Chapter 2 - chapter one: Woke Up With a Pregnant Husband?!

Yu Lin had faced death before. She'd stood atop mountains of corpses, slashed through swarms of evolved zombies, and stared into the abyss more times than she could count. So when her body finally gave out—bloodied, broken, buried under rubble—she expected nothing. No afterlife. No peace. Just… silence.

What she did not expect was to wake up in a silk-covered bed, surrounded by panicked voices.

"Madam! You're finally awake!" a maid shrieked, nearly dropping a bowl of herbs.

Yu Lin blinked. Her limbs felt oddly light, her wounds gone, the air too fragrant.

Another voice barged in. "Your wife is giving birth!"

"...What?" Yu Lin croaked, voice hoarse.

Before she could demand an explanation, a hand grabbed hers and yanked her from the bed. Her instincts kicked in—she nearly elbowed the poor maid in the jaw. But then—

Bounce.

She looked down. Two round, very alive breasts sat proudly on her chest.

"…I'm a woman again?"

She dove her hand beneath the nightgown.

More confirmation.

Definitely a woman.

Yu Lin's head spun. The last time she was fully female, she'd been sixteen—before her spiritual core shattered and her sect reforged her body into a genderless vessel of war.

"What the hell is going on—?"

But her question was drowned out as she was dragged through a hallway, shoved into a warm, incense-scented room—

And confronted with a half-naked man screaming in labor.

"AHHHHH! IT HURTS—!"

Yu Lin froze.

The man on the bed was ethereal—soft silver hair clung to his forehead, sweat-drenched skin glowing like porcelain, his round belly contracting violently.

"Push, Young Master Mo! Just one more push!"

Her brain short-circuited.

Young Master Mo?

Isn't that a man?!

Then it hit her.

He's giving birth?

She blacked out.

---

When she came to again, a warm cloth was dabbing her forehead. A blurry face came into view—long, red hair, and a glare sharp enough to cut steel.

"You fainted. Pathetic," he muttered, arms crossed.

Yu Lin groaned. "Who… are you?"

"The second husband," he snapped. "Wen Yu. Remember it."

"Husband?" she echoed. "I have… husbands?"

"You have three," came another voice, calm and soothing.

A third man stepped forward, robes crisp and long hair tied with a silk ribbon. He gave her a small smile.

"I'm Xian Lei. Your third husband. The baby's father is Mo Chen, your first."

Yu Lin sat up so fast her vision spun.

In her world, romance had no place. Marriage was meaningless. Children were liabilities. But here—this body, this life—she had not one, but three husbands?

She swung her legs off the bed.

"You're joking."

"I wish we were," Wen Yu muttered. "Ever since you hit your head last week, you've been acting insane."

"Last week…?"

That's when it hit her.

She hadn't just been healed.

She'd transmigrated.

Into a matriarchal world. In a noblewoman's body. Married to three ridiculously good-looking men—one of whom had just pushed out a baby while crying her name.

Yu Lin pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Well," she muttered. "At least there are no zombies."
