Chapter 1 - Married to My Enemy.

Rain poured down mercilessly as Ayesha sat in the cold, silent courtroom. Her eyes were fixed on the man who had destroyed everything she once called home — Zayan Malik.

Tall, confident, and dangerously calm, Zayan's presence sent a shiver down her spine. The arrogant CEO of Malik Enterprises, with his expensive suits and heartless eyes, was now standing before the judge... as her future husband.

"Do you, Ayesha Raza, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

She hesitated.

How could she say yes? This was the man who had ruined her father, crushed her family's reputation, and brought them to their knees. But then, her mother's helpless face flashed before her eyes. Her father's weak heart. The unpaid hospital bills. She had no choice.

Her voice trembled, but she answered, "I do."

Zayan smirked.

"For me, this is just a contract," he had said earlier that day. "A marriage of convenience. You'll be my wife on paper. Nothing more."

But Ayesha knew better. There was something in his eyes — a storm that hadn't yet arrived.

---

That night, she entered Zayan's mansion — not as a guest, but as his wife. The staff bowed respectfully, but their whispers were louder than thunder.

"She's the girl from the Raza family..."

"The one whose father was ruined by sir..."

"Why would he marry her?"

Ayesha kept her head high, even as her heart shattered with every step.

Zayan walked ahead, never once looking back at her.

"You'll stay in the guest room," he said coldly. "This marriage is nothing but a favor. Don't expect love... or mercy."

Her eyes burned, but she didn't reply.

This was her new reality — married to her enemy.

But what neither of them knew was that hate can spark a fire... and sometimes, even enemies can fall in love.
