Training starts. Time doesn't change in this space. It's always bright. But it's annoying when I want to sleep. I don't know how long I have been here and what time it is in the outside.
The seven Holy Knights come and go as they please. The three fighters who can use Aura taught me everything I need to do to learn Aura according to their experience so when I'm alone, I practice by myself.
When someone else is here, I told them some ideas that they can use to improve their skills. Especially things they're talented at.
Jaden is talented in swordsmanship. His swordsmanship is better than me but because I use some ideas to improve my swordsmanship without the talent for it, I have things I can teach him about.
Sven is talented in close-quarter combat. This includes armed combat or unarmed but he mainly fights with his barehand. I taught him how to box as I remembered in my past life and his punches are now faster and harder to predict. He's so happy about it he always bothers Jaden to spar with him every day.
Rosalinda is a magic genius but she chose to learn space magic more than others. Her talent helps her learn magic quickly. But even then, creating original magic is difficult for her. Until I taught her many knowledge I have from my previous world which is also something I taught everyone there as well.
I was just an English teacher in the countryside. But because it's in the countryside, sometimes when there are no teachers for certain subjects, I had to teach other subjects as well. Not as good as teachers for other subjects but it's still good enough to teach high school students. Well, as long as I have the textbooks.
Physics are what Rosalinda likes the most. She didn't know that the air we inhale and the air we exhale have different properties. Using those knowledge, she often leaves the Training Zone to do her own research.
For Sabine, she's talented in communication. I don't know what to teach her but she's interested in English.
In this world, everyone, at least everyone I met, speaks common language. And why does she want to learn a language that no one uses, I don't know. But she said that I'm an adventurer and she's an adventurers guild's receptionist. This means that if she needs to secretly make a contact with me, she can use a language that no one knows in this world.
For Duchess Johanna, I taught her general knowledge. I'm not that good at teaching social study but I learned a thing or two I can teach her. She's smart and she has talent in management. No wonder she's good with her territory.
For Keith, he's talented in archery. So I told him things I taught Natasha.
"So, the daughter of Gunnar, the chairman of Cabal store, was taught a few things about archery from me. And she ended up getting new ideas that I never taught her before. If you want to improve more, maybe you should discuss it with her," I say to Keith.
"Oh, I heard that she went missing. Did you find her using knowledge from that "Video Game" thing?" Duchess Johanna asks me.
"It's just luck. I went to a dungeon that exists in the game. Though in the game, there were two skeletons when I played. But when I went there, there were two dying bodies. One of them was Natasha and after careful consideration, I returned her home. The other was just a poisoned asshole so I used slip magic to make him fell to a hole. I hope he's dead," I say.
But it's true that my video game knowledge helped me rescued Natasha.
"So she's like your student. Does it mean that Emerald City will be safe in the future?" Keith asks.
Everyone then stares at me curiously. They want to know if the places they know will be safe or not.
"At least in the four year of the game, the only safe place in the game is only in the Capital city of Vassel. My hometown of this world. That's why I can be relaxed here knowing my family should be safe within the next few years. As for the rest, there will be some troubles caused by monsters, demons, or even humans. But through all that, my hometown was always safe," I say.
"Then I'm going to move my family to Vassel. I'm also going to tell them about the fact that there will be danger in the future. That's okay, right? Then, I'll leave first. Once I move my family there, I'll meet Miro's student," Keith says.
He also taught me archery. He's better than Natasha at shooting one arrow at least. Stronger and more accurate. Though I still prefer the slingshot I have compared to having a bow and arrows.
The others come and go but since they're busy I'm mostly left alone. So other than training, I write a book to explain a bit about video game to them. Though it's not a video game at all. It's just a text-based RPG book. Something like if you pick option A, go to page 43 and if you pick option B, go to page 2.
Felix, the librarian, is so excited about the book. Because this is the first time such book is written in this world. Though the adventure is just mild and not that exciting, Felix says that he wants to write something more exciting and with Duchess Johanna's support. Everyone will help as well.
The book will somehow be published one day with the help of Cabal Company. Duchess Johanna says that she has met Gunnar and told him that there's a book that she wants him to help publishing and the book is my idea. I guess people will read them soon. Though the adventure should be more exciting compared to the one I wrote.
Meanwhile, I never stop training. I don't know how long it has been but I still can't use Aura at all. Even when I stop using magic altogether to focus on my physical strength, I fail to manifest Aura.
"Again!" I say to Asdis who is always here watching me train and teach the others. She even watched me writing the silly adventure book.
Then in front of me, an ogre appeared. Asdis can make a monster appear in this zone at will. And I'm using those monsters to train.
Jaden says perseverance in training will manifest my Aura one day. Keith says patience and dedication. Sven says to fight as much as possible. That's how those three manifested their Aura.
Even then, they have talents in their respective ability. And I only have slip magic as my talent. So I need to be more patient, more dedicated, endure more, and fight more.
I can't leave because they said that if there's a way out of the training other than through manifesting my Aura, I might choose to leave in the middle of training and won't practice anymore. I agree. Because I tried to leave many times but I can't. The only way out for me is to manifest Aura so I trained harder and harder every day.
The hardest part is when I have to spar with either Jaden or Sven. Because they fight me with the intent to kill me while I must not use magic at all.
But I'm a coward. So when I thought I will die I used magic to get away.
"You can't manifest Aura if you keep running away like that!"
Sven hates it when I'm running away. But it's true. I can't manifest Aura this way. But that doesn't mean I want to risk my life doing it.
"Sven, he's there," Jaden says as he stops Sven from rushing at me.
"What's there?" I ask.
"Keith. He's now your new neighbor. I'm in contact with him now," Rosalinda says as she appears all of a sudden using long distance communication magic to contact Keith.
"Oh, new neighbor. So what?"
"I'm in contact with him so whenever you use magic during the spar I will tell Keith that he will break your father's fingers one by one before moving up to his arms. If your desire is to protect your family, this is how far we will go for you to manifest your Aura," Rosalinda says.
…It might be a bluff but that doesn't mean I'm not angry at all.
"Keith, one!" Rosalinda says as she realizes that I was about to use magic.
Then with the something like the loudspeaker of her communication magic activated, I can hear the familiar voice of my father screaming. Did they really break my father's finger because I used magic?
"This is too far," I say calmly but extremely angry.
It might still be a bluff but there's no way I would mistake my own father's voice. I have listened to that voice for fifteen years. I haven't seen him for so long but I know his voice.
"Then take a beating from me. If you use magic again, Keith will go to the next finger," Sven says.
This is beyond ridiculous now. But I have no choice so I prepare my sword in my hands. My weapon of choice is still a long sword. This is the one I'm best at in close combat.
Whether I will manifest my Aura or not, I will have to beat them all up to make sure they will never mess with me ever again.
