"Caught it, huh..."
Razor slowly straightened up, his narrow eyes still fixed on Tyranitar, but the smile had completely vanished from his face.
They say those with narrow eyes are monsters and in this case, it seemed true—Razor strength was more than deserving of the title.
Unfortunately, he had encountered Tyranitar, a Pokemon even more monstrous than a monster.
Before Tyranitar, no matter how fierce the attack, it seemed like it could be effortlessly caught.
Though he had anticipated this outcome, seeing it unfold before his eyes still left Razor stunned.
His already grave expression darkened further, his lips curling slightly downward as he felt a pang of exhaustion.
Had his all-out attack truly achieved nothing?
The gap between them was as vast as the difference between a lion and ant.
Facing such an opponent, anyone would feel powerless, wouldn't they?
"Now, it's my turn." Akira tone was calm.
He was ready to bring this match to the conclusion everyone already knew was coming.
"ROAR!"
Tyranitar stomped the ground, instantly creating spiderweb-like cracks as a crater formed beneath its feet.
Gripping the dodgeball in one hand, a layer of deep, inky-black Psychic Energy suddenly enveloped its thick arm.
Just looking at it gave off an unsettling feeling—this black Aura was saturated with countless malevolent energies.
Like a tide, the pitch-black Aura swiftly engulfed the dodgeball, the commotion even greater than Razor earlier display.
In the blink of an eye, a massive black Aura bullet rested in Tyranitar grasp.
Tyranitar slowly raised its right hand, the enormous Aura bullet rotating gently in its palm.
The sheer size of the Aura bullet even blocked out some of the stadium lights, casting a noticeable shadow over the gym.
For a moment, everyone held their breath, their eyes locked onto the Aura bullet faces pale with alarm.
If this thing were unleashed, forget the gym—even the lighthouse outside would be obliterated!
Dwun and List, watching anxiously from the TV, began to panic.
Wasn't that guy supposed to be a friend?
Why was he going for the kill?
They really shouldn't have listened to that bastard Ging—for all they knew, Ging might actually be this guy sworn enemy.
And so, with countless hearts pounding in suspense, Tyranitar moved again.
Leaning back slightly, Tyranitar raised its right arm, the Aura-wrapped dodgeball poised for a throw.
***
"Sigh."
"I surrender."
Before Tyranitar could even hurl the Aura bullet, Razor voice rang out from the opposite side.
His tone trembled slightly, but there was also a note of relief.
Against an opponent like Tyranitar, surrender was no disgrace.
With Razor surrender, the massive Aura bullet in Tyranitar hand instantly dissipated, leaving only the dodgeball to drop to the ground.
Razor surrender not only secured Akira victory but also earned them a share of experience points.
Since Tyranitar was the only one who had acted, all the experience went to it.
"You're strong."
"Far stronger than the strongest person I've ever known."
A flicker of nostalgia passed through Razor narrowed eyes as he recalled the time Ging had beaten him into submission.
After all these years, this was the second person to make him yield.
Facing Akira alone felt like facing several Gin at once.
"Ging strength is indeed impressive."
Akira raised an eyebrow, directly naming the person Razor was reminiscing about.
"Hmm?"
"You know Ging?"
Razor hadn't expected Akira to guess who he was referring to from just that casual remark.
"Yes, before entering Greed Island, I even explored some ruins with him."
"He's the one who gave me this Greed Island game console too."
Akira shared his previous encounters with Ging, making Razor - who already admired Akira - feel an even greater sense of familiarity.
So they were all friends?
"Akira! Did you just mention Ging?"
"You met with Ging?"
Gon, who had been listening nearby, was startled by their conversation and immediately asked.
"Yes. Actually, Kurapika knew about Ging inviting me. Hasn't he told you yet?"
Akira nodded, assuming Kurapika would have already mentioned it to them.
"What kind of person is Ging?"
Gon eyes sparkled as he eagerly sought to understand what the father he'd been searching for was really like.
"Ging..."
"He's quite an unreliable guy."
Recalling his experiences with Ging, Akira vividly remembered how he'd randomly pull out fruits at odd moments.
Just as Gon looked confused, Akira added.
"But he's actually dependable when it matters."
This left Gon even more bewildered. Was this supposed to be praise?
"Unreliable normally but dependable when it counts?"
"Your assessment is spot on. That's exactly what Ging is like."
As he spoke, a faint smile unconsciously appeared on Razor face, as if recalling those shared moments.

Meanwhile, in the digital world...
"You sure you don't want to go see him? Your son's right there."
Ickshonpe teasing voice echoed through the blank digital space, directed at Ging who sat beside him.
"No need. My son will come to me step by step. We just need to wait patiently for that day."
Dressed in dark blue robes, Ging sat cross-legged on the ground, watching Gon and the others on screen with confidence.
Though he trusted Akira, he'd still sought out Old P to observe the situation through the digital world.
He wanted to see how much Gon had grown.
Judging by Gon rapid progress, they might meet sooner than expected?
No no, better let him develop a while longer.
"By 'wait patiently,' you mean changing the Accompany target to Kite?"
Having been friends for so long, Ickshonpe knew Ging true nature well and didn't hesitate to mock him.
This guy was the type who acted familiar with strangers but got shy around his own son.
Easy to befriend, but hard to become truly close to.
The more he cared about someone, the harder Ging found it to express his feelings, always choosing to avoid it instead.
"Ahem!"
Ging coughed awkwardly, trying to brush it off.
"Don't think I don't know - I helped create Greed Island."
When Gon was still a baby, Ging had brought him to Greed Island in swaddling clothes.
That's why Gon contact list contained Ging alias ["Nig"].
In the end, Gon and the others painstakingly devised an elaborate scheme to bring out the Accompany card.
All because he wanted to meet Ging together with his best friend Killua. As it turned out, Ging shyness got the better of him.
Originally, the settings were such that using [Magnetic Force] would send one straight to Ging side.
But if [Accompany] was used, it would lead to Ging's apprentice, Kite.
Ging glanced at the screen where Gon was asking question about him, then at Killua standing beside the boy and a satisfied smile crept onto his face.
Those two would definitely end up going to Kite instead.
Meeting Gon and the others could wait a little longer.
To be a father to this extent, Ging was truly one of a kind—utterly unique.
Treating his own son like some kind of terrifying monster, going out of his way to avoid him at all costs.
One moment, Ging was cheerfully watching the group converse.
The next, his expression darkened like a sudden storm, as unpredictable as a summer afternoon.
"If you want to see Ging, I can help you~"
"I can let you see him right now!"
"Right here!"
Akira suddenly spoke in an eerie, unpredictable tone, as if tempting Gon to make a choice.
Just moments ago, Porygon-Z had relayed a piece of information to him.
Right now, Ging and Ickshonpe were in the digital world, watching through the corner surveillance camera.
In other words, if Akira had Porygon-Z open the gateway between the two worlds right now, Ging and Gon would come face to face!
Wasn't that far more interesting than any game of dodgeball?
"You can really let me see Ging right now?"
Faced with Akira temptation, Gon was indeed tempted, murmuring softly to himself.
"Absolutely!"
"Ging is right here."
Halfway through his words, Akira turned his gaze toward the surveillance camera, a playful smirk on his face.
"Ging, you're watching this, aren't you?"
"Don't bother trying to deny it—I know you're with Ickshonpe."
"So? How about putting on a heartwarming father-son reunion for everyone?"
"Let Gon finally meet the father he's been longing to see?"
Ging was watching them?
Following Akira line of sight, Gon and the others all turned their attention to the surveillance camera.
'What kind of person is Gon' father…?'
Killua wondered silently, thinking that today might finally reveal the truth about Gon father.
"That bastard! How the hell does Akira know I'm here?"
Ging tugged at the scarf around his neck venting his frustration before suddenly realizing something and growing curious.
"Was it you, Old P? Did you tell him?"
After a moment of thought, Ging pinned the "culprit" on Ickshonpe.
"Not me. It must've been Akira Nen beast."
"Akira has a strange-looking Nen beast that's even better at manipulating data than I am. It can freely travel between reality and the digital world."
Ickshonpe had no intention of taking the blame and quickly explained.
"He actually has a Nen beast with such an unusual ability?"
Ging couldn't help but exclaim, his eyes narrowing as he stared intently at Akira.
Not only had he never heard of a Nen beast with such a power—he'd never even heard of a person capable of it.
Akira always managed to pull off things that left him utterly stunned.
"Wait a second—"
"You're saying it can freely move between reality and the digital world?"
Ging face tensed as he pressed for answers.
"Right. His Nen beast can open a gateway between the two worlds, allowing people and objects to pass through."
With Ickshonpe confirmation, Ging unease grew stronger.
If what Old P said was true…
If Akira opened that gateway right now, wouldn't that mean Ging would appear right in front of Gon?
"Old P, get me out of here!"
"I don't want to stay here anymore."
Ging scratched his head and hurriedly urged Ickshonpe—coming here today had clearly been a mistake.
But Ickshonpe remained unmoved, eager to see the show unfold.
That bastard Ging had it coming.
Just as Ging was growing frantic, the situation on the field took another turn.
"Thank you, Akira."
"But no thanks, I want to meet Ging through my own abilities."
Akira offer was tempting, yet Gon ultimately shook his head in refusal.
This made a certain deadbeat father secretly heave a sigh of relief.
Only with Gon would Ging ever show such an expression.
Even when facing the terrifying aura of Brions, Ging remained unfazed, itching to test his skills against them.
Akira strongly suspected that if given the choice, Ging would rather encounter a "Threats" than meet Gon.
"If that's how it is, then forget it."
Akira waved his hand dismissively and recalled the Pokemon he had summoned earlier.
This time, he had only come at Biscuit invitation to help them clear this challenge.
Now that his task was done, he could leave with Menchi.
Thanks to Akira tremendous assistance, Gon and his friends successfully overcame the "Razor and the Fourteen Devils" challenge and obtained the unprecedented SS-rank card, [Plot of Beach].
Next, Gon group would have to face the looming threat of the Bomber and his gang.
Even though the wealthy Battera had withdrawn the bounty on Greed Island, eliminating the 500 billion Jenny reward, the Bomber and his crew still refused to give up—they wanted the privilege of selecting their own reward cards upon clearing the game!
These cards might mean little to Akira, but to them, they were invaluable.
The Bomber strength was mediocre at best, hardly worth Akira attention.
In the end, events unfolded roughly as they did in the original story.
Gon group was the first to collect all the designated cards and after a quiz battle, they successfully obtained Card No. 0 [Ruler's Blessing].
Thus, the Greed Island game, which had witnessed countless struggles since its release, finally saw its first clear!
Countless players were left with mixed emotions—
some relieved, others resentful.
But in the end, they could only accept reality.
***
Somewhere in the waters between the Six Continents and the Dark Continent, this region resembled the New World of the One Piece universe, plagued by extreme and unpredictable weather.
One moment, the skies were clear and boundless, the next, they were shrouded in dark clouds.
The pitch-black depths of the ocean seemed to conceal endless dangers, evoking primal fear in anyone who witnessed it.
A creature resembling an ant in appearance but far surpassing ordinary ants in size—roughly humanoid—lay unconscious.
It was severely injured, though not fatally so, given time and sustenance, it would recover.
Unconsciously, it drifted toward a certain location on the Six Continents.
Whether by chance or someone's design, a Chimera Ant, classified as a B-level threat, was about to arrive on the Six Continents.
And it would land in the most ideal breeding ground—the NGL Autonomous Region.

"Huh? Old man, you want me to come over?"
"What's this about?"
A few days after leaving Greed Island, Akira received a call from Chairman Netero.
The Chairman asked him to visit the Hunter Association in a couple of days, claiming there was "good news" for him.
No—Actually, he wanted both Akira and Menchi to come.
What kind of good news could it be?
Why all the secrecy?
After hanging up, Akira didn't set off immediately.
If he followed the schedule, he'd have to leave now and take an airship to reach the Hunter Association in time.
But after his time in Greed Island, he now had Porygon-Z, an incredibly versatile Pokemon.
All it took was for Porygon-Z to open a passage and Akira and Menchi could arrive at the Hunter Association in an extremely short time.
It could be called an essential ability for traveling.
In the future, when Porygon-Z power reaches a certain level, it would be even better if it could transition from utilizing networks to creating them.
One minute you could be exploring the Dark Continent and the next minute dining at Gourmet Paradise.
The convenience of this ability goes without saying.
However, it seems there's still a long way to go before reaching that imagined level.
