Chapter 35 - [35] The Sharingan’s Fury, Pupil Power Increases

Ryosuke realized the trouble he was in—he had fallen for a simple diversion tactic using a clone. It was clear now that his battle experience was lacking.

With his current speed, there was no way to react in time. There was only one choice left—activate the Eight Gates.

In an instant, Ryosuke refined his chakra and opened the first gate: Gate of Opening.

A bulging vein rose on his forehead, and his skin darkened.

He turned just as Raihō's kick was about to land and lifted his leg to meet the blow, successfully blocking what was supposed to be a finishing move.

After parrying the attack, Ryosuke felt a wave of relief.

This world of ninja was filthy with deceit. At first, he had naively thought that battles were purely contests of power and speed. But reality was far more complicated—ninja warfare was built on strategies and deception.

If not for his Eight Gates training, he would've been utterly humiliated by such a basic trick.

He couldn't accept being looked down upon for training taijutsu under someone like Might Guy. Because learning the Eight Gates wasn't just about strengthening himself—it was his path to saving the Uchiha clan. And saving the clan meant saving himself.

With that burning conviction, his anger ignited. He opened the second gate: Gate of Rest.

Another vein burst on his forehead, and his skin grew even darker.

The pain that surged through him was immense, but he no longer cared.

He felt stronger than ever, and with explosive power in his legs, he charged at Raihō.

Raihō's eyes widened in disbelief. Ryosuke had actually blocked his sure-kill strike? How could that be?

Even more shocking was the sudden explosion of speed and power in Ryosuke—it was overwhelming. He couldn't keep up.

Before he could react, Ryosuke's leg slammed into him, sending him flying.

He crashed hard onto the ground, completely stunned.

Had Ryosuke been holding back the whole time when their taijutsu had seemed evenly matched?

But it didn't seem that way. No—this sudden surge in power must be some kind of secret technique.

It was nothing he'd ever heard of within the clan.

Though injured, Raihō stubbornly refused to admit defeat.

He climbed to his feet and rushed at Ryosuke again, his Sharingan locked onto Ryosuke's every movement.

But this time, he was completely overwhelmed.

Ryosuke's speed and strength had skyrocketed, and Raihō could barely keep up. Every blow Ryosuke threw forced Raihō to retreat, his guard faltering.

He couldn't understand it. What the hell was going on?

Seeing Raihō still putting up a fight, Ryosuke decided to end it.

He launched into a Leaf Whirlwind.

Raihō knew he couldn't take the full force of such a powerful taijutsu technique. But he had no choice—he had to meet the kick head-on or the match would be over.

As expected, when they clashed, it was Raihō who was forced back.

Still, he was relieved he had blocked it. Had that blow landed clean, he would've lost instantly—without even having the chance to use his Sharingan to its fullest.

But then something unexpected happened—Ryosuke spun into a second kick.

He lifted his left leg and delivered a heel strike.

Raihō saw it coming—but it was too late.

Crack!

The heel slammed into his side, and he went flying again, crashing to the ground in a heap.

The watching Uchiha elites turned pale.

Had Ryosuke just defeated Uchiha Raihō?

One of them gasped.

"That was some precise taijutsu… A two-stage kick? Most people wouldn't even think of pulling that off!"

Even they would've been caught by such a technique if they hadn't seen it coming.

But Ryosuke didn't follow up with another attack. This wasn't a fight to the death.

He simply stood there and said calmly,

"So that's it?"

"Then don't bother me again."

Raihō slowly got up, his gaze complicated as he stared at Ryosuke.

At that moment, something clicked for him—had Ryosuke truly mastered taijutsu under Might Guy?

Someone who possessed that kind of strength couldn't possibly be an idiot.

"What was that move just now?" he asked.

Ryosuke replied indifferently,

"Leaf Whirlwind."

Raihō repeated the name to himself, feeling its weight. It really was like a whirlwind—hard to block, and he hadn't expected that follow-up strike at all.

"Did you invent that taijutsu yourself?"

Ryosuke shook his head.

"I learned it from Might Guy."

He hadn't just studied taijutsu—he had learned Guy's combat instincts as well.

At that moment, Raihō finally admitted defeat.

Ryosuke had defeated him using Might Guy's taijutsu. There was no longer any reason to scorn his decision to train under Guy.

The Uchiha clan respected strength above all. If Ryosuke had grown strong enough to defeat him, Raihō had no grounds to ridicule him.

But now it was Raihō's turn to show what he excelled at.

Though he conceded in taijutsu, genjutsu was his true specialty.

His Three Tomoe Sharingan locked onto Ryosuke, glowing red and faintly shimmering.

Suddenly, Ryosuke felt dizzy.

A wave of vertigo struck him—this had to be genjutsu. Only genjutsu could interfere with his mind like this.

He focused his thoughts and fought back with all his will.

As he concentrated, a voice echoed in his mind—it was the system.

『Your Sharingan is furious! How dare a lowlife try to harm its master? Sharingan rapidly training! Pupil power greatly enhanced!』

Ryosuke immediately felt a warm surge of energy flood into his eyes. The spinning, disorienting sensation stopped. His mind cleared completely.

His pupil power had increased—he had successfully broken through the genjutsu.

He couldn't help but marvel at how… temperamental his Sharingan seemed to be.

Still, he pretended to be under Raihō's illusion. His eyes glazed over as he stood motionless.

The watching Uchiha clansmen sighed in relief. They had thought Raihō would lose for sure, but he'd turned it around with genjutsu and defeated Ryosuke's overwhelming taijutsu.

Clearly, the Sharingan was still superior and more worthy of training.

Raihō, back to his usual arrogance, smirked as he approached Ryosuke.

"Looks like mastering the Sharingan really is the right path."

"You really think so?"

The voice came from the dazed-looking Ryosuke.

Raihō froze in shock.

He couldn't believe it—his genjutsu hadn't worked?

And then Ryosuke's fist smashed into him, sending him flying again.
