Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Meeting Again By Chance?

Do you believe in destiny? It sounds quite vague, doesn't it? But have you ever heard the saying that in a past life, you had to look back 500 times to change this life with just one fleeting encounter?

"A hundred million raindrops fall, none fall in the wrong place.

Millions of people have met, no one is a coincidence." (1)

So when we happen to meet someone many times in this life, it is not just a hundred thousand bows from the past, but also heartfelt prayers from deep within to God.

" Lately, I haven't seen you so beautifully made up like this " - Eleanor stood outside the room, delightedly looking at me and said

" Today is really an important day for me. Can you wish me good luck, little one ? "

I gently pinched her chubby cheek and smiled with delight.

" Wish you good luck. Remember to buy snacks for me tonight. "

That's right, Eleanor loves potato chips the most. I hope today's interview goes well; I place all my trust and hope in the position of Nutritionist. Oh, I'm so nervous.

" Hello, thank you for coming to the interview today. First of all, could you introduce a little about yourself and the reason you want to apply for the nutritionist position at the Youth Intersection football center ?" - The interviewer asked me with a friendly look.

" Hello, thank you for taking the time to interview me. My name is Lily Hollis. I am currently a student majoring in fashion design, but even though I have not officially worked in the nutrition field, I do have some experience in caring for and advising others about their health. I have worked part-time at a small pharmacy and have also self-studied through books and articles about sports nutrition. I believe I can fulfill the duties to help the players achieve their highest performance." - My voice was trembling.

" How have you tried to apply your nutrition knowledge in real life?"

" I often support my friends - who are semi-professional athletes or gym-goers - in building meal plans before or after training and also when they need to recover from injuries. "

" Finally, what qualities do you think are necessary to perform well as a nutritionist ? "

" I think diligence, hard work, and quick learning are important. I also have good communication skills and can easily connect with others - which I think is quite important when working with athletes."

" Thank you for your sincere sharing. We will contact you soon to inform you of the results. Have a nice day."

Stepping out of the interview room with a mood that couldn't be worse. For someone without experience, who hasn't worked in the healthcare field, the chance of passing the interview is already 0.01%.

Anyway, it's all over now; I'm just looking around this center. It really is professional training; everything is very neatly arranged. The functional buildings are connected in a U-shape: medical room, gym, changing room, dining room, ... Looking down from above at the vast green field, the grass is lush. Can a football training center be this spacious?

"Hey, is the interview over? How did it go?"

It's that voice again; I'm starting to get haunted by it, Sister Kane.

"Are you really that worried to call so many times? I just finished the interview."

"Of course I'm worried; I get really scared when you go out."

"How about we meet up ?"

I hadn't even agreed when she hung up.

I'm about to be interrogated like a prisoner now.
