Chapter 1 - When Hates Fall in Love

Chapter 1: Blood in the Rain

"Stories written in blood are never forgotten… especially when hate burns brighter than tears."

⚔️

The night was soaked in screams and fire.

The kingdom of Elarion was falling, one wall at a time. Lightning split the skies as thunder echoed like a war drum. Sheya, just sixteen, stood frozen — her eyes fixed on the blood pooling beneath her father's lifeless body.

His crown lay shattered beside him.

Across the courtyard stood King Viraj, the man who had ordered the slaughter… and beside him, his son.

Raajveer.

Their eyes met for only a moment — but in that moment, Sheya swore a vow that would shape her fate.

"I'll see you fall the same way I did… broken, alone, drowning in loss."

She did not cry. She burned.

🔥 Ten Years Later

The fire within her never died. Now, Sheya was no longer a grieving girl. She was a warrior — the strongest in the Darkblade Academy, feared and respected.

When the royal orders came for a mission into the Shadow Crystal Forest, she accepted — until she read the name of her partner.

Raajveer.

Cold. Unforgiving. Prince of the man who destroyed her world.

As she stepped into the camp, their eyes locked again.

No sword was drawn.

Not yet.

But the war between them… had just begun.

📖 Chapter 2: Jungle of Whispers

"In a place where silence speaks, even buried hatred finds its voice."

The Whispering Jungle wasn't marked on any map. Legends said the trees whispered the deepest fears of those who entered. Sheya thought it was just a story.

Until she heard the voice.

"You failed your father…"

Sheya froze mid-step.

"You stood and watched…"

The voice was everywhere, in the wind, in the leaves, in her mind.

Her sword shook slightly in her grip. Not because of fear—no, Sheya didn't fear the jungle. She feared the memories.

A cold hand grabbed her arm.

"You're losing control," Raajveer said, his voice low and stern.

Sheya yanked her arm away, glaring at him.

"Don't touch me."

Raajveer didn't flinch. "This forest preys on emotion. If you fall apart now, you'll never get out."

"I've survived worse," she snapped.

"I know. That's why you're here," he replied, softer than she expected.

They moved forward, side by side, silence growing louder with every step. The jungle grew darker. The whispers deeper.

"Monster… murderer… failure…"

Raajveer's jaw clenched. Sheya glanced at him, sensing he was hearing his own demons.

Something was wrong. The ground trembled slightly.

Suddenly, a vine shot out from the undergrowth, wrapping around Sheya's leg and dragging her off the path.

She screamed once.

Then silence.

Raajveer didn't hesitate. His blade flashed, slicing the vine clean in one strike. He caught Sheya just before she hit the ground.

Their faces were inches apart.

"Why… did you save me?" she whispered, breathless."You should've let me fall."

Raajveer's expression was unreadable.

"I don't leave people behind… even those who hate me."

For the first time, Sheya didn't have a response.

The whispers faded.

But something else began.

📖 Chapter 3: Secrets at Midnight

"The deepest cuts are made by truths left unspoken."

The jungle slept.

But Sheya couldn't.

She sat near the campfire, sharpening her blade in silence. Her mind kept circling one thing: Raajveer had saved her. Again. But why?

Behind her, boots crunched against the leaves.

"You always this quiet?" Raajveer asked, his voice breaking the silence.

Sheya didn't turn.

"You always this nosy?"

He smirked. "Only when I'm suspicious."

She paused. "Suspicious of what?"

"Of why a warrior like you looks at me like I murdered her soul."

Silence.

The fire crackled. Shadows danced on their faces.

"Because you did," Sheya said coldly. "Your father killed mine. You watched it happen."

Raajveer's expression shifted — the smirk gone.He stepped closer. For the first time, his voice didn't sound arrogant. It sounded… tired.

"You think I wanted that? You think I had a choice?"

Sheya stood up, facing him. Eyes locked. Blades of memory between them.

"You watched him die. That's all I remember."

"Then you remember wrong," Raajveer said, softly. "I wasn't there when your father fell. I was locked in chains — a prisoner in my own castle."

Sheya's eyes narrowed.

"Liar."

"Believe what you want. But I lost my freedom the same night you lost your father."

A long pause.

Sheya stepped back, her voice shaken.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because maybe… hating me isn't as simple as you thought."

Then he turned and walked away, leaving Sheya with a storm in her heart.

The jungle whispered again.

This time… it didn't sound like her enemy.

📖 Chapter 4: The Crystal Trap

"Magic reveals not just secrets… but feelings we never meant to show."

The forest floor shimmered.

They had followed the map deep into the jungle, past cursed stones and whispering trees, until they reached a clearing filled with glowing mist. In its center, the Shadow Crystal floated mid-air, spinning slowly, humming with power.

Sheya stepped forward.

"That's it," she whispered. "The crystal."

Raajveer held up his hand.

"Wait—"

Too late.

As Sheya's boot touched the mist, the ground pulsed — and in an instant, vines of blue light shot up around them, forming a dome of energy.

They were trapped.

The crystal's hum grew louder. Symbols appeared in the air, pulsing with old magic.

"What is this?" Sheya snapped.

"A memory prison," Raajveer said grimly. "The crystal is protected by a spell that forces you to relive what haunts you the most."

The light darkened.

Suddenly, the dome flickered — and the world around Sheya changed.

She stood in the burning courtyard again. Her father's body. Blood. Screams. But this time, she saw something new.

A figure in chains, dragged away in the shadows.

Raajveer.

She gasped.

When she opened her eyes, the forest returned. The dome faded. She dropped to her knees, breathing hard.

"You weren't lying…" she whispered.

Raajveer knelt beside her.

"No. But you wanted to hate me so badly, you never looked for the truth."

She looked at him. Eyes filled with questions, guilt… and something else.

"Then why do you act like you don't care?"

"Because caring makes people weak," he said. "And I can't afford to be weak around you."

Sheya didn't reply.

But for the first time, the space between them didn't feel like a battlefield.

It felt like a bridge.

📖 Chapter 5: Bound by Fire

"When two flames burn too close, one is bound to consume the other…"

The magic trap was gone — but its weight still lingered between them.

Sheya stood silently as Raajveer tightened the straps on his blade. Neither spoke. The jungle had grown eerily quiet, as if holding its breath.

"We need to move," Raajveer said, not looking at her.

"Back the way we came?" Sheya asked.

"No. We're not alone anymore."

Just then — a loud roar echoed through the trees.

The ground shook. Trees bent. From the mist emerged a Beast of Smoke and Flame, its body made of molten rock, eyes burning like embers.

Sheya drew her blade.

"Is this your idea of company?"

"It's called a Fyralynx," Raajveer said. "It guards ancient magic."

"Then let's make it regret that job."

The beast lunged. Sheya dodged left, Raajveer rolled right. For the first time, they fought together — like fire and lightning. Blades flashed. Sparks flew.

Sheya slashed its leg; Raajveer stabbed its chest.

But it kept coming.

"We need to hit it from both sides — at the same time!" Raajveer shouted.

Sheya nodded. Their eyes met — no words needed.

One breath.Two blades.One strike.

The Fyralynx roared and shattered into ashes.

The forest went silent.

Sheya dropped to one knee, panting. "That… was new."

Raajveer leaned against a tree, wiping blood from his lip.

"You're better than the rumors said."

"You're not as cold as you pretend," Sheya replied, almost smiling.

Raajveer looked at her — really looked.

"Careful. That sounded like a compliment."

"Shut up," she said, turning away, but her lips curved.

The tension was still there. The pain. The past.

But now, so was something else.
