"This blast radius is slightly stronger than a mini-nuke, but the blast isn't giving off radiation. This is pure energy, but it's coming from a small source."

"Small Source! What's that supposed to mean?" Hawk Eye was eating a sub-sandwich while asking.

"To be exact, it's a human-sized source. This isn't a bomb that's causing this; it's a humanoid figure. At least, according to the satellites, but for some strange reason, I can't zoom in on the figure."

Tony couldn't see the figure's face at all, but he could see the shadowy silhouette.

"I vouch that we go check out this energy being and question him. Whose with me?" Thor was playing cards with the Hulk recently, until they were disturbed by the alarm.

"Already on it! Let's go!" Tony's suit flew out from some unknown chamber in the wall and attached itself to him in seconds.

Hawk Eye, the Hulk, Iron Man, and Black Widow got into a special jet and followed. Their speed was shockingly fast, as they sped toward the Sahara Desert.

Iron's suit wasn't even this fast, but Thor was able to keep up with the jet. No, one could say that he was even faster than that!

Within five minutes, they appeared within the designated coordinates.

"Good lord, that has the be the biggest pothole I've ever seen. I would imagine that this would be New York's Streets if they didn't get fixed every month." Hawk Eye said jokingly.

Hawk Eye was driving the jet and was the first to see a massive crater. It was as far as the eye could see in diameter.

"This is a disaster; it would be bad if anyone felt down there. We need to fill this crater back in with sand." Black Widow addressed her concern.

"No problem! Moving a dune of sand to cover this hole isn't a big deal." By this point, the ship had landed, as Thor didn't think it was a big deal.

"Jarvis, give a reading on the depth of this hole. Do you detect anyone down there, or in the area?"

[Scanning!]

[This crater's depth is estimated to be just around a mile and a half deep. There are no life forms in the area within ten miles.]

Thor flew down into the crater without warning and found nothing.

"By the gods, the crater is as empty as my stomach." Five minutes later, Thor ascended from the hole and found nothing.

"I could have told you that before you entered. It's time to fill this hole first, then we can try and figure out who or what caused this."

"There may not be anyone present, but there are spatial traces here. I can't detect where the person went, but the person appears to have the ability to control space."

Thor sensed these spatial fluctuations, it was somewhat similar to how he went back and forth between Earth and Asgard.

"It is likely that this person knew we were coming and ran away." Black Widow surmised.

They usually didn't care about such things, but this energy signature was really too powerful. This was the same before the sentry completely fused with the Void, as he was twisting and distorting reality too much to be ignored.

"Great! A guy who can teleport and hide himself. How do we catch that?" Hawk Eyes shook his head.

"Once we fill this crater, then we can figure that out. I'll go back and grab a few things that'll help us."

"No need, Stark. For the God of Thunder, this job is but a simple task!" Thor took to the sky while twirling his Hammer.

Thor could easily manipulate sand.

--------

At this time, Gan was in his room. His clothes were still intact after the outburst of energy. Strangely enough, his height had increased by five inches; something he had to adjust back to his initial height.

'Why would my height increase? This didn't happen to the Sentry or his sidekick.' Gan didn't bother thinking about it long; he was more concerned about his new powers.

Even if he were hit with a bullet, it wouldn't penetrate his skin. He could also use X-ray vision to see everything in the house. His hearing had also increased, as he could hear the conversations going on in the living room from here.

In fact, Gan could hear everything on earth, but he quickly learned to filter that noise out.

"The Avengers responded fast, but why would they come investigate something like that? Usually, they minded their own business in Newyork."

Gan shrugged before picking up his safe and storing it in a separate space.

"There are a few abilities I wish to add to my cousins later before I awaken them." Afterward, Gan went upstairs with a suit of clothes and an extra pair of shoes.

He prepared a sandwich and poured himself a glass of cold lemonade before departing the house with his parents. They were joined by their cousins and uncle for the trip to their grandparents' home.

Bayville was about a 40-45 minute drive from Queens.

Both cars pulled into the driveway where his grandmother was sitting on the porch. She wasn't the only one sitting on the porch, as a girl could be seen with her, talking.

Indeed, this was Gan's youngest sibling, his sister Grace.

Once they pulled into the driveway, both Garen and Grace ran toward the cars.

Garen was a brown-skinned youth with brown eyes and short black hair. He stood around 171 centimeters. Grace had the same complexion and eye color as Garen, but her hair was much longer than his.

However, Grace's stature was much less than that of Garen. She stood at exactly 156 centimeters.

"You guys finally arrived? Oh, my gosh, you've... Gianna and Gloria!" Grace looked into the car, gazing at Galen before looking into the backseats.

However, she didn't manage to see Gan because he was purposely ducking. However, when she looked over, she saw Gloria and Gianna exiting the car that pulled up behind their rental.

"It's been forever since I've seen you guys!" Grace quickly went over to hug both of them.

"You've gotten even prettier over the years, oh, my gosh!" Gianna looked at Grace up and down and exclaimed.

"It's the skincare my mom bought me, it's really good! Hmm, where's Gan? Did he stay home or something?|

"Gan is back there, he's just messing with you guys," Irelia exited the car after Garen, followed by Gan.

"What the heck! Why are you trying to hide from us? I'm surprised I didn't see your big head sticking out."

Grace laughed playfully and said.

"I know you aren't talking about head shapes, you don't want to go there."

"Yoink!" Gan grabbed her head before yoinking it.

"Don't yoink my head! Mom, Gan is already yoinking my head!"

"Gan, don't yoink your sister's head, it's delicate, soft, and should be handled with care." Irelia smiled as she approached the porch where her mother-in-law could be seen.

"What? Handled with care? Her head is as hard as titanium. What care can we give?" Galen chimed in and laughed before slapping the back of her neck.

"Ahh! Galen, stop!" Grace grabbed her neck before trying to hit Galen's arm. However, he quickly side-stepped her strike and hugged her.

"Calm down, little sis, it'll be alright. Sometimes, you have to take one for the team." Galen patted her and said with love.

"Eww, gross. Get away." Grace pushed him away before walking away, rubbing the back of her neck.

"What's up, little brother? We haven't seen each other for 2 days. You guys are really good at skipping out on the hard work." Galen wrapped his arm around Garen and said with a smile.

"Yeah, it's 2 days too soon if you ask me. Besides, we had to accompany our grandparents, whom we hadn't seen in years." Garen scoffed as both of them walked into the house.

Gan had already left for the house after slapping his sister's neck.

"Oh, my gosh, look at my other grandbabies, they've grown so much!" Gan's grandma came over and, without warning, grabbed him into a hug.

He used to live with these grandparents for a few years. His grandparents often spoke out about having so many kids without being financially stable.

"It's nice to see you, Grandma and Grandpa." Gan hugged her back with a smile.

"You guys are getting big, especially you, Galen! Good lord, you're big enough to make a difference on your high school basketball team."

His Grandfather came over and was stunned at how big Galen had grown. It had been many years since they had last seen them. Their grandfather was a fairly tall man, standing at 6'2, while their grandma was 5'10 in height.

As for Gianna, Galan, Galadan, Gloria, and Giovanni, they lived in New York, so they saw them often.

"Today is the day I do what needs to be done. I will awaken my cousins today." Gan smiled and turned to talk to his grandparents.
