Chapter 3 - Auriel

A vast expanse of towering trees with blueish green leaves, the Blueish Forest shimmers under the ethereal glow of bioluminescent fungi nestled at the tree roots.

The air carries a crisp freshness, tinged with the scent of moss and ancient wood.

The forest floor is a rich tapestry of flora, luminescent moonbell flowers that glow faintly at night, twisting ivy imbued with mild magical properties, and sturdy skyfern shrubs with leaves resembling azure waves.

Gentle streams weave through the undergrowth, their waters holding faint traces of magical energy.

Beneath the shimmering canopy of blueish-green leaves, Blueish Forest harbors an ecosystem teeming with both wonder and danger. The deeper one ventures, the more mysterious and perilous the surroundings become.

Looking at the scene from the top of the tree, Aaron felt a rare sense of peace. He then looked at his surroundings and found that just a few hundred meters away from him, there was a path leading somewhere.

He thought for a while and felt it was better to follow the path, or else he might be lost.

So he jumped few trees and easily reached the path that was wide enough for a carriage to pass.

He could see that it was made of some kind of stone. Just when he was thinking about which direction to choose.

Suddenly, he saw a carriage coming in his direction. It was pulled by a Giant Horse. Just by looking at its appearance, Aaron was stunned.

" Hey boy! Move out of the way."

The loud voice was enough to bring Aaron back to his senses. But by the time he found out, the carriage had already come in front of him.

At this time, without hesitation, he used substitution just as he saved himself from getting injured.

" Roar!!"

With a loud roar, the carriage stopped, and then the driver got down hurriedly while saying," Miss, there is an accident. I might have killed someone."

The driver was wearing a shirt and pants that looked neat and clean. But at this time, he was checking the feet of the Giant Horses and found that there was no blood as he had imagined. This made him puzzled, and he even thought that he might have encountered a ghost.

Just thinking about it made his face turn pale.

At this time, the carriage door was opened, and a girl covering her face with white veil, wearing a white robe came down. She had Light Green hair, emerald eyes, snow white skin, and a curious look on her face.

Auriel was thinking about becoming an adventurer in Blueish City. According to the stories she had heard, there was a legendary equipment buried in the depths of Blueish Forest. She wanted to find the equipment that could help her cure her mother's illness.

While she was lost in thought, the sudden stopping of the carriage made her almost hit her head. So she was a little angry while thinking," Which ignorant idiot would take the road for travelling. Don't they know that this road is especially used for Carriages?"

As soon as she got down the carriage, she looked at the driver's face and found his face was bloodless. He stuttered and said," M..i..s..s I.. I think.. We might have encountered a Ghost."

Auriel gave her a cold look and said in a somewhat cold tone," Stop talking nonsense. It might not be a ghost."

While Aaron, who was standing on the tree, had already been mesmerized by her beauty. If he could sum up, then he could only say such a perfect beauty, where could he find it?

So he jumped down from the tree and said," Excuse me!"

The driver who turned around saw a man appearing out of nowhere. He sat down and almost screamed in fear.

Auriel looked at the boy with a hint of surprise on her face. She felt that there was something special about this boy. Even though he looked at her, there was only appreciation in his eyes, which was very hard to find in any other man's eyes she had seen.

" Who are you? Also, what are you doing on the road that is specially built for carrying a carriage? Don't you know that no one uses this road for walking?"

" My name is Aaron. I ran into the Blueish Forest to find the Goblin Dungeon, but I am currently lost and have no idea where I am. So I found the road, and next you know about the rest."

Auriel looked at his eyes and found that he wasn't lying. This made her stunned, and she couldn't help but say," Aren't you going to challenge the Goblin Dungeon yourself, are you?"

Aaron nodded his head, and Auriel immediately said in a somewhat cold tone," Are you an idiot? The Goblin Dungeon, even though it's a newbie dungeon, requires a party of four people to clear it. Moreover, it takes over two days to clear it, but by looking at your appearance, I guess that you didn't even prepare a ration and camping tools."

" Even a child knows about all this information, so how come you are acting like an idiot?"

Aaron had a look of helplessness. He then sighed and said," It's not like I didn't want to join a team, but no one was willing to take me."

Auriel had a look of understanding, and then she said," Well, you can travel with us."

While saying so, she got inside the carriage. The Driver, at this time, said in a somewhat angry tone," Boy, are you human or a ghost?"

Aaron had a black line on his forehead and said," Come on, man. I am human."

While saying so, he pulled his cheeks. Seeing this, the Driver was relieved. He hurriedly got on the carriage and said," Boy, get up here."

Aaron climbed up using the stairs and sat next to the driver and asked," Do you know where the Goblin Dungeon is?"

The Driver whipped in the air, and the horses started running again. At the same time, he said," I will drop you at that entrance. It's just a few minutes away from here."

Aaron was relieved in his heart and felt thankful for encountering such kind people on the road. At the same time, he was stunned by the speed of the Giant Horses.
