Chapter 20 - The Plan--01

"Such rash words, the Alpha seems to be growing more

arrogant each day, to even refuse a marriage alliance from the house of Vireon, such Impudence." Elder Kane said angrily as he stepped outside with elder Holmes.

Elder Holmes just took a deep breath, cooling himself of the anger seeming to surge within. "What do you expect when the leadership of the strongest pack is handed over to a child."

"The house of Vireon is our only hope in winning a war, in as much as they're a part of the pack, we cannot forsake the fact that they want something in return for helping the Alpha in his duty." Elder Garren chimed in as he walked towards them in the hall.

The other two turned their heads towards his direction with surprise written all over their faces in his unannounced appearance in such a moment.

"Garren, in what practical season would you consider trying to stop walking stealthily." Elder Kane said as he eased the simple tension in his mind.

Garren smiled while he patted Elder Kane on the shoulder.

"It is normal for a former warrior to keep his stealth pace, even at old age." He said before continuing, " Also, I'll advice, the walls have ears as much as you have claws, you two might want to keep it down while you're still here in the building."

"In as much as I wouldn't ever want to agree with Elder Garren in anything, I fear he speaks the truth, we cannot forsake the fact that this conversation here isn't as private as we think of it." Elder Holmes said in a low tune.

Elder Garren smiled, he walked forward past them, then halted and spoke in a common tone, "Why don't you two gentlemen join me for tea, a discussion of one or two wouldn't be prohibited." He said before continuing his pace.

Elder Holmes and Kane gave each other a knowing look, before deciding to go with him in their own car. The three cars set off headings toward one direction, ' Garren's Two floors single apartment by the Riverside.

Meanwhile Seth watched from upstairs as the three cars with three different people left unusually in the same direction. He watched until the cars were out of sight, then before drawing the curtains over the large glass wall.

"What are you going to do?" He asked Aiden who seemed to be reading a file as always.

"Do about what?" Aiden asked back, not focused on what Seth was saying so he couldn't really quickly catch a grasp of what he was implying.

Seth sighed, as he tested his back against the shelf at his back where he stood. "The marriage alliance, it's obvious you're not fond of the idea of seeking a marriage alliance with the house of Vireon." He then replied.

"I am coming up with a solution, as for a marriage alliance....well it's definitely not in my line of plans. Certainly the elders would keep shut about this for the time being if the situation at hand is tackled skillfully" Aiden said as he gave Seth a meaningful look.

"I'm already making progress, I'll be sure to definitely handle it." Seth said in a reassuring tone.

Aiden didn't reply, just read through the report on his hands while Seth turned to look outside the window. The room was once more void of any sound except the continuous turning of pages and the tapping of the glass wall.

"I have a plan." Aiden said after some minutes.

Seth turned from the window towards him, taking a few steps with a playful smirk on his face. "I knew you'd definitely come up with one"__ he said as he took a seat.

Aiden ignored his cocky attitude as he uncrossed his legs and used his telekinesis to control a piece of white paper and a pencil to his grip.

In the hospital ward sixty four, Paisley stood by patient's bed. He had just woken up after the successful surgery yesterday. Liam stood not far as he monitored his heart rate and blood pressure, also observing the x-ray scan they had performed earlier on him.

"I've checked your vitals, you seem to be okay, all you need to do is take some rest, earlier on I injected you with a drug that would act as a catalyst to your healing process." Paisley said to him with a pleasant expression as she took a look at the IV flow.

He nodded, pausing for some seconds as if thinking about something. Paisley noticed, deciding to ask, she leaned a bit more forward than she already was.

"Is there something wrong?"

He blinked, coming back from his thoughts. "Nothing serious." He said before continuing, "If I may ask, when would I be discharged from the hospital?" He asked.

Paisley chuckled, thinking he was probably nostalgic, but seeing the expression, it was more of someone who was worried rather than one who was homesick.

"If everything goes according to my readings, you'll be out in two days after everything in your system is stabilized." She replied him.

"Great."__ he muttered.

"Well I'll advice you still come by often, the toxins in your body hasn't been totally eradicated, you'll need to undergo further treatment to completely have them out of your bloodstream"__ she added.

He nodded affirmatively, resting completely on the bed again. Soon the door was pushed open and a lady immediately rushed inside.

Not noticing the doctor not too close beside his bed, she rushed to the bed and hugged him, a bit carelessly for a patient who only got out of a red lighted ward not less than twenty four hours ago.

"Mom be careful, surely you don't intend to reopen your son's wounds again just after he almost died." Juan said as his mother hugged him tightly.

Hearing her son's words, she immediately loosened bee grip and then gently let him lay back on the bed.

"Sorry darling, I just missed you. You really have no idea how hard it has been throughout these few weeks you were unconscious in this hospital." Vivian said amidst sobs.

Juan took a deep breath, he could already imagine how his mother would have felt when she heard about his situation, the heartbreak and the tensed up worries were enough to send a human to the hospital due to high blood pressure.

"It's okay mom, I'm fine now, at least thanks the doctors." He said comforting his mother.

She wiped away the little drops of tears. It was then she noticed the two other figures in the ward, especially the girl who was directly opposite her. She had her eyes focused on the monitor screen beside Juan's bed, just before she turned her head casting a glance on her.

"Good afternoon ma'am." Paisley greeted respectfully.

" Good afternoon." Vivian replied as she got a good look at the female doctor before her. She had a very beautiful well proportioned oval face, her beautiful grey eyes which beamed like stars in the dark sky, and her silky soft black hair which she made into a messy bun, outlining her fair neck.

"You must be new here". She said to Paisley.

"No ma'am, I just arrived some weeks ago." Paisley replied.

Vivian lips curled into a satisfied smile as she sat down on the chair close to her son's bed.

"It's very evident, I know all the most beautiful ladies in the pack, I haven't seen your face before." She said to Paisley who made a light giggle. "Where're you from?" She asked.

"Silver Summit Pack." Paisley replied before she raised her head up catching Liam's signal that everything was alright with the patients heart rate and recovery speed.

"Wow, a prestigious pack I see, you must have quite an influential relation to be able to start working in the hospital as a surgeon within weeks of your arrival." Vivian said while Juan rolled his eyes at his mother's never ending questions.

"Yeah, my cousin seems to be the Beta of the pack."

"Ohh I see, Impressive.... Wait a minute child, that rascal's your cousin?"
