Cherreads

Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Promise

After returning from the hospital, the house felt empty. Many of our belongings had already been shipped to Hokkaido. All that was left was the mattress in my room and a few changes of clothes for me and Haruna, besides some food supplies for two days. Everything else was gone. The furniture was all gone too.

"While I was away, it seems a lot of stuff was already moved to Hokkaido, huh....." "But... not everything, right?" "What?" "Some of the items were bought by the kids." "Bought?" I was surprised. "Yeah, the money's right here," Haruna showed me the money.

The money Haruna held was one million Rupiah, which is about 10,000 Yen. Wow, that's a decent amount to start with in Hokkaido, especially since my money in Hokkaido was only 5,520 Yen, or about 552,000 Rupiah.

It was still daytime. The distance between the hospital and my house wasn't too far. It only took two hours to get home. The house was extremely quiet now. It felt like a newlywed's home. And in two more days, I wouldn't be in Indonesia anymore; I'd be back in my hometown of Hokkaido.

"This house... we'll be leaving it soon, won't we...." "Um... this house will also be used by someone else tomorrow." "Haruna...." "Yes?" "We don't have much time left here. Do you want to leave a memory behind?" "Um... of course... Yoshimune-kun....," Haruna said shyly.

Haruna and I were about to kiss when suddenly, the kids called my phone. Haruna and I jumped, startled by my phone ringing. I looked at my phone; it was Ario calling, just as Haruna and I were about to do something "interesting." UGH!! WHAT A MOOD KILLER!!

"What!?" I snapped, annoyed. "Frank, you're going home in two days, right? Want to hang out today? The kids also want to celebrate before you go back to Hokkaido." "Uh... whatever, that's fine."

So, Haruna and I went to the place the kids had agreed on. Of course... this time the event was at PTC (Pakuwon Trade Center). All the kids were gathered at the entrance, and Wenny was there too. The plan was shopping and walking around. Many PTC visitors stared at me with hostile expressions and criticized me because of my eye patch. There was even a little kid who clearly spoke about me.

"Mama!! There's a pirate in PTC!! Scary~~~"

Damn it!! They thought I was a pirate again!! If I were a pirate, I'd bring Husky to sit on my shoulder as a parrot substitute. And I'd make him say, "Squawk~~~ You bastard~~~ Squawk~~~ You bastard~~~". Then I'd pose like a pirate, "Arr~~~ do you want to be kidnapped by Captain Pirate, little one!? Arr~~~~". But that felt impossible...

This time, the activity was watching a live-action movie. The story was pretty cool, but unfortunately, the main character was just so ugly!! And he was old too!! The kids were only interested in the special effects. I definitely preferred the story. Suddenly, Haruna took my right hand. Because the room was very dark, I could only vaguely see Haruna's face.

Finally, the movie ended. Now, my stomach needed filling. This time, Kevin was treating us (as expected, he's rich, you know~). He ordered food at HokBen (Hoka-Hoka Bento). The tables were pushed together. The kids finally started eating after ordering. I sat next to Haruna. I ate slowly to keep my wild, beast-like nature (a.k.a. gluttony) in check.

"Yoshimune-kun, here's some Ebi-katsu. You probably need more." "Haruna, I'm already full." "Ii ja nai ka (It's fine, isn't it?), I can't finish it either. Don't you feel sorry for me~~," Haruna pleaded like a cat. "Uh... okay then....," I gave in, unable to resist. "Come on, Frank, show your wild side," Halim said while drinking Coke. "DAMN IT!! WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM, HUH!?" I snapped, emotional.

Fortunately, the atmosphere was lively, so I could scream as much as I wanted. Besides, there were many hyperactive kids here. Man, what did they eat to be so super-duper active like that? It felt like they just ate alkaline batteries, right? (Just kidding!!)

The clock showed 5:30 PM. The kids still hadn't gone home. The girls were still energetic enough to go shopping again, while the boys just waited. It turns out girls' legs are stronger for walking than boys'. This time, Aaron chatted with me.

"Franky, when you're in Hokkaido, are you going to college or work?" "I've decided. Work." "Hoo... I see... Oh, by the way, this is for you. You'll definitely need it."

Aaron gave me something. When I looked, it was... OMG, WTF?! He gave me condoms?! You crazy demon kid!! I immediately threw that cursed, illicit item at Aaron's face. How could he give me something like that? Do I look like a pervert!?

Finally, the girls finished their shopping, and the kids also wanted to go home because it was getting late. The time was already 6:30 PM. Oh no!! I hadn't fed Husky yet!! Husky might get angry and bite me. Yurushitekure (Please forgive me), Husky!! Quickly, after parting ways with the kids, Haruna and I went home. It turned out the ride home took much longer than the trip there. We arrived home at 8:25 PM. HUSKY~~~~!!! I'M SO SORRY!!!! GOMENNNN!!!

My body felt completely sore after going to PTC. My legs ached, and my body felt stiff, like I'd lifted a ton of concrete. Ugh, my body felt completely broken. But strangely, Haruna was completely fine. Almost all my muscles were twitching and throbbing. I immediately collapsed onto the bed, exhausted from walking around. There were no interesting TV shows today either. Wait... how can I watch TV!? My TV was already bought by the kids!! Oh, for crying out loud....

This time, my eyes felt incredibly heavy. And I immediately fell asleep as soon as my eyes felt so heavy. I took off my earphones and fell into a deep sleep. In the middle of my sleep, I heard the faint sound of someone opening the door. I couldn't open my eyes because they were so heavy. I also couldn't move my body; almost my entire body felt paralyzed. After that, I heard no more sounds. What I felt this time was someone's body. With a weight level one (a girl, level two would be a boy), she sat on my stomach. I clearly couldn't move at all, but I felt her hands holding my face, then I suddenly felt warm, panting breath. Then I felt a kiss on my lips, and my eyes slowly opened. It was Haruna kissing me while I was asleep. Before I knew it, morning had arrived. WOW! Hayai (Fast)!!

"Ha... Haruna....," I was shocked. "Ohayō ne (Good morning), Yoshimune-kun," Haruna smiled. "You... kissed me?...." "Have you forgotten? That we are koibito (lovers/sweethearts)....."

Oh right, I completely forgot that Haruna and I were dating. I finally got out of bed and faced Haruna. Then I stroked Haruna's head and kissed her on the lips. Husky was next to me, waiting to be fed, the greedy dog. I finally got out of bed and fed Husky. This time, I took a shower and brushed my teeth while waiting for Haruna to finish cooking. After Haruna finished cooking, we finally ate together.

"Haruna, where do you want to go before we leave tomorrow?" "Atashi.... I want to see our last school..." "Gakko (School), huh.... Um, Daijobu (Okay)."

Finally, after eating, Haruna and I went to school. Since it was Sunday, the school was very quiet; there was no one there. It felt like an empty building. We passed each room together, reminiscing about our school days. As we walked through the rooms, Haruna and I held hands. I also remembered my memories from junior high and high school. I remembered having lunch together on the fourth floor, and even asking about lessons in our own classroom. And other crazy things we did in class. Finally, Haruna and I were on the fourth floor, where I usually was. The room was very quiet.

"So many memories we left here, huh." "Ah, Sō da yo ne (That's right)... Haruna..." "Yoshimune... I... still have somewhere I want to go..." "Hm, Doko? (Where?)" "....Mall," Haruna said shyly. "Mall?" I was confused.

Haruna just nodded shyly, but what Haruna said was true. I wouldn't be able to come back to Indonesia either. Haruna and I would be in Hokkaido. There was no way we'd come back to Surabaya. Finally, after finishing at school, Haruna and I headed to the mall. Haruna bought things that weren't available in Hokkaido. And I only bought the last novel before I left Indonesia.

"Haruna," I called Haruna. "Um, what is it, Yoshimune?" Haruna replied. "Are you tired yet?" "Umm, I'm not tired yet, why?" Haruna shook her head. "There's one more place I want to visit."

After finishing at the mall, I took Haruna to a place I wanted to visit one last time before leaving Surabaya. The beach. Yes, the beach, and the timing was perfect as it was already late afternoon. Haruna and I walked along the beach, enjoying the beautiful waves and the sunset.

My head suddenly thought about koibito, which could mean dating as a couple. If I was considered a couple, then... my virginity was gone!! I had lost my mojo!! Oh no!! I LOST MY MOJO!! (Imitating Austin Powers, "Yeah Baby Yeah!!")

"Uh... Haruna... I want to ask..." "Hai, Nan desu? (Yes, what is it?)" "When you woke me up, you said we were koibito, right?" "Um...," Haruna nodded. "Why didn't you just say Kanojo (girlfriend)?" "Because.... we've always been together... Yoshimune-kun.... and we haven't done anything ecchi." "Sō ka... that's true, huh....," I had guessed wrong.

Thank goodness, I thought she had taken my virginity. I thought she had done forbidden things with me. But well, I'm relieved that my virginity is still intact. This time, the beach was very quiet. The sun was slowly setting. Evening turned into night. Finally, Haruna and I decided to go home. Because tomorrow's flight to Hokkaido would depart at 12:45 PM WIB.

Homecoming

Finally, the day I would leave Indonesia began. All my belongings were gone. I had already brought Husky with me. Haruna was waiting in the car. My Chevrolet Camaro SS had helped me so much, and there was no way I could bring it to Hokkaido. Finally, I headed to the airport before it was too late. My old house in Indonesia had been bought by Stjue's friend.

Before going to the airport, Haruna and I had a quick breakfast, then headed back to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. When we arrived at the international departures, all our friends had gathered. They wished Haruna and me goodbye. This time, Wenny also joined.

"It feels lonely without you, Frank." "Well, at least you can visit Hokkaido, right?" "Aren't you coming back to Indonesia?" "I can't come back. I'm working in Hokkaido now." "Si Goto?" Regan asked innocently. "SHIGOTO!! WORK, for goodness sake!!" I snapped. "Working as a crime scene investigator in Hokkaido?" Halim joked. "You idiot!! Taking over Stjue's and Haha's jobs!!" I got even more emotional. "Haruna too, Frank?" "Yup, she's also working in Hokkaido." "What kind of work does she do?" "Ballet teacher, that's what she said." "Frank, please bring me souvenirs from Hokkaido." "Okay. I'll give you a special drink from Hokkaido's capital: Sapporo Beer!!" "Why beer!! I asked for a demon child DVD!!" Budi exclaimed, annoyed. "Do you want to get hit with customs duties if I send a DVD, huh?"

I remembered one thing I had left behind: the car keys. My car keys were still in my pocket. I finally handed the car keys to Kevin. It was time to leave my beloved car. When I handed him the car keys, he just replied lightly, "Keep them. I'll drive it later." Then he pulled out a photo from his wallet, "Besides, I already bought the 2000 Concept version." He then laughed hysterically like a stressed person. I could only stare blankly at such a rich person. Marry your car already!!

The time was still 11:00 AM, with 1 hour and 45 minutes left until the plane arrived. Suddenly, Wenny called me shyly. She took me to a somewhat quiet spot away from other visitors. It was just Wenny and me. Wenny's face also showed that she hadn't accepted my departure.

"Wenny, what's wrong?" "Are you really going back to Hokkaido?" "Ah... of course...." "Are you not alone?" "No, my old friends are in Hokkaido too." "A.. Ano... Franky...." "Hm? What is it?" "Um... Can I come to Hokkaido?" "Atarimae da yo (Of course), you can come anytime." "Really!?" Wenny started to look relieved. "A.. Ah... Mochiron (Of course)."

Suddenly, the plane to Hokkaido arrived. Before I left, Wenny called me, then she quickly gave me a kiss on the cheek and left quickly, leaving me. Finally, Haruna and I arrived at the waiting area inside the airport. I could still feel the kiss on my cheek. This meant it was my last memory in Indonesia. But I couldn't accept Wenny, because Haruna was the one whose promise I had kept for so long.

Suddenly, the plane to Hokkaido finally arrived. The sky was very clear. There were no disturbing dark clouds. Finally, Haruna and I were in the same seat. I put Husky under my seat. That Husky finally stayed quiet inside the plane.

This time, I looked out the window as Haruna slept soundly next to me. I remembered what happened last night when Haruna and I were alone in the room. Haruna and I (sorry, a bit sadistic) did something ecchi!! I never expected Haruna to want me that much. I couldn't do anything but always be by Haruna's side, and I couldn't refuse her either.

Ten hours from Surabaya to Hokkaido. We finally arrived at Hakodate Airport. After getting my bag and Haruna's bag, at the exit, I saw both unfamiliar and familiar faces: Suba-nee, Narika, and five people who looked unfamiliar to me. Haruna and I headed towards Narika and Suba-nee.

"Okaerinasai, Furanki." Subaru's greeting. (Welcome back, Franky.) "Ima boku wa Yoshimune, Suba-nee. Furanki no namae wa valid to iyana desu." (Now I'm Yoshimune, Suba-nee. The name Franky is no longer valid.) "Are? Oni-chan, anata migi me dōshite?" Narika asked. (Huh? Brother, what happened to your right eye?) "A-Ano, Yoshimune-kun tasukeru atashi gorotsuki kara dare ni yuuwaku suru atashi, ne?" Haruna lied. (Um, Yoshimune saved me from thugs who were teasing me, right?) "Uh, Sō!! Sō desu!!" I responded. (Um, that's right!! That's right!!)

Actually, I just saved Haruna from Yanto's kidnapping, it wasn't someone teasing Haruna so much that they almost poked my right eye. But if I didn't tell the real story, I'd feel calmer.

"Ano... kimi wasureta atashi Yoshimune?" someone asked. (Um... have you forgotten me, Yoshimune?)

Someone called me. I looked at the five people. Some I had seen before, and some I hadn't. I finally pointed at each person in my memory, one by one.

"Nanoha-Senpai... Nadoka-Senpai.... Mitsuki.... Kojiro, eh.... Omae wa dare ka? (You who?)" (Nanoha... Nadoka.... Mitsuki.... Kojiro, uh.... Who are you?) "Boku wa omaera tomodachi da!! Yusukeee!! Anta wasureta no ka!?" Yusuke snapped, emotional. (I'm your best friend!! Yusukeee!! Have you forgotten!?) "Ah~~ hai, Yusuke~~ Boku wa hontō ni wasureta." (Ah~~ Yes, Yusuke~~ I really did forget.)

Seriously, I often forget my close friends. Sometimes, after a long time apart, I forget everything. Sometimes I remember their faces more than their names. Well, that's my flaw. Suddenly, Nanoha hugged me tightly until I couldn't breathe.

"Wah, Yoshimune-kun~~!! Osashiburi~~!!" Nanoha said happily. (Wow, Yoshimune~~!! Long time no see~~!!) "Na... Nanoha-Senpai.... Osashiburi..." I struggled to speak. (Na.... Nanoha.... Long time no see too...) "Nanoha, Yoshimune-kun shinu ka dekiru desu wa." (Nanoha, Yoshimune might die.) "Eh? A... AAAH!! Gomen Yoshimune-kun!!" Nanoha apologized. (Eh? A... AAAH!! Sorry Yoshimune!!) "Ah~~ Ii na yo, Boku wa daijobu desu." I was relieved to be free from the chokehold. (Ah~~ It's okay, I'm fine.) "Osashiburi da ne, Yoshimune." Kojiro said. (Long time no see, Yoshimune.) "Ah, omaera koso da Kojiro." My gaze turned to the child Kojiro was holding. "Uh... ore wa anata no one-ne desu ka?" (Ah, you too, Kojiro.) (Uh... is that your sibling?") "Chigau n da, ore wa kodomo boku wa gōhi to Mitsuki yomeiri." Kojiro said proudly. (No, this child is from my marriage with Mitsuki.) "HEE!? MAJIKA YO!?" I was incredibly surprised. (HEE!? SERIOUSLY!?) "Sō desu wa.....," Mitsuki said, blushing shyly. (That's right....,)

I just stared in disbelief. So Mitsuki and Kojiro were dating and had a child!? Don't tell me they did something ecchi with Mitsuki; my instincts told me so. They definitely did something ecchi, the proof is they have a child. The child is only 4 years old.

After the pleasantries, the journey to Hakodate, where I would live, began. The journey from the airport to Hakodate was quite long. I couldn't sleep because of the cold weather in Hokkaido. Unconsciously, snow started falling earlier than usual, even though it was still October. The weather was also a bit cloudy and very cold. Suddenly, Husky happily went to the window.

Finally, we arrived at my grandparents' house, which turned out to be quite large. Haruna and I took my bags from the car's trunk. I put all my bags in my room; my room was Japanese-style. As soon as I entered, I fell because of a damned banner in front of me that read: "Happy in da hoy, Franky and Haruna!!" (And the English was gangster slang!).

AAAAARGH!! This must be Stjue's and Haruna's dad's doing!! They must think that Haruna and I have been doing naughty things again!! My head was spinning facing two equally crazy fathers.

"Nani da ore wa!?" I started to be in shock. (What is that!?) "Happy in da hoy? Dō iu imi da yo?" Haruna was confused. (Happy in da hoy? What does that mean?) "Wasure na iyo, wasureta." (Forget it, just forget it.)

Finally, after Haruna and I put away all my belongings and Haruna's belongings, we decided to go to the temple to pray. The journey from the house to the temple was quite short. Haruna and I prayed at the temple, then picked up a fortune paper, which indicated "medium luck." After leaving the temple, I headed to the small town where Haruna and I first met. And some residents greeted Haruna, then an auntie chatted with Haruna.

"Oh, Haruna. Anata modoru desu ka?" (Oh, Haruna. You're back, are you?) "Hai, tadaima desu." (Yes, I just got back.) "Ara? Kimi...." (Oh? You....) "Yoshimune desu." (Yoshimune.) "Yoshimune? Yoshimune Date desu ka?" (Yoshimune? Is that Yoshimune Date?) "Hai, sō desu." (Yes, that's right.) "Kimi hontō ni ryūkō no na. Yoshimune." (You're really popular, Yoshimune.) "He? Popura?" (Huh? Popular?) "Hai, minna sodan suru kimi desu. Kimi no otosan hontō ni ryūkō no desu ne." (Yes, everyone talks about you. Your father is really popular, isn't he?)

Huh? From talking about me, why did it shift to Stjue and Haruna's father? Strange. Oh right, actually Stjue and Haruna's father are siblings, older and younger brother. The auntie just said that Stjue and Haruna's father used to pull her skirt when they were young, around my age. DAMN YOU, FLIRTY STJUE!! WHO'S FLIRTY NOW, HUH!?

Finally, Haruna and I arrived in the city after taking the train. Many things had completely changed there. The atmosphere had become a small town. There were bookstores, snack shops, and many other things, while the shop where Haruna and I first met was still the same and hadn't changed. Then Haruna went into that shop, a souvenir shop.

"Irasshai!! Oh, Haruna!" (Welcome!! Oh, Haruna!) "Konbanwa, ojisan." (Good evening, uncle.) "Natsukashii ne, oh, anata Yoshimune desu ka?" (It's been a long time, oh, are you Yoshimune?) "Hai, Osashiburi." (Yes, long time no see.) "Minna matte anata wa desu na." (Everyone's been waiting for you, you know.) "Hontō ka? Hahaha... sō ka na." (Really? Hahaha... is that so.)

Haruna looked at the souvenirs inside. The shop was quite crowded because there was a 30% discount. Haruna and I looked at all the souvenirs there; everything was Christmas-themed. Even though it was still October, two more months until Christmas.

I found a cute doll that looked like Husky. Haruna also saw the doll I was looking at; it really looked like Husky. The price was only 500 Yen. It was pretty cheap. This time, I bought it for Haruna as a Christmas gift. After paying, the uncle called again.

"Ah, Chotto matte (Wait a moment), dengon boku wa dekiru kara anata kazoku desu." (Ah, wait a moment, I have a message. From your parents.) "Nan desho?" (What is it?) "Uh... we... are.... waiting... in... cafe... Ore wa Eigo!! Boku wa Eigo wakaranai!!" (Uh.... we.... are... waiting... in... cafe.... This is English!! I don't understand English!!) "Dōshite Stjue suki Eigo? Hen da yo." I was puzzled. (Why does Dad like English? Weird.) "Yoshimune, iko." (Yoshimune, let's go.) "Ah, arigato gozaimasu." (Ah, thank you very much.)

Finally, Haruna and I left the uncle's shop. Snow was still falling calmly. Suddenly, three delinquents approached Haruna and me. Their faces looked very resentful.

"Haruna, omae wa iyana ingerun da!!" said delinquent 1. (Haruna, you won't get away!!) "Boku wa want revenge!!" said delinquent 2. (I want revenge!!) "Dare da aitsu Haruna?" (Who are they, Haruna?) "Karera wa gorotsuki atashi gakko desu." (They are thugs from my school....) "Hō... gorotsuki ka...." (Oh... thugs, huh...)

Just remembering delinquents, I remembered my past, where I brutally eliminated Yanto. I looked at Haruna; she was confused about what to do first, fight or run. When one of the thugs approached Haruna, I blocked him, wanting him to go as far away from me and Haruna as possible. But no, they challenged me instead.

"Nan da yo omaera!?" said delinquent 3. (What's your problem, huh!?) "Jama suru na..." I protected Haruna. (Don't bother me...) "Yo... Yoshimune!!" Haruna was scared. "Yoshimune? Oh, omaera Date clan no kōkei-sha na? Koshakashii." (Yoshimune? Oh, you're the Date clan successor? Ridiculous.) "Soshite nan da yo omaera? Hetakuso." (So what, huh? You losers.) "Kizama!! Shine!!" delinquent 2 was annoyed. (Bastard!! Die!!) "Yoshimune!!" Haruna was scared.

Quickly, the delinquent punched me out of annoyance. Before he could hit me, I was forced to slam him with a samurai technique I had learned. Then another delinquent kicked. I caught his leg and threw him until he hit a trash can. As the leader got annoyed, he pulled out a brass knuckle from his pocket and swung his fist. Quickly, I caught it and slammed him again. After I knocked all three down, they got up again. This time, I told Haruna to take cover, but she ended up helping me fight them. As they attacked again, Haruna kicked one in the face until he collapsed, and I tackled another until he fell. Then all the delinquents left in fear.

Finally, Haruna and I arrived at the cafe. My parents and Haruna's parents were already waiting at a table. Haha called me as I entered the cafe, then Haruna and I headed to where Haha called. Haruna and I sat down together. As the waitress handed us the menu, I asked for hot sake and Haruna for green tea. Finally, Haha spoke to me.

"Kimi no tsuchibō dō? Yoi? Warui?" (How's your report card? Good? Bad?) "Yoi desu yo, B to C desu, Haha." (It's good, B and C, Mom.) "Yoshimune, omae wa heya shokuda mitenai?" Stjue started speaking with a grinning face and a sunlight-shining white-toothed smile. (Huh?) (Yoshimune, didn't you look at your room in shock?) "Boku wa hontō ni shokuda!! Itsuka Stjue gangsta-go dekiru?" (I was really shocked!! Since when can Dad speak gangster language!?) "Kimi no Papa mō mite MTV... dakara Papa suki Eigo desu...," Haruna's mother said. (Your dad has been watching MTV... that's why Dad likes English.) "Hohoho... I Rofu Hokkaido!!" (Hohoho... I love Hokkaido!!)

Huh? Since when did Stjue enjoy watching MTV? He must have been poisoned by watching 'E Channel'. My Stjue is a fan of Carmen Electra, and my Haha is a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio. They're so different, oh my goodness!! Then the atmosphere turned serious. I started asking Haruna's father.

"Ano sa.... kimi no hontō ni Haruna kekkon suru dare ka ni?" (Um... are you really going to marry Haruna off to someone?) "Ore wa honto, shikashi boku wa yameru na." Haruna's father said definitively. (That's true, but I canceled it.) "Ha?" "Jitsu wa ne... boku wa hanashi kiku kara kimi no otosan. Haruna ima boku wa wakatteru, kimi ni suki ni Yoshimune desu ka Haruna?" (Actually... I heard the story from your father. Haruna, I understand now. Do you like Yoshimune, Haruna?) "Eh?... u... etto.... ha... hai.... atashi... Yoshimune suki desu," Haruna blushed. (Eh?... um... ahh.... I... Yes.... I... like Yoshimune.) "Yoshimune, kimi no Haruna suki desu ka?" Stjue asked. (Yoshimune, do you like Haruna?) "Ha.. Hai... Haruna boku wa hontō ni suki desu," I became nervous. (Y-yes... I really like Haruna.) "Sō ka na... kimitachi hontō ni koibito da na...," Stjue and Haruna's father understood. (I see... you two really are lovers, aren't you?) "Ha... Hai...," Haruna and I replied shyly. (Y-yes...) "Yoshimune, Haruna, kimitachi no seikōshō wa okonau desu ka?" Stjue asked. (Yoshimune, Haruna, did you two have sexual relations?)

Shimatta!! (Damn it!!) It seems Stjue can read my mind and Haruna's!! There's no way I can answer a question like that!! But fortunately, it was just a joke, not a real question like that. Well, it's good that it was just a joke. Haruna and I almost had a heart attack (no medium rare, huh?).

After finishing talking with my parents and Haruna's parents, Haruna and I went for another walk. In the middle of our journey, Haruna and I couldn't believe Stjue's and Haha's words that they would marry me to Haruna. I was also going to be designated as the seventh successor of the Date clan. My body felt incredibly light, and even more surprisingly, three months later, Haruna and I would be married immediately. Of course, I was incredibly shocked.

The clock showed 09:12 PM. Finally, Haruna and I went home. This time, our parents decided to go to an onsen (hot spring bath), while Haruna and I went on another trip. Haruna and I went to the hill where we used to play with our families. The journey wasn't too far, just across from the residential area. Finally, I arrived at the place where Haruna and I used to play. The cherry blossom tree where I played was still sturdy.

"Kirei na....," I admired the cherry blossom tree covered in snow. (Beautiful....) "Sō da yo ne....," Haruna also admired the cherry blossom tree. (That's right....)

I remembered my childhood again. It was autumn then. Haruna and I often played around the cherry blossom tree. Just seeing the cherry blossom tree made me feel peaceful. All my worries seemed to disappear when I saw it. I looked at one of the branches; there were still cherry blossoms buried under the snow.

"Ne... Haruna..." (Hey... Haruna...) "Um? Dōshita Yoshimune." (Um? What is it, Yoshimune?) "Boku wa hoshī minna de sasou reunion kochira de, soshite miru na kore wa sakura hana," I began to express my feelings. (I want to invite everyone for a reunion here, and also to see these cherry blossoms,) "Um... atashi mo," Haruna agreed. (Um... Me too,)

Ten Years Later

Ten years had passed. The season had changed to spring. Haruna became a professional ballet dancer, poised to compete in an international competition in Tokyo. As for me, I became an actor in a private TV show about the Shinsengumi (Japanese police during the Edo period). I took this job because I was very interested in the world of filmmaking. My role was one of the Shinsengumi members. After filming, I had a visitor. It turned out to be my old friends from Indonesia and Haruna, who had just finished ballet practice. Ferry, Lili, Ario, Christian, Budi, and Nina came, while the Wushu Club members would come next month. When I tried to invite Halim and the others, they asked me to buy their tickets. Seriously. This time, two people were missing: Kevin and Wenny. Actually, five years ago, I received sad news: Kevin was in an accident during an A1 race, and Wenny committed suicide because she was raped by her colleague. It was incredibly tragic. I also visited their graves when I reunited with everyone in Indonesia.

"Oh, Minna (Everyone)!! You came too!!" "Of course, we saved up money to come here," Ferry said. "You're famous now, you know, there are so many of your posters," Lili said. "Sometimes I get angry because Yoshimune gets flirted with by women," Haruna pouted. "Aah~~~ Haruna~~~ Gomen (Sorry)~~~~," I became afraid of Haruna. "Frank, what's that outfit you're wearing?" Ario asked. "Don't you know? This is the Shinsengumi uniform." "I'm jealous of the Hakama you're wearing," Christian said, envious. I could only put on a bewildered expression when Christian also wanted the Hakama I was wearing. This time, my filming session was over. I invited the others to see the cherry blossoms. The kids had already gone ahead to the exit, while I held Haruna back.

"Haruna, ano... chotto machinasai." (Haruna, um... wait a moment.) "Hm, dōshite Yoshimune?" (Hm, why Yoshimune?) "Kore....," I opened a small box. (This....,) "Kirei na...." Haruna was enchanted by it. (Beautiful....,)

I gave her a diamond ring. I remembered today was Haruna's birthday. Even though I was busy filming, I still managed to make time for small things, like buying a ring for Haruna's birthday. I held Haruna's hand and put the ring on her finger. Haruna was happy to receive my gift.

"Otanjōbi omedetō, Haruna..." (Happy birthday, Haruna...) "Arigatō.... Yoshimune.... (Thank you.... Yoshimune....)"
