Chapter 1 - Order 66

Blaster fire is heard as blue energy bolts flew across the base. Two Jedi then burst through a door and run towards a set of Starfighters that laid on the tarmac. Clone Troopers exit the base and open fire upon the two Jedi. The Jedi Master named Val Tharuss quickly turned around and deflected the blaster bolts back at the Clone Troopers. This effort kills two of them, but the others kept firing.

"Draven! Get to the ship!" Val ordered as he deflected blaster bolts.

The Jedi Padawan named Draven Kest stopped running and turned to his master. Val unleashed a mighty Force Push upon the Clones knocking them down before he turned and rushed to Draven. Val grabbed Draven's arm and urgently guided him to their starships. The Clones picked themselves up and continued shooting at the two Jedi. They both reach the Jedi Starfighters and as Draven begins to climb into his, Val is hit in the side causing him to fall to a knee. Val quickly fights it and gets back up before he deflects more Blaster Bolts. Draven was about to enter the cockpit but saw his master get shot.

"Master!" Draven shouted.

"I'm fine Draven!" Val said through gritted teeth as he deflects blaster bolts coming his way. "Get in your ship and get out of here!"

"No! Not without you!" Draven said, not wanting to leave his master behind.

"GO!" Val shouted back at him, before he charged at the Clones.

Draven hesitated heavily before he caved in and turned off his lightsaber. He got into the cockpit of his fighter and powered up his ship. Val deflected bolt after bolt before he arrived at the Clones. He front kicks one Clone back before he cut down another and beheads another. He then twirled his lightsaber and deflected more blaster bolts before he unleashed a Force Push towards the group of Clones knocking them back. He then slashed his lightsaber to the right and not only deflected a blaster bolt but also cut down a Clone Trooper. He then lunged forward and thrusts his lightsaber blade into the chest of a clone before using that clone's body to block several blaster bolts.

Draven gets his ship powered up and it lifts up off the ground before it blasts off and gains altitude. Val pulls his blade out of the clone and grabbed the trooper's blaster before he used it to gun down two Clones. He blocks a blaster bolt without looking before he kicks a clone back who got close. He spun around and slashed down on the clone killing them. A blaster bolt then struck him in the back making him turn around and block more bolts coming his way, but he was once again shot from behind. This time in the leg causing him to fall to a kneeling position. More blaster bolts hit him before he drops fully to his knees and let go of his lightsaber. It turns off before it hit the ground. Val then fell forward and laid there lifelessly.

As Draven exited the planet's atmosphere, he sensed his master's demise, but he fought against the tears and focused. He sped past any Clone owned ship in orbit and prepared to make a random jump to hyperspace. Clone Starfighters chased after him and he had to dodge their fire before his ship had a lock on some coordinates. Draven then makes the jump to Hyperspace. His ship takes a second before entering hyperspace causing him to see the swirling blue tunnel of hyperspace. He then released the breath he didn't know he was holding and thought about what happened today. It was another day in the Clone Wars; Draven and his Master were tasked with destroying Separatist Forces on the planet to make way for a further Republic assault force. It was all going well, the Separatist were being pushed back further and further, but then they got a new order. Something called Order 66 and after that, the Clones began shooting at Draven and his master Val.

Draven wondered why the Clones started shooting at them and what Order 66 was. He guessed Order 66 was an order to kill the Jedi, but who would give it? Why would they give it? The Jedi don't deserve this, sure they aren't perfect and far from the best, but genocide shouldn't be the answer. It confused him to no end and upset him. Thought, he was prepared for these things, at least he hoped so. He's 17 years old and has been a Jedi his entire life. Always striving to be the best Jedi he could possibly become. His master, Val Tharuss, was a respectful man. Never raising his voice, always calm minded and kind to all. So, it pained him to know that his master was gone. Killed by the soldiers they had fought alongside for years.

None of it made sense. Why was this happening? What went wrong? More and more questions swirl in his mind before he's thrown out of his thoughts by an aggressive beeping sound from his ship. He is suddenly pulled out of Hyperspace, and he's face to face with a massive rift. It glowed brightly, not as bright as a sun, but damn near close. Draven's eyes widened before he quickly turns his ship around to fly away but the rift had a gravitational pull on his ship. Pulling him closer and closer to the rift. As he tried to fight against it, he kept failing. So, he braced for the worse and closed his eyes. The light from the rift became blinding and he had to shield his shut eyes. After the light consumes his cockpit, it immediately died, confusing him.

He lowers his arms and opens his eyes. He then panicked as he grabbed the controls and swerved around a space rock. He did more maneuvers before he cleared the debris of... a moon? He was confused before he saw a planet in front of him. He then hears beeping from his ship, and he tries to figure out what was causing it. He finds it and bad news. He suffered damage somehow. Must've been that rift. He uses what control he has to fly to the planet, hopefully he can at least land. But as he enters the atmosphere, he begins to lose control of his ship. He struggles to maintain control. Once he passes the clouds, he sees a forest area beneath. He curses to himself as he braces for a hard landing. As the ground gets closer, he tried to regain control but couldn't, so he closed his eyes and braced once again for the worst. He feels the ship hit the ground and it hit so hard that Draven is knocked out cold from the impact.
