Chapter 83 - PROLOGUE: THE NIGHT EVERYTHING CHANGED

"Before the boy with the hanafuda earrings took his first step… another child stood at the edge of destiny."

Seven years before Tanjiro Kamado's journey began, a different story unfolded in the shadows.

Sahiru, a 13-year-old boy, quiet yet perceptive, lived in a world teetering on the brink of change. Unknown to him, Muzan Kibutsuji had begun shaping a new generation of demons—the Eclipse Moons—a force testament to the current Twelve Kizuki.

In a timeline where fate fractured and the old heroes faded into legend, Sahiru would become a new light—or shadow—in the war against demons.

This is his beginning.

--

Sahiru was only thirteen when the world around him turned to ash.

He had always been a quiet boy, eyes wide with wonder, with a pair of distinct violet irises that shimmered like twilight. His family lived in a peaceful village nestled between mountains, far from the noise of cities or wars. He smiled often, laughed freely, and never once imagined that something sinister could find its way into their tranquil life.

But one night—beneath a moonless sky—it did.

The air had gone cold, unnaturally still. Sahiru woke to screams. His father burst into the room, sword in hand, eyes full of panic. Behind him, his mother cried out his name as shadows tore through their home like wild beasts. The demons were fast, silent, and cruel.

His parents fought with everything they had—not with training or technique, but with love.

They shielded him with their bodies, holding back the demons until the sky began to pale. The first touch of sunlight sent the monsters retreating into the trees, snarling and shrieking as their flesh sizzled into smoke.

Morning came, but peace did not.

His father lay slumped against the wall, chest rising and falling in shallow breaths. His mother was by his side, her arms wrapped around Sahiru protectively.

With the last of their strength, they looked into his tear-filled eyes.

"Live, Sahiru…" his mother whispered, blood staining her lips.

"Be strong… stronger than we ever were," his father added, his voice trembling.

And then… silence.

He sat alone in the wreckage of his home, violet eyes wide and unblinking. That moment branded itself into his heart—not just grief, but a spark of something deeper.
