Chapter 13 - 13. I can't believe you're such a crackhead

Tae's POV: Man, the next one proved my prediction right.

It's most probably a point of view of the artist when she was sneakingly drawing her crush. Was the boy a model? He is slim and tender, doesn't seem to have a little amount of fat in his body.

OK, I take back what I said just now. This man is masculine lol.

Taehyung's focus got diverted by the sound of the calling bell. "Is that Umi?", thought Tae while heading to the door, leaving the diary flipped back on his bed. It was Umi in the door indeed. Tae helped her to take the shopping bags inside. She sat on the couch and Tae brought her a glass of water.

Umi: What happened within few hours that made you smile that sweetly? You look so happy.

Tae: Do I?

Umi: With no doubt.

Tae: Well I found something unbelievably interesting.

Umi: And what's that? Don't you dare to hide it from me.

Tae: It's a diary I found in my balcony. It's not mine. In fact I never saw it before. So. I was going through it.

Umi: Where is it? Bring it to me. Let's check it together.

Umi smiled mischievously and Tae shortly brought the diary to her. They started to check it together and Tae told her his opinion about those sketches.

Tae's POV: I wonder why Umi was smiling the whole time when I was describing those sketches. I could clearly fee that she was trying her level best to hold her laughter. After showing her the pages I already saw, we turned it to the one none of us see.

The next two were filled with incomplete sketches where she only made the framework. Well, no, it should be called a detailed framework. Actually it's my first time to go through a practice book of such a talented artist. So, I'm getting confused about how to describe it accurately.

The next one was pretty classy.

Tae: Was he her teacher? This man looks so classy.

Umi laughed out.

Tae: (furrowed eyes) Why are you laughing?

Umi: Nothing, my child! Continue! I hope you'd find the answer soon.

Tae felt kinda mad at Umi but he decided to overlook it. Cause the thing in his hand looked much more interesting. He turned over the page.

Tae: But Umi, why do I feel like I've seen these images before?

Umi: Oh god, Tae! I can't believe you're such a crackhead.

Tae: What do you mean?

Umi: Look at the next picture?

Tae: So, he's the model of the artist? I'm sure she was a stalker. Look how she made a quick sketch of her sleeping crush.

Umi: Ah- I wanna die suddenly.

Tae turned over the page ignoring Umi as he could feel the teasing vibe of his brat friend. But the next moment was his turn to freeze.

Tae: My goodness! Why does it look like me?

Umi: Cuz it really is you, dumbo! Those hands, well, I never observed yours that thoroughly so I didn't recognize that it was you. But those eyes? even someone who met you only once can say it belongs to you. How could you not recognize your own eyes?

Tae: So, that's the reason you were laughing?

Umi laughed again looking at flustered Tae. He surly is surprised, shy too, as someone drew out every single details of his body. She snatched the diary from Tae and started turning around the pages. She finally got a chance to tease Taehyung. How could he throw away such a heavenly opportunity?

Umi: Aw, my baby bear is looking soooooooo good. Just look how beautifully this lady has drawn my bestie. It's even better then those idols.

Tae: Oh, please, Umi!

Umi: I didn't know your eyes could hold this much love.

Tae: Where do you see love? It's a picture from my school function. I think she copied it from the poster.

Umi: Now you will definitely say it's a picture from your basketball match.

Tae: Of course it is. I remember wearing this headband. But I never knew anyone took a picture.

Umi: I'm getting goosebumps, bro! In this angle, with that expression, you're killing it, totally.

Tae: Killing what?

Umi: Killing the innocent vibe of yourself.

Tae: Huh?

Umi: Look at this one. An after fight portrait. Giving me jerk gangster vibe. This girl knows you well. You literally look like a thug in real life.

Tae: I dare you to say that again.

Umi: Go have a look at the mirror. You are looking totally like this portrait at this moment. Dangerous gangster with killer vibe.

Umi: This pout oh God, stole my heart. I can't believe I still haven't fallen for it. I saw you pouting, but never like that. Who's that lucky girl who saw your pout? Could it be someone... like... your hidden lover?

Tae: Shut up, Umi! I don't have one.

Umi: I feel like shrinking in honey water, Tae! You look so lovely. Feels like I'm seeing my little Tae back in your family tour in high school days. Why don't you smile nowadays?

Tae: I do smile.

Umi: Yes, you do. But it's not as lively as before anymore. Others can't see it. But I can! I heard you don't even keep in contact with your friends. If it wasn't for my performance in Olympics last year, I wonder if we had ever met again.

Tae gently smiled and turned around the page.

Umi: (chuckled) So, you had this side too?

Tae: Which side?

Umi: Arrogant attitude with sly vibe.

Tae: Why do I feel like you're cursing me?

Umi: Oh, please! I'm praising you, pig head!

Umi: (wide smile) Alright, now it's getting hotter.

Tae: Is it? I think she got this view when I was stretching my neck during matches. She probably is a fan of mine. Let's see the next one.

Tae: Wait! I never took off my shirt in front of other people. Not even in the changing room. How could she draw such a detailed and.... Aish! She's not a stalker, is she?

Umi: I have a strong feeling that she's someone you definitely know. Someone who saw you from thousands of views. Few views are even exclusive as she's the only one witnessing it. Someone too close to discover your insane duality in the most confounding way. I feel like she fall in love with you.

Tae: What?

Umi: Hmm. Trust me! I can smell the scent of love.

Tae: Are you sure you're not making up stories just to get the inspiration of a new song?

Umi: Huh? Hey! I'm not making up anything, Tae! I swear! I really feel like that.

Tae: And why should I believe that?

Umi: That's what we call the sixth sense of the women. Don't ask, just believe, OK?

Tae: Then I must say, you girls are pretty creative. No wonder you guys got the best sense of art.

Umi: Are you praising us or insulting us. You're confusing me, Tae. After all... You're best at giving hidden massages.

Tae: Why would I insult? Am I that kind of person to you?

Umi: Are you asking for the truth?

Tae: Yeah, of course!

Umi: In my eyes- (leaning closer to Tae) - You're undoubtedly that kind of person.

Tae: You- give it to me!

Tae snatched the diary and turned around. Umi followed him and satin front of Tae again, with a mischievous smile. Tae glared at her and turn around the page. The next moment, the diary fall down from his hand and Umi was quick enough to catch it.
