[World Info – Marvel x Magic AU Setup]

Before we begin the main story, I wanted to share a few important details about the world you're about to enter.

This is not the canon Marvel Universe. This is an alternate universe (AU) where magic exists long before the Age of Heroes, and the magical world has been shaped from the ground up by one man—Merlin.

This fanfiction blends elements from:

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)

All three Spider-Man film universes

Certain Marvel movies, comic and games for characterizations (for personality or backstory inspiration)

I've designed this AU with the goal of creating a slow-burn, emotionally grounded magical society that merges fantasy and superhero worlds in a way that still feels believable, fun, and character-driven.

About the Magical World

The magical world here is heavily inspired by the structure of the Harry Potter universe. There are:

Magical ministries in different countries

Creatures from across magical fiction (dragons, phoenixes, unicorns, etc.)

Magical schools, including a fully developed Hogwarts

A global Statute of Secrecy in place to protect the magical world from the non-magical one

However, expect differences in how magic works:

Wandless magic will become common in senior years

Spells, artifacts, and magical systems from other fantasy worlds (Narnia, Fantastic Beasts, Percy Jackson, and more) are all integrated into this world's magical evolution

Magic slows the aging process — sometimes dramatically. Skilled magic users often live much longer than non-magical people, and their bodies age at a slower rate. This doesn't mean immortality. It simply means that decades might pass while only a few years show on the surface. In the modern day, there are magic users who still appear young — even if their stories began long ago.

The magical culture is broader and more global than just one region or tradition

Hogwarts and the System

Hogwarts in this universe was created by Merlin with the help of a system. The system has a role, but it is not dominant. It does not give quests, power levels, or turn the story into a game. It simply supports the development of magic by providing knowledge, blueprints, and guidance.

To maintain the Hogwarts atmosphere, several professors from the original Harry Potter world have been "summoned" by the system. Their memories and personalities have been adjusted so they fully believe they have always existed in this world. You will see familiar names—perhaps with new roles or perspectives—but always true to the Hogwarts spirit.

Merlin's Role in the Story

While Merlin is the founder of the magical world, he won't be at the center of every battle or event. His role is closer to a legendary guide — a teacher, advisor, and protector, much like the Ancient One or Dumbledore.

He's not the one solving every problem. Instead, he's the one who helped build the world where others can rise — and occasionally nudges things back on course when the stakes are highest.

This gives space for Marvel characters to grow, struggle, and shine — while Merlin remains the constant force of wisdom and mystery behind it all.

About the Timeline

Although the magical world has existed in secret for centuries, it has remained hidden for a reason.

Merlin, the main character, understands that his greatest advantage — beyond magic — is his knowledge of the future. That's why he has chosen not to alter history in major ways. The events of the Marvel universe, for the most part, will unfold as expected.

But magic has a way of changing people.

Some characters will evolve differently. Some destinies may bend. Some tragedies might find hope again.

The future will not be rewritten entirely — but twisted ever so slightly by magic. Enough to matter, but not enough to erase what makes the Marvel universe what it is.

This story will start from before Marvel's canon timeline begins.

Rather than jumping straight into battles or world-ending threats, the early chapters will focus on:

Marvel characters discovering Hogwarts

Their reactions to magic, magical creatures, and this hidden world

How Hogwarts becomes a second home to characters who never truly had one

I want this to be a story about healing, growth, and transformation. Some characters will find the family and support they never got. Others will be challenged by magic in ways science never could. And yes, there will be humor, duels, mystery, and magical chaos.

Marvel Characters Joining Hogwarts

You can expect several well-known Marvel characters to appear in this story — not just as cameos, but as actual students growing up and learning magic in Hogwarts.

A few of them include:

Tony Stark – If there was a way to combine magic and tech, Tony found it — and probably blew something up testing it. His Hogwarts years were a blur of enchanted circuits, flaming cauldrons, and back-to-back detentions. Even now, he's been caught trying to breach the Statute of Secrecy more than once. Some things never change.

Pepper Potts – Calm, capable. She didn't need to be loud to be respected. Hogwarts remembers her quietly — and fondly.

T'Challa and Shuri – Royalty meets magical tradition. Their time in the magical world helped shape policies and progress long before the world saw them in costume.

Erik Killmonger (N'Jadaka) – Rivalries, clashes, and complicated beginnings. His time at Hogwarts wasn't simple — but it meant something. Some stories deserve another chance.

Stephen Strange – Hogwarts taught him more than magic. It tested his patience, sharpened his brilliance, and opened the first door to a path he never expected. The man he became started here.

Wanda and Pietro Maximoff – Their past was heavy. Their potential, greater. Magic didn't just empower them — it helped them understand who they were meant to be.

Peter Parker – Smart, awkward, and full of potential. He's definitely in over his head — and he's not alone.

Gwen Stacy, MJ, Harry Osborn, and Felicia Hardy – Expect drama, friendship, rivalry, and a lot of magical chaos.

More characters will appear as the magical world continues to grow.

If there's a Marvel character you'd love to see join Hogwarts — whether as a student or magical guest — feel free to leave a comment.

I can't promise every character will appear, but I'm always open to good ideas, and I'll definitely consider suggestions that fit the story's tone and timeline.
