Chapter 2 - First Gacha and Discovery

[Congratulations for obtaining Royal Magic Bloodline.]

Sol blinked once, then twice, his mouth hanging open in surprise, before confusion clouded his face as he tried to grasp this first, impossible gift.

'Uh, System? A bit more help here,' he pleaded mentally.

[Royal Magic Bloodline (Yuno - Black Clover)]

[Do you wish to assimilate and merge?]

He shot off the stump, a gasp of pure excitement tearing from his throat. His thoughts churned at a frantic pace, racing back to everything he remembered about Black Clover and Yuno.

'Battle and magic genius, royal bloodline, incredible magic potential and capabilities. One of the people who could become the Wizard King! You're giving me his bloodline?! Hoooooly shit!' A wild cheer erupted in his mind, and for the first time since his baffling awakening, a genuine, unrestrained smile stretched across Sol's face.

Exhaling a shaky breath, Sol closed his eyes. "Merge the bloodline," he whispered aloud.

He braced himself, hands clenching, teeth gritted, preparing for the agony he instinctively assumed would tear through him.

He sat in tense silence, expecting torment. But instead of the typical fictional pain of being ripped apart from the inside out, a profound warmth began to bloom, spreading from his heart. It bled through his entire body, a sensation akin to sinking into a perfectly hot spring after an exhausting day, melting away every ounce of tension.

Unbeknownst to him, this radiating warmth was the System's protective measure, a defensive mechanism blocking the unimaginable pain as the bloodline fundamentally rewrote his very structure.

Magical pathways, utterly incomparable to any other magical species, were meticulously forged within him. His body slowly began to drink in the ambient magic of the world, his reserves swelling with dizzying speed. Deeper, more incomprehensible changes rippled through his entire being, reshaping him without his conscious awareness.

"Oh, that's magical," he murmured, leaning back onto his hands as the incredible feeling began to subside.

As the sensation faded, Sol slowly opened his eyes. Before the merging, they had been a simple, dull brown. Now, they were a radiant, living gold, almost shimmering with an inner light like the morning sun itself.

"I feel... different. It's a good feeling, but it's almost like I've got lightning hiding just beneath my skin, ready to explode out of me."

'Any information on what the bloodline actually did?' Sol questioned the System, his eyes slowly scanning his own body.

He noticed, with a jolt of surprise, that the emaciated look he'd carried just moments ago was entirely gone. His fragile, skinny limbs now boasted a healthy level of muscle and a natural layer of fat, while his previously dirty skin was flawlessly blemish-free.

[Vast & Potent Magic Reserves: You possess a truly immense reservoir of magical energy, capable of fueling spells of incredible power and scale without easily leading to exhaustion. Your mana or magic replenishes with remarkable speed.]

An audible gulp sounded from Sol's throat as he devoured the detailed information.

Though it read like something pulled straight from the wildest fantasy, the undeniable sensation of his newly invigorated body and the vibrant, livewire energy humming beneath his skin made it all profoundly, terrifyingly real.

'So, I can do magic? Do I need a Grimoire like Yuno to utilize and learn magic?' Sol wondered, his thoughts immediately jumping to the practical applications of his newfound abilities.

After a couple of minutes spent generating and then discarding dozens of wild ideas, Sol finally looked around his surroundings, a decision forming. Slowly leaving 'his' stump behind, he began to walk through the thick, increasingly dim forest.

His absolute first priority was to find some form of civilization; from there, he could begin to make proper plans.

Swiveling his head back and forth, Sol tuned into the quiet hum of the forest.

His newly enhanced senses picked up even the most minute sounds and sights – the rustle of a distant leaf, the faint chirp of a nocturnal insect. He intentionally walked at a slower pace, adjusting his control, finely tuning his bodily responses to this new surge of power.

Though the sun had begun its descent, signaling the rapid approach of evening and casting the forest into deepening darkness, Sol's magic-infused eyes shimmered. They easily pierced the veil of darkness, and soon, he found a small, subtly defined, man-made trail.

'So people come here often?' He wondered, noting the path was well-cleared and maintained, a clear sign of constant use.

He followed the dirt path for the next 30 minutes, a slow unease beginning to creep in.

How much longer would he need to walk? Though he could now run at a 'superhuman' speed, this forest remained an unknown, its shadows potentially harboring dangers.

The journey stretched for a few more minutes, then Sol's eyes lit up with sudden, eager excitement. Pushing past a particularly thick cluster of trees, he spied it: a towering building in the distance, its many windows ablaze with light against the now-dark sky.

Quickening his pace, Sol broke into a gentle, 'human'-level jog, a wide, genuine smile spreading across his face. He was getting closer to his first true sign of civilization.

His smile froze, his eyes widening further, as Sol finally broke through the tree line and stood on the edge of a vast, open plain, or field.

His gaze, drawn upward, slowly ascended, higher and higher into the night sky. Bewilderment morphed into awe at the impossible sight before him.

'That can't be?!' He screamed mentally, the thought an ear-splitting explosion in his mind.

He'd seen it countless times, a familiar picture from books and movies, but nothing, absolutely nothing, could have truly prepared him for the sheer, overwhelming scale of Hogwarts. It rose majestically in front of him, a silhouette against the night sky.

It wasn't just a castle; it was an ancient titan of stone, its countless towers and spires piercing the heavens, precisely as he'd imagined them.

He half-expected it to shimmer, to dissolve like a mere trick of the light, but it stood undeniably real, its rough blocks and intricate details solid, grand, and impossibly immense.

Sitting proudly on its rocky perch, casting its imposing shadow over the dark, wide expanse of the Great Lake, it was a scene so perfectly rendered that he could almost hear the familiar, sweeping orchestral music swelling in his head.

It was a chaotic yet harmonious blend of different architectural parts, somehow fitting together as if it had simply grown out of the very ground itself.

'I'm in fuckin' Harry Potter?!' Sol's internal scream was so loud, so utterly unhinged, that if he possessed imaginary ears, they would have imploded from the sheer intensity of the realization.

The faint sound of a twig snapping, heavy and deliberate, to his right yanked Sol abruptly from his internal, fanatical thoughts.

He whipped his head around.

A colossal figure was slowly walking towards him, a massive lantern held high in the monstrous man's hand. It stopped a couple of meters away, its light casting long, dancing shadows.

"What're you doin' here, lad?" The voice, a rough voice asked softly from the towering form of Rubeus Hagrid.
