Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Awakening Day

In a small, worn-down bedroom, a young boy stood quietly in front of a cracked mirror. He looked no older than twelve, yet his crystal-blue eyes shimmered with wisdom far beyond his age. Snow-white hair framed his handsome, delicate features, giving him an ethereal look that didn't quite match the humble surroundings.

This boy's name... was Jax.

As he stared at his reflection, a distant light flickered in his gaze.

> "Twelve years... It's already been twelve years since I transmigrated into this world."

That's right—Jax was not a native of this world.

Once hailed as Earth's greatest genius, Jax's life had ended abruptly in an unexpected accident. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself reborn in the body of a newborn child, his memories from Earth intact. And to his astonishment, this world was nothing like the one he had known.

This was the Star God Realm—a land where magic flourished, beasts roamed freely, and the skies were ruled by cultivators and mythical races. In this world, when a child turned twelve, they would undergo a ceremony known as the Talent Awakening, a moment that determined their future path in life.

Some awakened elemental powers—fire, wind, lightning. Others gained spiritual affinities or rare physiques.

And today… was his turn.

> "I hope I don't awaken something useless like a Minor Flame Talent..." he muttered, sighing.

His Earth-born knowledge was vast, but here, strength ruled. And for the past twelve years, he had lived as the son of a poor widow, with little opportunity to use his genius. His father had died three years ago during a beast tide that ravaged their city, leaving his mother to care for him and his younger sister alone.

"Jax! We're going to be late! Hurry up!" a familiar voice called from downstairs.

"Coming, Mom!" Jax responded, snapping out of his thoughts.

He rushed down the creaky wooden stairs, where his mother stood at the door, holding the hand of a little girl no older than five.

"Big brother!" the girl called out joyfully as soon as she saw him, dashing into his arms.

Jax smiled warmly and knelt to ruffle her soft hair. "How are you feeling today, Maya?"

"I'm fine!" Maya beamed. "Brother, today is your Awakening Day, right? I want to awaken mine too!"

Jax chuckled softly and replied, "Don't worry, Maya. When you turn twelve, you'll have your own Awakening too. I know you'll get something amazing."

Standing at the doorway, their mother , Martha watched her children with tender eyes. Her face was tired, but her smile was full of warmth.

"Alright you two, let's get going. We don't want to be late," she said.

Jax nodded. Holding Maya's tiny hand, he followed his mother out of their home and onto the bustling streets of the outer city. People were heading in the same direction, all moving toward the Awakening Hall—a grand white building that stood proudly in the city center, glowing faintly with divine runes.

The closer they got, the more nervous Jax became. He could see other children his age, some in fancy robes, others in plain clothes like him, all standing with their families and waiting anxiously.

"Let's get you registered first," his mother said, gently guiding him by the shoulder.

Jax took a deep breath as he follow his mother,Martha as they walked towards the place for registration. A table and a chair were set up there and also a man could be seen sitting on the chair taking down names.

"Hello sir, I'm here to register my son for the test," Martha said towards the man sitting on the chair.

"Okay, what's his name," the man said .

"His name's Jax .... Jax Veridan " Martha replied

" How old is he ." The man asked again.

" Twelve, sir."

"Okay, he had been registered, you can wait for your team " The man said after taking down the details of Jax.

"Okay sir, Thank yo seeu" Martha was about to leave with her children when he heard the man voice again.

Currently, the awakening had not began, you should Frist find a place to sit down and with for ceremony to begin, just be prepared. If his name is called, and he doesn't come up the stage within 1 minute he would be skipped and will have to wait till next year to have his test done and but anything older isn't advised as the body is at its best state to start cultivating at that given age. But some do take the test later.

"Okay, thank you sir" Martha thanked him before taking Jax and Maya with her as they looked for a place to sit.

"Now sit down and behave. Wait for your turn patiently and don't get nervous okay" Martha advised her son calmly.
