Chapter 6 - 6 The Stranger's Words

Years passed like pages turning in a book.

Sara grew into a curious and kind young girl. Her smile could light up any room. She loved stories, especially ones about the stars and the moon. Arya and Rohan raised her like their own, hiding the truth about what they all were.

To Sara, they were just her parents — loving, protective, and always by her side.

She had no idea what lived inside her blood.

Now seventeen, Sara had started college in the nearby town. She had friends, a normal life, and dreams of becoming an artist.

But the shadows of her past were never far.

One evening, Sara was walking home from college. The sun had set, and the streetlights flickered on. She hummed softly to herself, a sketchbook clutched in her arm.

As she turned a corner, a man stepped in her path.

He looked middle-aged, with tired eyes and a long coat. Something about him felt... off.

"Excuse me," he said. "Are you Diviya's daughter?"

Sara blinked. "I'm sorry? Who?"

"Diviya," he said again. "You resemble her… so much."

Sara felt a chill run down her spine. "No, sir. My mom's name is Arya."

The man's expression changed slightly — a flicker of pain, or regret.

Then he asked, "Is your father's name Rohan?"

Sara hesitated. "Yes… why?"

But the man didn't answer. He turned and walked away quickly, disappearing into the crowd.

Sara stood frozen.

That night, at home, she told Arya and Rohan everything.

As she finished, she looked at them. "Why did he ask about someone named Diviya? Who is she?"

Arya and Rohan looked at each other — the truth, finally catching up to them.

Arya sighed and placed a hand on Sara's. "Diviya… was your real mother. Your biological mother."

Sara stared at them, her mouth slightly open. "What are you saying?"

Rohan stood. His voice was soft. "Sara… I am your father. But Arya… she's not your birth mother. She saved both of us when you were a baby."

Arya nodded. "Your mother was attacked. I found your father and you… bleeding on the road. I brought you here. To save your father, I had to turn him into a vampire."

Sara's eyes filled with shock. "Wait—what?"

Rohan came closer. "Yes. Arya is a vampire. She turned me to save my life."

"And you?" Sara asked him.

"I'm one too now."

Sara stood up suddenly, her breath quick. "You're both vampires? And I… I'm…?"

Arya looked at her gently. "You're not a vampire. But you're not human either."

Sara stepped back. "Then what am I?"

There was silence. Then Arya spoke the words that would change everything.

"Your mother, Diviya… was a werewolf."

Sara couldn't breathe. She looked at her hands, her arms, as if her body was suddenly unfamiliar.

"I'm part… werewolf?"

Arya nodded. "Yes. And now… they know you're alive."

Sara sat down slowly. Her voice cracked. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"We wanted you to live a normal life," Rohan said. "We wanted to protect you from that world."

"But now it's here," Arya whispered. "And we have to prepare."

Sara looked at both of them. "So everything I knew… was a lie?"

"No," Rohan said. "Our love for you was never a lie."

Sara didn't speak after that.

But in her heart, something had awakened — a storm of questions, fear… and a strange strength she had never felt before.
