*Noah's POV*
Madison stares at the stack of cash in Zoey's hands like it's radioactive.
"Miss Bennett, I appreciate the offer, but I can't accept this."
She steps back into the reception area, putting distance between herself and the money.
Zoey follows her out of the elevator, desperation creeping into her voice.
"Fifteen thousand. Final offer."
"It's not about the money." Madison's tone stays professional despite Zoey's increasing pushiness. "Mr. Steele values his privacy above everything else. I won't betray his trust."
Zoey's expression shifts from pleading to calculating. The mask slips for just a moment, revealing the entitled woman underneath.
"Fine. But you're making a mistake." She stuffs the cash back into her designer purse. "When I'm Mrs. Steele, I'll remember this conversation."
"I understand."
"Will you at least tell me what he looks like? You don't have to show me anything. Just describe him."
Madison glances toward my office again. I give her a subtle nod.
