Nina glanced at him, then back at the statue looming before them.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
She said. Her tone was steady, but her thoughts were racing.
She raised a hand and pointed at the statue.
"But doesn't that look like someone we know? From our world?"
Hwan looked where she pointed. His brow furrowed in thought as he studied the serene face of the goddess.
"I don't think so. It doesn't ring a bell for me."
He finally said, shaking his head.
That answer made something inside Nina deflate a little. She bit her lip and turned inward.
'Am I imagining things?'
[You're not wrong to question it.]
Her Patron murmured, but then fell silent. His presence dimmed just enough to make Nina wonder if he was holding something back.
She frowned.
"Are you not telling me something?"
She asked under her breath.
There was no response.
That silence made her feel, for the first time since entering the dungeon, genuinely unsure of herself.
