Synopsis
Synopsis – Respawn as Lovers She’s a gaming sensation. He’s just a coder with an attitude. Together, they built a game about love. But neither of them expected to be trapped inside it. Rhea—known to millions as Codie, the bold, quick-witted gamer with a sharp tongue and sharper skills—is creating her dream project: a romance-survival game designed for couples, where love isn’t optional—it’s the only way to win. But Rhea can’t do it alone. Enter Blaze_King—real name Kapish—a sarcastic, unknown game developer who stumbles upon her livestream and casually applies to help. He doesn’t care about romance, or Codie’s fame. He just wants to code… and maybe challenge the one person who talks more trash than he does. They argue. They compete. They annoy each other to death. And somehow, they make the perfect dysfunctional dev team. But one night, while testing a couple mission in the game, a glitch changes everything. Rhea and Kapish wake up not in their chairs, but inside the world they built—trapped in the pixelated universe of their own making. Now, to escape, they’ll have to play by their own rules: complete tasks meant for lovers, raise their emotional bond, and survive challenges where feelings matter more than weapons. But how do two people who can’t stand each other fake love long enough to win? And what happens when the line between pretending and feeling starts to blur? Enemies. Teammates. Maybe something more. Welcome to Respawn as Lovers—where falling in love isn’t just part of the story. It’s the only way out.

Chapter 1 - This is why I hate coders

Codie – POV

"Guys," I leaned closer to the mic, trying not to laugh as I watched chat explode again, "you already know I'm working on something crazy."

The pink neon glow behind me pulsed gently as I adjusted my headset and smiled.

I loved moments like this — when nobody knew what I was about to drop, and the suspense was making them lose it in chat.

> "I'm building a game. A real one. Co-op. Survival. Romance."

Boom. Chaos.

---

Chat Section:

My live blowing up in 3… 2…

ZonixLive: OMG is this another prank stream 😭

StarVoid: drop the drama, just tell us already

Simps4Codie: I'm scared but excited ngl

Jellybyte: survival + romance?? girl WHAT

KillSage: no way you're serious

ToxicChan: watch it be trauma in disguise 😂

CoderMess: oh damn

DarkSoul97: is this an open call??

CutieDotEXE: where do I apply before I die of FOMO 😭

---

I grinned.

> "Yes, it's that kind of game. And no, I'm not doing it alone."

I leaned forward, voice soft and tempting.

> "I need coders. People who know how to break things and build them better. If that's you, check the link in the description. Fill the form. Impress me."

I gave the camera a wink.

> "I'll be watching."

---

Blaze_King (Kapish) – POV

I wasn't even supposed to be watching YouTube.

It was just background noise. A few gameplay breakdowns while I finished my chai.

Then boom — her stream popped up. Codie.

Everyone in the gaming scene knew her. Loud. Famous. Possibly insane.

And somehow, I clicked.

Just when she said —

> "If you're a coder, send your name..."

I frowned.

Seriously? Open call?

Tch. Not really my thing.

But… I didn't have any project lined up, and I was bored.

So why not?

I filled the form — half for fun.

---

> Name: Blaze_King

Role: Game Developer — survival mechanics, AI pathing, scripting

Why me: I write better code than people write love stories. Prove me wrong.

---

I hit send.

Then I shut my laptop and forgot about it.

Next Morning – Blaze_King's POV

Inbox (1)

Subject: WELCOME TO TEAM CUPIDQUEST 🎮💘

I blinked.

Then opened it.

It was real.

Wait—what?

They actually picked me?

"Bro… what did I even write?" I mumbled to myself.

Oh right.

The 'code vs love story' thing.

God. That probably sounded like arrogance.

I didn't think I'd actually get picked.

Later That Evening – Codie's POV

Back on stream.

Same setup. Cat mug. Pink lighting. Wild chat.

I sipped and grinned.

> "Hey chat, guess what? We finalized our dev team."

A dramatic pause. My favorite thing.

> "And there was this one guy… who wrote: 'I write better code than people write love stories.'"

I let out a low chuckle.

> "If you're watching, Blaze_King… Welcome to my story."

---

Chat Section:

My babies were wildin' again.

404Coder: LMAOOOO savage 😂

Simps4Codie: poor guy's already doomed

UwUChan: not him dragging romance 💔

DevilInDenial: this team bout to be chaos I can feel it

---

Blaze_King – POV

I was watching.

And now I regretted everything.

She called me out.

On stream.

By name.

This was supposed to be a chill side thing. Quiet collab. Fix a few bugs. Go back to my own games.

Instead, I was now "the coder who dissed love."

Great.

This girl was going to ruin my peace.

And something told me…

… I was about to ruin hers too.
