Synopsis
Synopsis Good news: I was reincarnated! In this second life, I'm determined to live freely and at ease, with all the money and women I could ever want. Bad news: I was reborn into the world of Naruto. Worse, I'm completely ordinary. No special bloodline, no prestigious clan, and no resources. I have "cannon fodder" written all over me. Good news: I have a cheat ability! Does it let me cash in on the future? Overdraft my potential? Simulate what's to come? Whatever it is, I'll use it! By using the future to empower the present, and the present to decide the future, I'll step on my own feet to spiral into the heavens. You think I'm only twenty years old? My apologies, but this one has already lived for several hundred years! Not enough chakra? I have future templates from hundreds of years of growth. No access to powerful ninjutsu? I'll acquire and develop them for free in the future! In the future, anything is possible! What's that? Madara Uchiha has arrived piloting a giant mech? It matters not. The Ice Shinobi is here—what is there to fear! Kaguya Otsutsuki has been unsealed? "Kaguya-sama, why don't we sit down and have a talk? I can help you take care of that ungrateful son of yours, the Sage of Six Paths. How about we roam the stars together afterward?" What, you're not willing? "Well then, pardon me for not being a gentleman, but don't blame me for using force!" Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Impossible, Absolutely Impossible!

Chapter 1: Impossible, Absolutely Impossible!

Konoha Year 41, March 18th.

"Shoot, shoot, shoot..."

A goggles-wearing Uchiha Obito sprinted frantically towards the Ninja Academy. But by the time he arrived, the teachers were already taking down the banner for the entrance ceremony, and the students who attended were already scattering.

He was late!

Missing the entrance ceremony meant that even if he passed the assessment, he wouldn't be able to enter the Ninja Academy. He would have to wait another year.

Obito's shoulders slumped in defeat.

Just then, Kakashi, who was walking past him with a scarf around his neck and his admission papers tucked under his arm, suddenly stopped. He glanced back slightly. "To be late for an occasion this important... someone like that isn't qualified to enter this school. You're finished."

As he spoke, Kakashi spread his hands in a shrug.

Obito turned his head, gritting his teeth as he glared at the coolly talking Kakashi. This bastard really knows how to get on my nerves.

And at that moment, an angelic voice rang out.

"It's alright, I picked these up for you!"

Obito turned to see Nohara Rin, a gentle smile on her face as she held out a set of documents.

In that instant, the girl's smile was etched deep into his heart. A blush appeared on Obito's face. He clapped his hands together and grinned, "Thanks for the help! I owe you one, thank you so much!"

Nohara Rin smiled back. "You don't have to be so formal."

Up ahead, Kakashi glanced back at the scene, pursed his lips, and then walked away with his hands in his pockets.

Not far away, under a tree by the roadside, Kinoshita Genichi took in this classic scene, feeling a strange sense of having witnessed a historical moment.

His family name was Kinoshita, and his given name was Genichi.

In reality, for the past three generations, his family had no surname at all. Of course, the name "Kinoshita" wasn't one Genichi chose himself, but one his father gave him.

Because he held high hopes for his son, and to commemorate the spot where he and his wife had fallen in love—under a tree—he used "Kinoshita" (under the tree) as his son's surname.

So typically Japanese.

However, although his father claimed it was a decision made after long consideration, Genichi knew he had definitely come up with the name on the very day Genichi passed the academy entrance exam.

Turning to walk home, Kinoshita Genichi focused his attention on the mysterious and splendid ball of purple light in his mind.

This was what he saw this morning when his past life's consciousness awakened. The classic cheat ability that every reincarnator gets. Perfectly normal.

He had been too busy with the entrance ceremony to study it until now.

"I can cash in on the future ahead of time?"

Genichi grasped the information flowing from the purple orb of light.

"Advance my future achievements? Like getting a salary advance?"

"No, that's not right. This should be called an overdraft, shouldn't it?"

"That's not it either... it seems I don't have to pay it back."

Genichi mused to himself, "Still, this cheat ability is a bit abstract. It would be better if it were more straightforward."

As he thought this, the purple orb suddenly changed, unfurling to form a panel.

The panel was incredibly simple, with only two options on it.

[Overdraft: Ten Years into the Future]

[Overdraft: One Hundred Years into the Future]

Of these two options, only "[Overdraft: Ten Years into the Future]" was glowing with a purple light. The other one was grayed out.

"Nice, nice, this has a much cooler feel to it!"

Genichi was secretly delighted, and a new thought arose. "An explanation would be nice."

The next moment, a line of text appeared on the panel.

[Note: The overdraftable future includes achievements and experience in all areas, such as ninjutsu, but does not include memories.]

"It doesn't include memories, huh... That's fine. Even though I can't remember much of the plot, now that a reincarnator like me has shown up, a lot of the so-called 'plot' will change anyway."

"However, intel on many people and events won't change. Even without future memories, it's not a big deal."

"The key is the ninjutsu, and... the experience!"

Genichi was secretly thrilled. To be honest, when his past-life memories awakened and he realized he was in the world of Naruto, he had been terrified.

The world of Naruto was not a place where a normal person could survive, especially a hellhole like Konoha. Although it was blessed by fortune, it was also fraught with peril.

Furthermore, becoming a ninja was an extremely dangerous profession in itself. Regular missions were one thing, but the Great Ninja Wars were cataclysmic events.

Of course, he could choose not to be a ninja.

But compared to being a powerless civilian in the face of disaster, Kinoshita Genichi was much more willing to become a ninja and take a gamble!

With a cheat ability, I'm a cheater too!

Filled with anticipation, Genichi quickened his pace.

When he got home, his father and mother were busy working.

His family ran a dango shop; the shop was downstairs, and their home was on the second floor.

"Dad, Mom, I'm back! The entrance ceremony went smoothly!"

Kinoshita Genichi waved the papers in his hand and then zipped upstairs.

Genichi's father watched his son go upstairs with a smile, his heart finally at ease. "Our family finally has another ninja!"

Genichi's mother, however, looked a little worried. "Being a ninja is very dangerous."

His father laughed. "Don't worry, the Great Ninja War is over. By the time Genichi graduates, he'll take on simple missions. It will be very safe."

Although he had high hopes for his son, those hopes were merely for him to become a ninja.

A Genin was good enough.

If he could become a Chunin, that would be a huge surprise.

As for a Jonin... he didn't dare to think about it. Not at all!

There hadn't been a single Jonin in their family for three generations.

...

Returning to his bedroom, Kinoshita Genichi immediately lay down on his bed, closed his eyes, and focused on the overdraft panel.

"The results of ten years of training, plus the experience from that training, even combat experience, mission experience, and all sorts of knowledge..."

"Ten years from now, I'll be fifteen. As a reincarnator, even if I'm not Kage-level, Super-Kage, or Six Paths-level, becoming a Jonin shouldn't be a problem, right?"

"Come on, my future ten years, show me what you've got!"

Kinoshita Genichi made his choice: Overdraft ten years into the future.

In an instant, the panel once again transformed into a purple orb of light. A brilliant flash erupted, illuminating every single one of Genichi's cells.

At that moment, Genichi's mind went blank, but his body felt as if an electric current was passing through it. Every inch of muscle, every cell, trembled.

An unknown amount of time passed before Genichi's consciousness returned. He felt as if he had just woken from a six-year-long dream.

Wait, why six years?

Kinoshita Genichi's eyes shot open. "Don't tell me... I die after only six years?"

"Also, aside from the three basic Academy Jutsu and a fundamental Body Flicker Technique, why is there only a single Water Release ninjutsu, the Water Shockwave?"

"Is this what a Jonin is supposed to have?!"

He shot up from the bed, his face turning green.

So, after ten years, I'm only a Genin?

And I might even die after six?

Impossible!

Absolutely impossible!

Even if this body's aptitude is average, with my knowledge of the plot, how could I end up so pathetic?

Never mind anything else, the Sexy Jutsu, Harem Jutsu, and even the Rasengan shouldn't have been a problem, right?

Kinoshita Genichi absolutely could not accept this reality.

Just then, a new notification appeared on the restored panel in his mind.

[The future is not set in stone.]

[The present determines the future.]
