Chapter 1 - A Dream More Than Real

My name? It doesn't really matter.

My dream? To live somewhere else.

In a world where magic exists.

A world where one can reshape their destiny through sheer willpower.

Here, in the real world, I'm nothing special. No talent. No ambition. Nothing worth noticing.

On the outside, my life seems calm. A bed. Enough to eat. A dull routine.

But inside… it's silent chaos.

I've lost so many things, I forgot what I was even trying to build. I lost the spark that once made me believe this world was worth living in.

Now, everything feels like it demands inhuman effort. Nothing feels within reach.

So I dream.Again and again.

I read magical manga, imagine spells, recite them aloud hoping…That something might happen.

But nothing ever does.

It's not that I don't belong here. It's just that… I don't feel like I belong.

Maybe in another world, I might've had a chance.Maybe there, I could have become someone.

Someone important.

Someone strong.

Someone else.

That night, I went to sleep like always.

No expectations. No hope.

And yet…

When I opened my eyes, I was lying in a field. The sky was a brilliant blue, clouds lazily drifting overhead. The grass tickled my arms — but it wasn't like my world.

The air shimmered with a gentle, living magic I could feel deep in my bones.

I always dreamed of a quiet power, often overlooked, rarely respected.

Yet deep down, I knew it held more potential than anyone could imagine.

A power to amplify the impossible, to turn weakness into strength.

It was… calm. Too calm.

I sat up slowly, squinting against the light. My heart beat gently, no panic, as if all of this were normal.

But I knew this wasn't the world I came from. Everything felt… too real.

I looked at my hands. No wounds. No changes. But the air. The scent. The breeze.Everything was so alive, it gave me chills.

And then—

— Hey, you! Are you alright?

A voice. A man approached with a basket in hand.

— I saw you from afar. Thought you were dead!

He bent over me, looking concerned.

— I'm fine, thanks.

I answered without thinking. But inside, I had only one thought:

"Is this world… a dream?"

He held out his hand. I took it instinctively, and he helped me up.

— If you want, come to the farm. I'm making food — you can rest a bit too.

I followed him in silence.

The farm wasn't far. The sun dipped low, casting long shadows across the fields.

He entered a small, tidy house.

— Sit down. I'll finish preparing the meal.

I sat at the wooden table, eyes taking in every detail.

Everything looked plain… yet comforting.

Soon, the smell of fresh bread and stew filled the room.He placed a plate before me and sat down across from me.

— So… where are you from? How did you end up here?

I shrugged.

— I'm not sure… I feel like I just fell asleep and woke up here.

He nodded slowly, as if he understood — or at least wanted to.

— You must be tired. Eat, it'll help.

I began to eat. Slowly. The taste was simple, yet every bite felt like a miracle.

The evening passed with idle questions and vague answers. We talked about everything and nothing — the weather, the harvest, the seasons, local stories… and especially, magic.

I wasn't scared. Just a quiet fear… of waking up, because I was starting to enjoy this place.

This world… this dream… I wanted to believe in it. Just a little longer.

When night fell, he led me to a small room upstairs.

— Rest well.

I lay on the bed, eyes fixed on the ceiling. And closed them, ready to be swept back into a dream more real than anything I'd ever known.

I opened my eyes.

The white ceiling of my room greeted me, cold and familiar. A faint anxiety crept into my chest.

Was it really just a dream?

I looked at the clock on my bedside table.

Five minutes.

Five minutes, while in my dream, I had lived hours — maybe even days.

I sighed, disappointed.

Just a dream…

And yet, something inside me wanted to return.

I lay down again.Closed my eyes. And fell asleep once more, not knowing what awaited me.

This time, it wasn't just a dream.

A voice echoed in my mind — clear, distant, mechanical:

-Welcome, Master.

A glowing interface appeared before me, suspended in the air, casting a cold light.

I blinked, speechless.

-I am Virtual Entity of Liaison.

"My function is to guide you through this new world. I will help you understand your abilities and progress in your journey."

The words were emotionless… but full of meaning.

I had no more doubts.

This world was becoming my reality.

And at last, I was about to live the dream I had always hoped for.
