Xavier
Riley always had it rough when she had her period. I can't help but feel a tiny bit of sympathy towards her.
She might not remember this, but Riley fell asleep at some point in the car. I guess the pain knocked her out. That's how I was able to make a quick stop at the gas station to get her what she needed.
After arriving at our destination, I carried Riley in my arms to her penthouse floor. Fortunately for me, she still slept through the whole ordeal of me carring her in my arms. I carefully placed her on her bed, then went to wet a face cloth with cold water to wipe off the beads of sweat on her forehead.
I went to the kitchen to prepare chicken soup for her. When I returned to her room, Riley was finally awake.
"How am I in bed?" She scratched her head in confusion.
"I carried you."
She glared at me, as usual.
".... Thank you. I guess."
I sighed. "Anyways, I made you some soup, and here are your pills." I placed the soup by her bedside table, and I handed her the pills alongside a glass of water.
Riley took her pills without any protest. That's good. However, she didn't move an inch to drink her soup.
"What, you aren't gonna drink it?" I pointed at the soup that will get cold if she didn't have it right then and there.
Riley just shrugged. I took it upon myself to carry the chicken soup bowl and blow on the soup before bringing the spoonful of soup to her mouth. I knew it. She just wanted me to feed her.
I scoffed while she just smirked.
Riley finished the soup and lay back on her bed.
I guess it's time I left.
"I'm gonna go now. I also got you the stuff you need. It's in that bag."
I carried the tray out with me and closed the door behind me. When I got out of the elevator, onto the lobby, I realised that I've forgotten my phone back there.
Shoot, now I have to go back.
After punching in her lucky number and birthday combination on her door lock, I quickly scan the kitchen for my phone, but it's not there.
I knock on her bedroom door when I hear her crying. I quickly rush to her side to make sure she's okay.
"Riley, what's wrong?"
"It hurts so bad!"
"Uhm, have you placed the pain relief patch on your lower back?"
Riley shakes her head no.
"Okay."
I searched through the shopping bag I got her things with. It seems she's used the tampon and pads, so that's good. I also noticed that the heating pad was still lying in the bag.
I quickly made my way to the kitchen to boil some water in her kettle. After the water was at the temperature that I needed, I poured it in the heating pad, and then I tightly closed it. I made my way back to her room.
Riley saw me coming back in her room, and she seemed relieved. I helped her in placing the relief patches on her lower back. They can only do little, but at least they can help relieve her lower back pain for some time.
"Hey, come here." I turn Riley to face me and direct her hands to hold the heating pad in place against her abdomen.
"You'll be okay." I assure her.
Riley weakly nods and curls back in a ball, still in pain, I assume. I think back to how she always said that when I held her in my arms, she felt much better.
What's it gonna be, Xavier?
