Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: Everything Returns To Ashes

Jingling Court, high up in the sky.

A huge stone ball suddenly appeared, still pulling in everything from the ground below.

As the stone ball grew bigger, its gravity became stronger, even lifting floor tiles right off the ground.

"Hehe..."

The walls and buildings around it started to crack and break apart.

Countless black cracks spread everywhere, as if the heavy gravity was tearing them apart.

"Ahhh!"

A Shinigami screamed, clutching tightly to his friends in fear.

"Hurry, hold on to me! I feel like I'm going to be pulled up by the gravity!"

His friends were just as scared.

"Don't grab me! I feel like I'm flying up too! I have to use my spiritual power to hold myself down! We need to get out of here quickly."

Other Shinigami were feeling the same.

Those with stronger spiritual power used it to keep themselves grounded.

But weaker ones were almost pulled into the sky.

"That black ball—is it the cause?!"

Kyoraku Shunsui and the others looked up at the sky seriously.

At first, they hadn't paid attention to it, but now it had grown so fast and dangerous.

"Let's get out of here. We can't let those two monsters get involved."

Kyoraku Shunsui and Jūshirō Ukitake began to retreat.

Aizen Sōsuke watched the black sphere in the sky carefully, his eyes sharp.

Then he looked at Nanaya fighting below.

"I never thought this guy would get so interesting," he muttered.

After all the Shinigami left the area, the Planetary Devastation finally showed its full power.

Gravity exploded outward with terrifying force.

"Boom!"

The earth was ripped apart, huge chunks of dirt pulled into the sky.

Rocks hidden underground were dragged up as well.

Walls, houses, and buildings nearby instantly collapsed.

The massive amount of matter floated in the air like petals blown by the wind, swirling around the giant stone ball.

The gravity grew even stronger.

As it increased, Unohana Retsu, still fighting, suddenly changed her expression.

The ground beneath her feet started to lift off the ground.

"What is this? Bakudō?" she asked, gripping her blade tightly, eyeing the giant Planetary Devastation—now over a hundred meters wide—and still growing.

"Sister Hua, calm down first!"

Qiye smiled slightly as he focused the gravity on his blade.

"Abu!"

He swung his sword down.

The force sent Unohana flying uncontrollably toward the huge swirling mass of rocks.

"Boom!"

A storm of stones smashed into the stone ball, as if trying to swallow her whole.

"Damn it, Qiye! Is this your power? Don't use this weird gravity trick—fight me with your sword!"

Unohana shouted angrily.

She saw Qiye's figure moving away quickly.

"Only a devil would fight like this..." Qiye muttered, pouting. "I can't hurt you properly, so I have to use this hard-to-control power."

"Boom!"

An overwhelming wave of rubble and bricks poured up into the sky.

Almost all the buildings in the Fifth Division were swallowed by the growing gravity.

Unohana's figure slowly disappeared into the swirling mass.

In the distance, Kyoraku Shunsui sighed deeply.

The black ball had turned into a giant monster—over a kilometer wide—like a huge meteor floating silently above the Seireitei.

Its gravity was so strong it shocked even the captains, making them doubt if they could resist it.

As the Fifth Division's matter was pulled up, the reach of Planetary Devastation spread again.

Now it included the Fourth and Sixth Divisions.

Kotetsu Isane watched in shock as her division's buildings were swallowed up by the floating mass.

What happened today made this poor vice-captain question his own life—and even wonder if he was dreaming.

In the Sixth Division, Byakuya Kuchiki stared at the sky with a dark expression.

He hadn't planned to attack earlier, but now, seeing the meteor forming above and feeling its power, he was shaken.

"Did Qiye really do this?!"

Rukia Kuchiki was confined in her room, leaning against the window as she stared at the "planet" in the sky with disbelief.

She had witnessed part of the battle.

It was unbelievable—a human had grown this strong.

He had survived attacks from two captains.

He defeated one, and now had to seal the other.

Just as the gravity spread further, a terrifying Reiatsu burst out from the First Division.

That Reiatsu burned fiercely, like facing the scorching sun itself.

"Can't you handle fighting so many captains?!"

A powerful voice rang out.

Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni stood with his soul-slaying sword raised, shouting:

"Everything will be reduced to ashes!"

"Ryūjin Jakka!"

His ancient sword ignited with roaring flames.

With a single swing, blazing fire filled the sky and slammed into the meteorite.

With a loud roar, the massive Planetary Devastation shattered into two halves.

Unohana Retsu was freed, blood still flowing beneath her feet, but she didn't care.

Her fierce eyes scanned the battlefield.

"Where is Nanaya?!"

The captains nearby exchanged surprised looks—they hadn't expected her to still be searching for Nanaya.

Then, several captains' pupils widened.

They watched the broken Planetary Devastation quickly heal itself, gathering countless particles to reform.

"Can the old man not destroy it with one strike?!"

Kyoraku Shunsui looked at the recovering meteor in shock.

No one knew Yamamoto Genryusai's strength better than him.

The title "Strongest Shinigami in a Thousand Years" wasn't just talk.

No one had beaten Yamamoto in that entire time.

Even the old man was surprised but swung his sword again.

"Boom!"

The meteor was smashed again.

Still, it kept repairing itself amid the raging flames, like it was forming a new planet right in Seireitei.

"Aruaruaru..."

After several strikes, when the fiery sword hit the core of the Planetary Devastation, the violent gravity suddenly stopped.

Massive amounts of matter fell back to the ground.

The Fifth Division was left in ruins, almost like a garbage dump.

Many captains shivered, their eyes fixed on the spot where Qiye had disappeared.

"This human is truly a monster."

"Old man Yamamoto is unbelievably strong."

Somewhere in the Seireitei, Qiye stood on a rooftop, watching the fiery sky with mixed emotions.

Though it was only Shikai, the Reiatsu bursting from Yamamoto's sword surpassed even Bankai-level captains—and Qiye could feel the intense heat.

Shaking his head, Qiye walked into an open area.

"I need to study the Rinnegan first."

After his Sharingan upgraded, his Reiatsu had increased dozens of times, and he had to master this power before it got out of control.

At the same time, above the Seireitei—

Kurosaki Ichigo, Inoue Orihime, Ishida Uryu, Sado Yasutora, Shiba Ganju, and Shihouin Yoruichi (in her black cat form) were all trapped inside a spirit ball.

With a loud crash, the spirit ball slammed into the Seireitei's barrier.

It exploded, sending the group flying like meteors, scattering them across every corner of Seireitei.

The Shinigami watching this felt a chill run down their spines.

"No way... they're attacking again?!"

Kyoraku Shunsui's mouth twitched nervously.

Just Nanaya alone had turned Seireitei upside down and destroyed the Fifth Division.

Now there were five or six more.

Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni's voice rang out:

"All Shinigami of Seireitei, follow my orders and capture the invading Rikao immediately."

"Yes, sir!"

"Understood!"

The captains nodded firmly.

The ordinary Shinigami could only follow along silently.

Where one meteor had fallen—

Yoruichi, still in black cat form, licked her paws and climbed out of the crater lazily.

"Seriously, Nanaya showed up so early. I wonder if there's any danger, or if he'll cause trouble?"

She stretched and jumped onto a wall to look around.

Then her eyes nearly popped out.

"Hey, hey, hey—this is still the Fifth Division?!"
