*At the Monastery, the ninja watch as Cole plays Lava Zombies.*
"Get the guy on the left!" said Lloyd as Cole smashes the zombie on the left, then to the right.
"Cole, you're on fiyah!" said Kai while Cole smashes the last zombie and the game finishes.
"Oh, you did it!" said Nya.
"Woohoo!" Cole cheered.
"Alright!" said Kai.
"Yeah! High score!" said Lloyd.
"That was awesome!" said Kai.
"Woohoo! Lava Zombie King!" said Cole.
"Alright, Cole!" The ninja continue cheering as Jay comes in.
"Aw, man, we missed it!" said Jay.
"Congratulations, Cole. That is quite an achievement." said Zane.
"Thanks, buddy. No hard feelings?" said Cole.
"Of course not." said Zane.
Cole sighs and rubs his arm. "Good, because my arm is pretty sore."
"I'm sore just from watching." said Nya.
"Know what I'm thinking?" Kai asked.
The ninja jump up and cheer. "Hoooooooooot tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuub!!!!"
"Seriously guys? A hot tub, Master Wu isn't gonna be happy about it." said Nova who had just walked in, with her arms crossed and a raised eyebrow staring at them.
"Aww, come on Nova, we've all needed some time to relax, and I'm sure Master Wu wouldn't mind." said Lloyd, walking over smiling.
Nova gave him a deadpan look, clearly she wasn't amused and since she knew what was coming. She was glad she hadn't stopped being active, as she didn't want to become Wu's target like the rest of the ninja. Mostly not from that fricking chicken.
"Say what you want, Lloyd, but I'm not getting into this. I have other things to focus on." said Nova as she went on to leave but was stopped when Lloyd grabbed her wrist.
"Come on, Nova, even you need a break. I mean, you haven't taken any for some time now, even with everything that has happened. Why not just this once, come and join us in the hot tub." said Lloyd, giving a soft smile hoping she would change her mind.
Nova sent him a small glare. "Greenie, as fun as that sounds, I'm not up for it."
"Oh no....the lovebirds are fighting again, I thought they were over that." said Kai.
"Clearly not by the looks of it." said Cole.
"Please, by the First Spinjitzu Master, I don't think I can handle seeing them having another fight." said Jay.
"I believe they will keep having fights, for the rest of their lives." said Zane.
Nya let out a small sigh as she facepalms and walks over to them. "Lloyd, how about you guys go on ahead, while I have a small talk with Nova."
Lloyd and Nova looked at each other, then over at Nya, both giving the same confused owl like look. "....Okay." said Lloyd before giving Nova a kiss on the cheek as he and the others left the room.
Nova was still looking confused at Nya, not sure what she wanted to talk to her about, while blushing a little from the kiss.
Nya made a quick check on the boys, making sure they weren't listening in on girl talk. Since with how curious they all looked, it wouldn't be a surprise if they were still around. But luckily, they had all left.
"Okay, spill it Nova, what is the real reason you don't wanna join us in the hot tub?" Nya asked not cutting any corners.
"What other reasons would I have, besides not being up for it Nya? I also do have some projects that I actually need to work on." said Nova.
"I believe the actual reason you don't wanna join us in the hot tub, is Lloyd." said Nya, growing a smirk on her face as she placed her hands on her hips.
Nova started blushing a little. "What reason would that be with Lloyd?" She asked, already trying to find a way to get out of this situation.
Nya's smirk only seemed to grow, which didn't make it better for Nova. "I think you are too shy to see Lloyd shirtless, along with being in the hot tub together." She said in a teasing tone.
Nova's face was now red as a tomato as she started thinking about that, but quickly tried to shake it away. "N-no.....m-maybe...anyway, that isn't the actual reason Nya." She said with a small sigh.
"...I still have my scars from that day on the Dark Island....I don't want you guys to see them.....it only brings back....bad memories." said Nova, wrapping her arms around herself with a sad expression.
Nya gave her a sympathetic look, walking over and giving her a hug. "Hey, it's okay Nova, you know the guys wouldn't judge you or think anything bad about you, just because of some old scars. Mostly not Lloyd, after everything you guys have been through, he is probably the last person who would think any other of you."
Nova accepted the hug with a heavy sigh. "...I know.....but I still don't like anyone seeing them."
"That's alright, take all the time you need." said Nya, slowly pulling out of the hug. "I'll go and catch up with the boys, if you change your mind, you know where to find us." She gave a soft smile before then leaving to follow the others.
Nova let out a small sigh, thinking about whatever if she should join them or not, until the thought of Lloyd came up, and her face was turning red once again. "Aaaargh! By the motherfucking Overlord, why did she have to put that into my head now." She mumbled, covering her face with her hands.
But for a moment she got a chilling feeling going up her spine, as she looked around, keeping her guard up as she switched both of her gauntlets until blade mode. Nova wasn't sure where it was coming from, but it was felt very close to the point it was sending fear into her core.
"...Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck! I haven't felt anything for these last few years since back in season four, and only now I'm getting that sick evil feeling again." Nova growled, looking around at the shadows, nervous with her blades ready for anything.
Then the door to the room opened wide up. Nova, acting without thinking, quickly swung her blades at whoever it was. Only for the blade to be blocked by a staff. "What kind of greeting is this, Nova?" asked Wu that had just walked in.
Nova, who was breathing a bit heavily, started to calm down as the feeling went away, and seeing that it was just Wu, helped her calm down. "Sorry, Master Wu, I didn't hear you coming." She turned off the blade mode on her gauntlets.
"Clearly not with how shaken you look like. What has gotten you so frighten?" Wu asked, looking at her with concern.
Nova looked over at the shadows before taking a deep breath. "It's nothing...just thought back to a nightmare I had." She said with a small smile.
Wu looked at her with a questionable look, while stroking his beard. "Really? But shouldn't your plushie be keeping those away?" He asked, as he didn't believe she was telling the whole truth.
Nova rubbed the back of her neck. "Well, for these last few weeks I've been trying to sleep without it, as I wanna be able to sleep without relying on it all the time. Like in the past." She explained, which was truth, she had been trying to sleep without it. Since she wanted to just sleep with no worries.
"Hmmmm, I see. Well, I'm impressed you've gotten this far. To the point now, of wanting to sleep without it." said Wu.
Nova nodded with a small smile. "Oh yeah, if you are looking for the ninja, they aren't here." She said, wanting to change the subject.
"Yeah, I can clearly see that. But perhaps you can tell me where they are." said Wu.
"Hmmmm, only if you wanna make a deal, Master Wu." said Nova with a smirk on her face.
"No deals Nova." said Wu, bonking her head with his staff.
"Ouch! you didn't have to hit me with your staff, you could have simply said no." said Nova, rubbing her head. "They are using the Bell of Divinity as a hot tub."
"What!?" shouted Wu, now with anger.
"Sorry, guys, but I really don't wanna be Wu's target for all of his traps. Mostly not with that chicken." Nova thought while looking at Wu that was already heading to where the ninja was. "Wait up, Master!" She quickly ran after him to catch up.
*Scenery changes to the ninja jumping in the hot tub.*
Nya winks at her brother. "Kai, a little heat, please."
"But of course." Kai summons a flame, and sticks it in the water. The ninja laugh and sigh happily.
Cole slurps from his guzzler hat. "Ah, this is the life!"
Kai stretches. "We heard it, pal. Fighting all those bad guys, saving Ninjago." The ninja looks up as a crash is heard.
"I can't believe we're back to this." said Wu. Lloyd passes gas, shrugs and looks at Wu and then Nova. Wu stares at him in disgust while Nova facepalm.
"What?" Lloyd asked.
"After every big victory, you get lazy, complacent, careless." said Wu.
"Uh, that is not true!" Kai drinks his soda.
"Says the guy drinking his soda." said Nova, crossing her arms.
Cole stretches his arm out. "We're recovering. We're resting our muscles."
"What muscles?" Nova asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It was months ago." said Wu.
"Months? Really?" said Nya.
"Are you sure?" Cole asked.
"Yes!" shouted Wu and Nova in unison.
"Well, well, who's counting?" Kai puts his hand above his head innocently.
"I am! Look at yourselves!" Wu pokes his staff at Lloyd's stomach. "You've gone soft." Points his staff at Jay and Zane. "You do nothing all day, but play video games, and eat cake." Smacks Cole's sandwich down. "And soak in this... this..."
Cole looks around the water. "Hot tub?"
".....Bruh." Nova once again facepalm herself with a sigh.
Wu enraged. "It's not a hot tub! It's the sacred Bell of Divinity. Out! Out! All of you!" The ninja all complain at once. "Emergency meeting in the monastery. In three minutes!" He said as he leaves.
"Told you that Wu wouldn't be happy about it." said Nova, shaking her head.
"You told him where we were!? traitor!" shouted Jay pointing dramatically at her.
"Hey, this is on you guys being all lazy, at least I didn't get in trouble." said Nova.
".....She used her future sight, she knew this was gonna happen." said Kai.
"Hey I warned you about this, but did any of you listen, noooo. So the blame is on you." said Nova and began walking towards the monastery with the others.
"Did you really have to tell him where we were?" Lloyd asked, walking over to her, but Nova made very sure to stay a few meters away, while not looking at him for good reason that she will still curse Nya for.
"He was gonna ask me whatever or not, and even if I didn't tell him it. He would still find you, but then I would be in the same boat as you." said Nova.
"So you told him to save your own skin?" Lloyd asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Hmm maaaaybe." said Nova in a teasing tone.
"Well, that's not nice. I thought my girlfriend would at least have our backs, since ninja stick together no matter what." said Lloyd, wrapping an arm around her, pulling her a bit closer.
Nova began blushing as she was still getting used to them being girlfriend and boyfriend, along with calling each other that. It didn't help with her growing red face with how close she was to a still fucking shirtless Lloyd.
"N-not this time Lloyd, I'm not gonna get myself into you guys' mess, just because I'm your girlfriend." said Nova, leaning a bit away from him, still blushing. "My god, how did this bratty kid, become such a fucking charmer. By the motherfucking Overlord, please kill me."
"And here I thought we were a team, having each other's back like the old times." said Lloyd with a sigh.
Nova rolled her eyes knowing very well, he was pulling that trick of how they were when still little kids. "Sorry, but that's the way the cookie crumbles."
*The ninja are chatting in the Monastery.*
Wu points at Zane. "You have become soft, lazy," Throws Cole's sandwich into the air. "flabby."
"Okay, that's getting a tad personal." said Cole.
"...Oh boy." Nova mumbled as she had been able to move away from the others, so she hopefully wouldn't become another target.
"Nobody has gone soft, Master Wu." said Lloyd as Cole slurps his guzzler. "I promise you. We are in perfect condition." Cole burps.
"Doesn't look like it to me." Nova mumbled while trying not to giggle.
Wu spins around. "Silence!" The ninja line up. "Since ancient times, the hills around this Monastery have been populated by a species of highly aggressive predator. The first monks built the walls extra tall to keep them out. They failed." A box shakes. "Many monks were lost."
"What's in the box?" Jay asked.
"In order to survive, the monks became faster, stronger, more cunning. They evolved into ninja. To this day, it is a test that every ninja must face." said Wu.
"Uhhh. Test?" Cole slurps his guzzler.
"Good luck." said Nova, already moving closer to the door.
"To prove their courage, they must survive five minutes in a room with one of these." Wu removes the lock from the box, throws it away past the ninja, and leaves the room along with Nova. The ninja stares worriedly as the box opens slowly and reveals a Chicken.
Chicken clucks. "Bwa-bwak!"
Cole gasps, then chuckles. "He had me going there for a sec."
The ninja smile at each other happily. "Who knew Wu had a sense of humor?" said Jay as the Chicken explodes into lightning and attacks the ninja as they scream.
"Ouch!"
"Oh, man!"
"I looked at it in the eye!"
Wu opens the door as the ninja fall out on top of each other, gasping, with the Chicken back in the box.
"Oh my gosh." Lloyd looks at Wu. "Hey. We got the Chicken."
"Yeah. It's in the box." said Jay.
Cole pants. "We're—we're sharp as ever!"
"You are weak and slow. A ninja's guard is never down. A ninja expects the unexpected. He is ready for anything." said Wu.
"R-right!" Cole burps. "That's us!" Nya nods earnestly.
Wu chuckles. "We shall see." Leaves with the ninja left in confusion.
"What does that mean?" Lloyd asked. Chicken clucks.
"I wish you guys good luck with that." said Nova, turning around and began walking away, but sadly didn't get far as Lloyd grabbed her shoulder.
"Hey, don't think you are gonna get out of this one, whatever Wu has planned for us." said Lloyd.
"Oh no, the chicken is loose again!?" shouted Nova, pointing at the box in a panic.
The ninja quickly turned around in fear, only to see that it was still in the box. Looking back to where Nova had been standing, was now empty as she tricked them so she could get away.
"NOVA!!"
Nova let out a relieved sigh as she was able to get away, and were walking back to her room. Where she had a lot of shelves, and drawers filled with random materials for her weapon builds. On her walls were hanging a lot of her old weapons that she had been using from all the other seasons up until now.
She also had a worktable with a lamp and random blueprints along with other stuff. But in the middle of the table, was the latest weapon that she was still working on.
On the other side of her room, there was her bed by a window, so she would have a good view whenever she woke up.
"I can't believe they actually fell for that trick, but then again, it was the first idea I got in mind." Nova mumbled, walking over to her worktable so she could work on her next project.
*Booby-traps are set: Each ninja takes their turn in the traps Wu sets for them.*
Jay opens the cabinet for something in Zane's room. Darts come flying out. Dodges them. "Whoa!"
Kai turns on the shower, and the water comes from the bottom. "Whoa! Ow! Ow, ow, ow, ow!"
Cole opens the fridge and the Chicken unfolds himself from his place. The Chicken attacks Cole as he screams. "Ah-hAhhh!"
Lloyd almost walks on a laser beam and miraculously avoids all of the laser beams. Smiles confidently before a rope grasps his foot and takes him into the air, leaving him swinging. "Wha—"
Nya wakes up in the middle of the night to find herself in bed on top of the Monastery and screams. "huh-Ahhh!"
Zane stares intently while playing video games, and a dragon head falls on the couch as Zane flies to the ceiling. "Ahh!"
Cole opens the fridge and takes out a cake. "Ganache frosting!" The floor opens as Cole falls inside, and the cake plops off the plate. "Ahhh!"
Nova sleeps peaceful in her bed, until she is woken up by the sound of the Chicken attacking her. "What the fuck Wu!!!"
Nya enters into the living room full of exhausted ninja, covered in slime. "This... has to stop! We have to do something, Lloyd!"
Nova was sitting on the couch growling angry, with both eyes glowing purple along with smoke of darkness coming from her. "Motherfucker sending that bullshit of a chicken to wake me up, I swear I'm gonna turn that chicken into a kfc chicken before it can ever leave this place!" Her temper only increasing, which was scarring the ninja.
"Okay, okay! Let me think." Lloyd pauses to think. "This is ridiculous! Let's just go and talk to him. Like reasonable ninja."
*The ninja walk up to Wu cleaning outside of the Monastery.*
"Master Wu, is there anything that we can do as a group that would prove to you that we have not gone soft?" Lloyd asked while putting a hand on Nova's shoulder, trying to calm her down.
"So you can stop booby-trapping stuff!" said Jay.
"There is one thing." said Wu.
"What's that?" Lloyd asked.
Wu throws his broom at his staff. His staff boomerangs back to him. "Prove me wrong by defeating me in combat."
"Combat?" said Lloyd, confused.
"But I thought you said fighting never proves anything." said Nya.
"Except, in this case, it will prove you can still fight." said Wu.
"We can't fight you! You're our master." said Lloyd.
"I don't mind fighting him, not after that fucking chicken!" Nova growled, still very pissed up by being woken up early to that. Which is the worst way she as ever been woken up to.
"And no offense, but... Well, you're kinda old." said Cole.
"Is that why? You sure you aren't... afraid?" said Wu.
The ninja all but Nova laugh.
Kai sarcastically. "Yeah, right."
"Then prove it! Attack me!" The ninja stare at Wu as he leaps into the air, bring his staff down to the ground, launching them off their feet. "Yah!" Throws off his cloak. "Heeyah!" Defeats Lloyd. "Failed." Defeats Cole.
"Ahhh!"
"Failed." Defeats Kai.
"Auhh!"
"Failed."
Nya leaps at him. Huh-yah!" Wu grabs her foot, swinging her around. "Whoaa!" Crashes and "gasps."
"Failed." Wu stabs Jay and throws him before he can react.
"Ah-whahhh!"
"Failed." Defeats Zane. "Hee-yah! Failed."
Nova growled, running at him, trying to swipe at his feet. But he easily dodges it by jumping over and hitting her with his staff. "Failed."
Lloyd gets up and brushes himself off. "Okay, it's on."
"No more Mr. Nice ninja!" said Kai.
The ninja throws on their hoods.
"C'mon, guys, we can take him. Wanna rumble?" Cole pounds his fists together. "Well, you got the rumble!" Wu calmly looks over his shoulder as Cole leaps up and brings his fists down behind Wu. Small cracks are made, and Cole looks at his hand in surprise. "Whaat?"
"Your Elemental Powers no longer obey you." Wu strikes Cole. "Hee-yah!" Chuckles.
Jay summons his lightning power. "Well, I haven't forgotten how to use mine!" Wu dodges Jay's lightning and lets Zane take the blow.
Zane groans as he is struck by lightning. "wha-lzaah!" Falls down.
Nya uses her Water and tries to strike Wu.
"Uh, Zane?" Nya accidentally hits Jay with water. "Oof! Whoaa!"
"Haha!"
Nya cringes. "Ga-uh. Sorry."
Kai leaps at Wu. "Fire!" Wu successfully deflects Lloyd's energy and Kai's Fire.
Nova summoned three of her shadow clones while using the shadows to try and grab him.
Wu easily deflects the clones attack along with dodging the shadows, as he runs past them and strikes her in the back, sending her flying.
"Get his legs! Hold him!" Nya, Cole, and Kai grab a pair of white legs.
"Those are my legs!" The ninja drops Zane and sighs exhausted.
"Slow and clumsy." Wu appears on the roof.
"How did he get up there?" Kai asked.
"How the fuck did I even get mixed into any of this!?" Nova growled, as she had really thought she had dodged being another target. Clearly not by the looks of it.
"This is getting embarrassing!" said Jay.
"Ninja go!" The ninja leaps up and Spinjitzu to the roof. Wu leaps out of the way. Cole and Kai slip off to the other side of the roof.
"Whoaa!"
"Hmm." Wu charges and slips between Jay's and Kai's Spinjitzu. He deflects Zane's on part of the roof, where Cole slips and falls off.
Cole slides off the roof and lands on the ground. Groans. "Oh-ho-ho. Ouch." Shouts in surprise as Jay falls on top of him, with Zane, Kai, and Nya topping off him.
Wu quickly dodged Nova and Lloyd's Spinjitzu, but Nova acted quickly by turning around and going straight back towards him. Only to end up slipping on the roof and fell down on Nya.
Lloyd and Wu glare at each other in determination to defeat one another. Lloyd draws his sword and charges at Wu. Wu twirls his staff in the air, bringing it down swiftly. Three wooden shingles bounce off and Wu hits them at Lloyd. Lloyd dodges the planks, but loses his balance when Wu taps his foot.
"Failed." Lloyd falls on to Nova. His sword lands beside the pile of ninja, with the three shingles following.
"Ganache frosting." said Cole.
"Maybe Wu's right." said Kai.
"I think so." said Jay.
"We need a quest." said Lloyd.
"Yeah." said Nya.
"You can get off me now Lloyd." said Nova, not in the mood to think much about their position.
Chicken is heard from above.
"Oh, no." said Cole.
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me!" said Jay.
"Fuck this shit, I'm out of here!" shouted Nova using whatever shadows she could see and dodged the attack at the last second.
The ninja are heard screaming as the Chicken attacks them continuously.
"Don't look into its eyes!" shouted Cole.
"I looked it in the eye!" shouted Jay.
"Why did you look into its eyes!" shouted Nova from the other side away from the ninja.
"I don't know!" shouted Jay.
The chicken turned its attention to Nova.
Nova sent the chicken a cold, eerie glare. "Try anything chicken, and I'll make you into kfc and fucking eat you myself!" She growled.
The chicken went back to attack the ninja only and left Nova alone, scared of her.
"NOVA!?!?" shouted the ninja as the chicken went on with attacking them.
