XAVIER
My hard cock suffered after Nylah retreated to her room and anger churned within me.
I bought Nylah to be my dancer after she stole from me and broke the no-sex rule of my clubhouse. She doesn't know yet that I own the clubhouse but I wanted more from her. I wanted more than her seductive dances, I wanted to go into her and claim every inch of her body.
'She seems scared of you.' Alikah, my wolf spoke through our shared mind space and a picture of her scared face from earlier flashed through my mind.
Alikah's right. She's scared of me. Somehow the realization made me sad. I wanted to claim her in the most filthy way possible but I wanted her to give herself to me willingly.
I wanted to make her scream with pleasure as I discovered her body but that wasn't going to happen if she was scared of being around me.
"Alpha, I have a message from Alpha Dmitri." One of my guards called from the other side of the door and a frown crossed my face.
The mere sound of the Alpha's name made me uneasy.
"Come in," I answered and rearranged myself on my chair, in an attempt to hide my countenance.
"What is it?" I asked the guard who was still in a slight bow.
"He requested your presence at his park. He said he has a way of settling the feud between both packs permanently."
Alpha Dmitri had been my father's rival even before I was born and the fight continued even after my parents passed. He took it up with me.
I proposed a settlement, something that would calm both packs and stop them from killing each other. Alpha Dmitri told me he was going to think about it and sent a message to summon me.
"I see." I gritted my teeth with squinted eyes. Who knows what Alpha Dmitri's cooked up? What if this was a trap? Another thought crossed my mind but I squared my shoulders and pushed it aside.
It will be his loss to have me dead since there's a lot he can gain from my pack. We have the resources and he has the man manpower coming together would give both packs the best of each resource and I was going to make it happen.
"Get the car ready. We leave before dawn." I instructed and discharged the guard.
The adrenaline rush had reduced significantly as I made a mental note of the many things that could go wrong with my visit.
Thirty minutes later, I was in the back seat of the black SUV. The night was still dark, the animals were alive. I figured it was better to get there at the break of dawn rather than starting the journey at dawn.
It'll give us enough time to discuss matters and come to an agreement and if this is an ambush, getting there when the sun's rising would give us more leverage.
My Beta, Brian will be joining us from the pack,
After some hours of being on the road, we finally arrived at the pack house and just like I wanted, it was dawn and the sun had risen by the time we arrived.
The guards at the gate made a knowing discussion as they sighted our car before two of them ran into the pack. I was certain they went to inform their Alpha about my presence.
"Should we...?" The guard in the driver's seat was skeptical as well and more scared than he showed.
"No, I'll get down first. If anything happens, I'm the one they want. Run, save yourselves while I handle them." I replied and he let out a sharp nod.
"All of you should remain behind me," I said again before getting out of the car.
Alpha Dmitri's guards were by the door already, waiting to take me to their Alpha.
Without a word I followed but my eyes were darting around the place to make sure we weren't ambushed.
"Don't tell me you didn't have a good night's rest because of my call." Alpha Dmitri's voice rang through the large dining hall as we entered.
He was seated at the end of the long, mahogany table with twenty-six chairs around it. Munching on some fresh grapes.
There was something about his demeanor that made my stomach sink.
"Join me." He gestured to the empty seats on his right and I took one not too close to him and not too far from him as well so I could watch his move.
"I was told you've come to a settlement cost." I started when one of the maids poured me tea. I had no intention of eating or drinking at least until I heard his proposition.
"Ah yes, I have. Welcome Brian." I followed Alpha Dmitri's gaze to Brian who walked into the hall.
"You came just in time," Dimitri added with a smirk that made me squint. "We were discussing the settlement."
"Which is?" I asked rather impatiently.
Dimitri's somewhat smiley face made me conclude that whatever it was he wanted to say wasn't going to be good.
"You'll marry my daughter and make her your Luna." He said with a stoic expression, all smiles gone from his face as he studied mine for any reaction.
This must be some joke! I can't be with Ivy, she's not even on the list of options I have to pick from.
I've never exchanged more than two words with her and that was when I came to see Alpha Dmitri some years back, she came to tell me her father would join me shortly and I replied "ok" so I didn't understand why Dimitri would consider such.
"What?" Brian asked, he probably didn't expect it.
Dimitri was a strict Alpha who never let his daughter out of his sight or let any male come close to her which is why I wonder why he made this decision as the solution.
"Ivy loves you and I have to grant my daughter's wishes, besides, I can't let another male touch her… a weak male."
It was obvious Alpha Dmitri wanted to grant his daughter's wishes and also settle the fight but this was tricky.
"Give us a minute." I directed to Alpha Dmitri while I communicated through my mind link to Brain. 'Let's go out.'
"This is a tough one, no wonder he's been smiling." Brian started when we found a quiet spot outside.
"What do you think?" I asked with a blank expression.
"If you say no, the war will continue and we might lose more of our people to their traps and if you say yes, Dimitri might have a grand plan... What if his target is the throne?" Brian's question hung in the air as the weight of it lingered in our minds.
I slipped my hands into my pockets and squared my shoulders.
"I'll marry his daughter," I said with a conclusive tone.
"Okay, I hope things go well... What of the new lay you have at the mansion, what happens to her?" The question hit me hard like a rock was thrown to my chest but I didn't let my expression sell me out.
"Things will go well, and the lay is fine. Nothing will happen to her." I replied curtly and began some steps back to the dining hall when a guard ran to me with a cell phone in his hand.
"Alpha... There's trouble," he was shaking as he held out the phone.
I collected the phone without asking questions and the voice I heard at the other end sounded like trouble.
"Settle here with the Alpha, I'm going to sort this out," I instructed Brian before walking to the car.
