Mabel Quinn looked at Kyle Kinston beside her.
Kyle said, "Let's go inside and talk, standing out here is not ideal."
Evelina immediately smiled with delight.
Once inside the living room, Kyle dismissed the servant, and Evelina approached her daughter, trying to appear affectionate first. But Mabel stepped back two steps, calmly looking at Evelina, "Alright, Mom, just say what you came to say."
"Mabel, Mom is here today to apologize for what happened before, I was just momentarily overwhelmed back then, that's why I said those things. Please don't take it to heart, we're family, there's no overnight grudge, right?" Evelina said with a smile, putting on an image of a loving mother.
"Mom, if you just came to see me, then I understand. I'll get a car to take you back later," Mabel said.
