Chapter 2 - Into the Game

Arin opened the game. A screen popped up in front of him, saying: Connect the VR headset to the device.

He connected the headset and put it on as the game started.

This was the first time he was playing his own game. Until now, he had only watched others play and gathered reviews from them. In his previous body, he had some kind of issue with VR headsets.

Here's the refined version, keeping your original structure, tone, and flow exactly as you requested:

The game's main menu opened in front of him. The background was shiny and bright, with multiple characters of different races looking up at the sky. Up there was the play button, and below it was the settings. The world chat icon sat in the top right corner.

He clicked on the world chat and sent a hello.

There was heavy traffic in the chat, but the moment his message appeared, all the conversations stopped. After a second, everyone ignored him, as if he hadn't sent anything at all.

'These people are too busy flirting and boasting about their achievements to even see a hello,' Arin thought.

He went back and pointed his cursor toward the play button.

Taking a deep breath, he changed the control setting from keyboard to the hand device of the VR.

The game loaded, and he found himself inside a house.

"What's this place? Is it Arin's house?" He looked around.

It was a small, wooden house with just one short bed behind him. There was a chest on the right side.

"Maybe it has some valuable items."

He walked toward it and opened the chest.

A blue window opened in front of him. It had 32 slots, 17 of them filled with basic items.

"He doesn't have anything valuable." He closed the chest window.

"Maybe I should check his stats, see if he's powerful or not."

He clicked a button on the hand gear, and a window popped up in front of him.

[Name - ImNumber1]

[Level - 25]

[Hand to Hand - 6]

[Power & Defence- 8]

[Weapons - 12]

[Mana - 14]

[Abilities - 10]

He looked through everything and nodded.

"Hmm… his stats are very low. Maybe he was a beginner. He's got a long way to go to reach the max level - 3000."

He noticed the Friends option at the top left, beside the Stats button.

'Does he have any friends?' he wondered and clicked on it.

The window was completely empty.

No friends. Not even a single random player who had played with him, no one to send a friend request to.

But he didn't mind.

"I guess he's either too much of a beginner, or one of those solo-leveling types who don't like teaming up."

He then clicked on the Inventory beside the Friends tab.

Currently, he had a wooden shield, a stone sword, and just two bronze coins.

"Too poor," he sighed, then walked toward the door and opened it.

His house was in the middle of a forest.

All around him were tall, towering trees.

He looked up at them.

"What the hell? I didn't think it'd look this high in VR."

He took a moment to analyze his surroundings.

'From my observation, it looks like I'm in the Great Forest of the Human Empire.'

He turned his head to the left.

'If I go straight in this direction, I'll reach the cliff.'

Then to the right.

'And if I go this way, I'll reach the Kingdom of Mira.'

He started smirking confidently.

'This is too cool. Being a player who knows everything about the world… I'm omniscient here.'

Arin started walking in the right direction. 'I'm gonna leave this house. It doesn't have anything valuable anyway,' he thought.

He walked for a few minutes and came across a pond. His eyes went to the hydration bar in the bottom-left corner, just below the food and health bars. It was nearly empty. 'Maybe I should drink some water.'

He opened his inventory but didn't have anything to carry water. "Tsk. Now I have to make one." He had some glass, but he still needed cork. So, he chopped some wood, enough for the cork and a bit extra just in case. Then he crafted a water bottle, filled it from the water, and took a drink. The hydration bar shot back up to full.

As he was putting the bottle back in his inventory, he caught a glimpse of his reflection in the water. He had a good-looking face, black hair, and blue eyes.

"No way! I saw the graphics on the computer, it was good, but in VR it looks real. My hand, everything, even this reflection is so detailed."

But then he realized, "What a late reaction. Anyway, it's not my fault. I forgot it was a game for a moment. Even though it's my game, I spent billions on it to make it look this realistic. So realistic that everyone will forget if it's a game or real life."

After walking for a minute, the forest ended and green plains came into view. "Wow! It looks so beautiful through my eyes."

He touched the grass and sat down, trying to fall asleep in that peaceful environment. His head suddenly bumped into the edge of his bed in real life.

"Oh right, I forgot it's VR, not nerve gear," Arin muttered, then got back up and continued walking in the game.

Then it appeared in his vision, the Kingdom of Mira. It looked stunning. Even the king's palace could be seen from where he stood.

His eyes widened at the sight. "This experience is insane! I like it!" He broke into a run, heading straight for the kingdom.

'I'll go to the kingdom, find a chick, and have some fun. Yoho, it's good being young again!' He thought.
