Chapter 69 - Whispers of the Black Wind

Even though panic surged within her, Han Yue's face remained calm and composed. She stood firm, facing Su Yang without flinching.

"Fairy Han Yue… it seems you've realized your situation," Su Yang said with a mocking smile, though the obsession in his eyes could no longer be concealed. "It's not too late. As long as you submit, become mine, and bear me a child, everything will be fine. You'll not only gain a powerful husband but also the full support of my Immortal Su Family."

His words oozed arrogance and delusion.

Han Yue's voice was cold, like a blade cutting through the air. "You're dreaming in broad daylight, you shameless demon. I would rather die and return to the heavens and earth than submit to someone like you."

Su Yang's smile faded slightly, replaced with a flash of irritation. Yet, he chuckled, as if amused by her resistance. "It seems the fairy still doesn't understand her position."

From his storage ring, he retrieved another glass pouch. This one wasn't filled with saint ashes like before—but a strange mixture of swirling black and white smoke. With a low laugh, he hurled it into the air while simultaneously forming a complex hand seal.

A massive projection burst forth behind him—a colossal tiger's head, pure white and filled with terrifying ferocity. It roared.

"White Tiger's Roar!"

The very air trembled. A sonic wave erupted from the tiger's maw, blasting outward with devastating force. Trees were uprooted, the jungle shattered within miles, and even distant beasts howled in terror and fled. The glass pouch exploded mid-air, releasing the strange black and white smoke into the surroundings.

Hidden in the foliage nearby, Su Chen watched with narrowed eyes. "One of the Twelve Evil Techniques... the White Tiger Treasure Technique." He murmured. His gaze shifted toward Han Yue.

She was mobilizing the moon behind her to counter the roar, but her vision almost shattered.

Moonlight gathered around her as she attempted to counter the oncoming blast. But even she wasn't unscathed.

Her breath came in short gasps. Her robes had been partially torn by the shockwave, revealing glimpses of flawless snow-white skin that shimmered faintly like pink lotus petals. The strange smoke from the shattered pouch had already begun to spread.

Her expression shifted the moment she recognized it.

"Yin-Yang Mist…" she whispered, her face paling.

This was no ordinary smoke. It was a rare and dangerous substance known to come from the infamous Yin-Yang Holy Land—used only in their most taboo dual cultivation techniques. Even a trace of it was enough to stir deep, primal urges. Anyone—man or woman—who inhaled it would fall into a frenzied state of desire, losing rationality and control.

And the amount Su Yang had released was far from small.

If she inhaled any more… she would become a lust-driven person for a period of time, completely losing control—worse than a prostitute.

Only one thought filled her mind:

Escape.

Swish—

Han Yue hurriedly took out a bell from her storage ring. Without hesitation, she punched her own chest, spitting out a mouthful of red blood tinged with silver. The bell trembled as it absorbed her blood essence. Without wasting a moment, she threw the bell toward the direction where the Yin-Yang mist was densest—and where Su Yang stood.

Tang—!

Even though the true power of the bell was suppressed by the Immortal Palace's seal, it was still enough to buy her a few precious moments.

Swish!

She turned and fled in the opposite direction at full speed.

Boom!

At the same moment, Su Yang sacrificed his personal sword—crafted from supreme-grade materials—and hurled it forward with all his might.

The bell and the sword collided mid-air, releasing a violent shockwave that rippled through the surroundings like a thunderclap.

Far ahead, Han Yue was already flying away with all her strength—but—

Boom!

She slammed into an invisible wall and was thrown back violently, crashing onto the ground.

"Hehehe… Fairy Han Yue," Su Yang's voice echoed as he slowly walked forward, amusement laced with madness. "Did you really think I wasn't prepared? Before I released the Yin-Yang Gas, I already sealed off this entire area with a formation."

He laughed, eyes blazing with desire and triumph, gazing at Han Yue like a predator who had finally cornered his prey.

Han Yue lay on the ground, her body trembling slightly. Her breathing was uneven, and her face was filled with despair. She had inhaled some of the Yin-Yang Gas… it was already starting to affect her.

Su Yang was ecstatic. He had finally captured one of the most beautiful women in the cultivation world—and her extraordinary luck would surely bring him even more fortune.

But then—

A cold, ancient voice echoed through the air.

"Eternal Immortal Wind."

Su Yang froze.

The arrogance on his face twitched.

Boom—!

An unnatural stillness swept over the forest.

Then came a low, dragging hiss, like the exhale of a slumbering god.

Ssssssss…

Black wind—dense, cold, and terrifying—began to rise from the ground itself. It wasn't just devouring light or sound… it was devouring every thing.

Everything the black wind touched—grass, leaves, air, even spiritual energy—began to disappear, not crumble or rot, but vanish as if it had never existed.

It spread in all directions like a living tide of annihilation. Within moments, it had engulfed a radius of ten miles, then twenty.

Even the Yin-Yang Mist, which had once corrupted the atmosphere with its aphrodisiac properties, began to dissolve, hissing into nothingness as the Eternal Immortal Wind passed through it.

But strangest of all—it didn't touch Han Yue.

A wisp of the black wind curled around her lying form… and simply passed by.

She didn't even feel cold.

It avoided her.

Su Yang's pupils shrank as the wind came for him. The bell and sword he had used earlier—still clashing mid-air—were caught in the outer rim of the storm. But instead of disintegrating, they lost all power, like puppets with cut strings, falling to the ground lifelessly before being carried away by the black wind like scraps in a divine storm.

"What the hell is this…?" Su Yang muttered, backing away, heart racing.

Then he yelled into his mind, "System! SYSTEM! What is this black wind? Who's controlling it?!"

There was silence.

And then—

[Ding—Warning! Host must retreat immediately!]

[This is the Eternal Immortal Wind. It shouldn't appear within the Immortal Palace, let alone be manipulated.]

[It is a primordial force. Not even Emperors can control it. But… someone is controlling it.]

[Conclusion: We are completely fucked. Run.]

Su Yang felt his mind go blank. His all-powerful Destiny Villain System, which had guided him through countless life-and-death encounters, was now ordering him to run.

Before he could process the full meaning—

CLANG!!

A blinding flash of sword light shot through the wind.

Su Yang tried to dodge, but it was too fast.

The sword light struck his right arm—and instantly, it vanished.

Not severed. Not bleeding.

Gone.

His arm had simply ceased to exist.

"AAAHHHHHH!!" Su Yang roared in agony. Panic drowned his usual pride. "Who?! WHO DID THIS?! I'LL KILL YOU!!"

His voice cracked in desperation.

The black wind around him began swirling faster, making escape even harder. He quickly activated a teleportation formation beneath his feet—but the air itself resisted the array's activation.

He turned and fled in the opposite direction on foot, blood trailing behind him.

Swish—!

Another sword light tore through the wind.

Su Yang saw it coming—he twisted mid-air to avoid it—but it still caught the side of his left foot.

Just a graze—

Yet his foot vanished into nothingness.

"AAAHHHH! FUUUCK!"

He limped and staggered forward, eyes wide with terror. For the first time, the young master of the Su Family—once proud, and untouchable—was reduced to a desperate fugitive, fleeing like a wounded animal.

All around him, the world was being devoured.

And behind him, from within the Eternal Immortal Wind… someone watched.
