(The first half of the chapter will provide trivial background info of the MC. I wrote the second half only because I was idle, so feel free to ignore.)
"Uh, coming", I responded with my train of thoughts completely derailed I now realise that instead of focusing years into the future I should focus on my current living situation.
The woman who just called out should have been the caretaker of the orphanage, the same one who gave me the last name 'Armstrong'. As for how I know its her? I received a complete memory package after I drank the vial showing me the kid has lived in a auto-pilot state and that his personality wasn't anything remarkable. According to her, my birthday is on 2nd February.
Probably that entity had made this body as the vessel for my soul. This dispels the worries I had on whether my possession of this body did something bad to the original soul.
My current situation is like this, my caretakers name is Cecilia Armstrong who is a middle age woman with no children of her own and is in charge of taking care of three more kids.
Heading towards the dinning area according to my memories I see bread, some boiled eggs, butter and a jug of milk. Huh, pretty good for an orphanage.
"Adam, are you okay?", Cecilia asks thinking the black-haired boy was acting strange.
"It's nothing, I'm okay", I respond.
"Since you are fine go wash your hands", ordered by Madam Cecilia I went to the washroom, the only room other than the caretaker's which has a mirror.
Curious about my appearance in this new universe, I look in the mirror to see a black-haired boy with golden eyes. Other than the eyes everything else looks normal.
"Hmm, I could be considered as cute", I remark. Granted I'm not exactly an Adonis-like handsome boy who will make all the ladies fall in love in with him at the first sight like in the fanfics but rather someone who would be called charming.
That's much better, because I don't want to charm 11year old children like many protagonists do in the fanfics.
-(Break)-[1]
-30 minutes Later-
After having breakfast, I head back to my room which thankfully I don't have to share with anyone. God knows (or is it Merlin now?) what I would do to get a chance to think peacefully.
"Huh, I wonder who my parents are", that's a normal thought for an orphan to have, were they wizards? Did they die because of Death Eaters? If so, did they leave anything behind for me? Madam Cecilia told me or more accurately this body that I was left on the doorstep of the orphanage in the middle of the night with a piece of paper with my first name written on it.
"Yeah, they probably did have connection with the magical world", I say it out loud thinking my arrival in the orphanage perfectly coincides with the time when the wizarding war was at it's peak.
I wonder whether Gringotts offers an inheritance test service like in the fanfics, would it be like one of those stories where the main characters turns out to be the last living heir of almost all the lost and ancient families with an old marriage contract with heiresses of other noble families which he has to fulfil, or the main character is an heir of Slytherin who will have ownership over hundreds dark arts magic books and secrets and will use it to create businesses which will surpass all others.
Who knows?
