"Why are you sleeping by this time?? We're supposed to attack Ivy today, remember? All our plans and all?" A voice yelled just as hands were shaking Blair awake.
Blair felt groggy as she struggled to open her eyes, feeling like her eyes had been closed for a really long while. When her eyes opened, she stared up at the girl who had just woken her up, then she frowned in confusion because she didn't recognize this person.
She rolled into a sitting position, her eyes wandering around. She was in a room that had boy bands posters and other corny but edgy designs all over the walls.
Where am I? She thought as she massaged her eyes, just as the girl continued to speak.
"Raven, cmon! Where is your usual energy? Remember that we're supposed to stalk Micah today, right after attacking Ivy, so she won't be able to attend the party, then you'll try to seduce him again.
Blair frowned as she squinted at this girl, taking in her young face. She looked no older than eighteen, so why is she speaking to Blair who's almost thirty years old, like they're friends or something…
And did she just call her Raven??
Blair got to her feet, wondering how she got in this room that's giving serious emo and goth vibes.
That's the moment all her memories rushed back into her mind, the birthday, the betrayal from her husband and sister, the apocalypse, then she was abandoned… then she died.
Blair remembered dying, and the pain was one she'd never forget.
Which is why she's confused that she's alive right now, and she couldn't feel any pain in her body.
"Who are you? And why are you calling me Raven?" Blair demanded of this girl whose skirt barely covered her ass, her breasts spilling over the top of her shirt.
"Are you serious right now? Did you smoke too much pot this morning after skipping school?" The girl sighed almost fondly, sounding like this was a normal occurrence.
"You're Raven, obviously. And I'm your ride or die bitch, Carla. Is this another joke of yours?" This stranger demanded as she fished out a cigarette and lit it, then she took a big puff.
Blair's mind was reeling, cause the fuck? Skip school? She graduated a long time ago. And what was that about smoking? Blair has never smoked in her entire life… and did this stranger say that her name was Raven?
Her eyes squinted as she stared closely at this stranger.
Wasn't she too young to dress like this? Blair was still internally judging her when she glanced down at her own body and had the biggest shock right now, cause she's dressed in dark fishnets, a black garter belt, black leg warmers, a tiny black skirt, and…
What the fuck?
Blair blinked in confusion, then panic and confusion surged through her as she stumbled past this stranger, heading straight for the large mirror at the end of the room.
The image that stared back at her made her scream.
She didn't look like herself anymore. She was a completely different person.
What. The. Fuck.
"Girl?" This stranger called out wearily, but Blair ignored her. She was too shocked to comprehend the image she was presently staring at, and just like the girl she was just judging, her large boobs were spilling out of her tight crop top as well.
The fuck? Blair didn't even have boobs this large…
She didn't have blue eyes and blonde hair anymore. Her hair was bright pink, streaked with black ends and strands. As for her eyes, they were two different color: one was hazel, the other was greenish. She also looked young as hell, as young as the stranger who woke her up.
Blair closed her eyes, trying to comprehend what was happening, but nothing was coming to mind.
"Seriously, Raven, we're really gonna be late. If you don't roughen Ivy up, she'll be at the party tonight, then you'll not have a chance with Micah at all tonight." This girl, who was apparently named Carla, muttered while puffing out a whiff of smoke.
The sight of said cigarette irked Blair so much, and she had to fight the urge to yank it from the girl's grip and berate her for damaging her lungs like this.
But instead, Blair slowly walked back to the bed and numbly sat in it before she lost her footing from how much confusion she was currently feeling.
Her eyes fell on the calendar on the bedside table.
025-18-3399.
Blair blinked once, then twice. This year, it feels so familiar.
Year 3399? Before she died, it was the year 2025.
Did she get reborn in another universe?
She let her eyes wander around again, slowly taking in the room from the entrance of the room, stopping by the canopy of the bed she was presently sitting in, and that's when it also hit her that this room also looked familiar, but more realistic than she remembered.
Carla was talking about them going to attack someone named Ivy? And apparently, she went by Raven, not Blair. She was also supposed to try seducing someone named Micah…
These names feel familiar, but not quiet.
Her eyes caught something on the wall and Blair gasped as she flew to her feet. It was a necklace, one which she visibly remembered because she saw it countless times in one of favorite novels.
That's when it hit her square in the face, and she fell back in the bed, trembling from shock. Ivy, Micah, Carla, Raven…
She remembered where she knew those names from. It's from a popular manga, which is one of her favorites.
Titled: The Apocalypse and I.
Her eyes wandered around again, settling on that necklace, then it hit her.
She had reincarnated into that same novel that kept her up so much from how interesting it was. She never cared that she had to work the next day during that period.
So… she has reincarnated into that same manga.
That's still hard to believe, but since she's seeing all of this, there's no use denying the obvious, she decided within herself as she got up and headed over to the mirror again. At least it was a manga she loved so much.
Before the mirror, she ceased breathing as the last realization crashed into her like a truck.
She reincarnated into this manga, as Raven…
Raven.
Raven.
Raven.
She is Raven… the villianess of the manga.
Blair gasped from shock, then she glanced down at her clothes again, then at a smoking Carla casually scrolling through her phone. This outfit, this smoking friend, it all makes sense right now.
It's because she's now the villainess of her favorite story!
Blair felt like fainting, or crying.
Why couldn't she reincarnate as the main character that got a happily ever after?!
Why does it have to be as the villainess, who died in the hands of the male leads of this story?
In the manga, Raven was your typical villainess. She caused chaos wherever she went, earning her a bad reputation everywhere. She never got along with her family, because they hated her wayward lifestyle. But Raven didn't care, because her only goal in the novel was to chase after the four male leads in the story, whose love interest was Ivy, the gentle and kind female lead.
Raven antagonized Ivy so much, and was always trying to hurt her, because she wanted the four male leads to herself, even though they never wanted her in return.
At the end of everything, Raven faced a sad ending, because the male leads of the story killed her after she seriously hurt the female lead one time, by feeding her to monsters in the apocalypse, since they were all struggling in the apocalypse together in the same camp.
Blair let out a sigh, feeling like she was having a headache. What kind of wretched destiny was this?
After facing a terrible ending in her past life, she's destined for the same in this new life?
Blair thought hard, then she quickly came to a decision. Since she knows how this story ends, then that means she'll be able to avoid that unfortunate ending if she leaves Ivy alone and also stay away from the four male leads as well, right?
The more Blair thought about it, the more the plan made sense to her, then she found herself smiling and exhaling in relief.
She has found a way to save herself in this life, thankfully!
She didn't feel so doomed anymore. As she returned back to the bedside table, feeling drawn to that date, she ignored Carla calling out her name as she picked the calendar up.
025-18-3399.
That's exactly two weeks before the apocalypse that took place in this story, happened.
Blair stared hard at the date, then it hit her. If she starts preparing for the apocalypse right now, by the time it hits in two weeks, she'll be fully prepared, and she'll not have to struggle so much in the apocalypse like those who survived during the apocalypse in the story did.
By starting to stock up now, she'll be able to live comfortably in the apocalypse!
Blair was so happy. In her past life, she died by being torn apart by monsters. At least this time, she can change her fate.
Blair felt a little bummed that she died and transmigrated without being able to get revenge on the two people that betrayed her, and she wondered if they were presently surviving in the apocalypse, after leaving her to die.
She wondered if it would be selfish for her to wish that they also end up dying.
She suddenly wished she had some sort of magic. Cause if she had superpowers right now, she'd make them die and reincarnate into this story too, then that way, she'll be able to carry out a much deserved revenge on them.
But unfortunately, she doesn't.
Or so she thought… but she doesn't know that her exact wishes are about to come true…
