This time on...
Using a 10x-spin, it flashed my extremely and much so faster than the Daily Spin, so much more that I didn't even have time to register any of them before they were selected... 'Hm, maybe the more time it takes the spin, the higher chance for rare? It could just be regarding Daily-spins though... I'll check with a 1x-spin in a second.'
Let's see what I got...
A bag of 10k Beri, Sanji's recipe for All-Blue Fish Soup, an ancient Wano Kuni style kimono, a barrel of freshly caught sea-king meat, a small and fully functional Den Den Mushi (adult), Supe Supe No Mi, Basic Armament Haki training manual, a mid-quality flintlock pistol with 50 rounds, survival skills manual (basic), and... a compass.
'Honestly... that is a very good abundance of loot... not bad at all for the first 10-spin pull... Sanji's recipe huh? Interesting, even things like that can pop up... woah! I'd already gotten a devil fruit- hm, Smooth-smooth fruit huh... could come in some handiness I suppose, but I don't want to waste a slot with it just for my looks...'
'Wait, what do I look like anyways? There's no mirror in this bathroom, ah speaking of- I need to get out of here before Jarvey gets any ideas', I think as I unlatch the door of the small bathroom and return the way of which I had come.
Jarvey instantly spots me as I resurface to the deck of his ship, "Ah lad, rough time in the can, huh?" he chuckles before continuing, "anyways we have a bit of ways before we get to Foosha village, how about you give me some help around the ship where needed?"
Nodding in agreement, "Yeah, that's the least I can do for staying on your ship- ah, and let me just tell you now, I really appreciate you not kicking me off the moment you spotted me earlier Jarvey, not many people would do that."
"Well, not many people just show up out of nowhere, not knowing where they are- and on top of everything, in the middle of the sea! But regardless, even if you were a stowaway, I'm no pirate lad. I'd just be harder on ya'." he laughs heartily.
Introducing me to the crew, I slowly start to get acquainted with them, everyone showing me the ropes- what not to do, when to do something, what to do... all that.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The last few days passed in a blur of activity, I quickly learned that my body, although seemingly normal, seemed to possess an unexpected resilience. I learned to haul ropes with surprising strength; my hands, though initially soft, quickly hardened without blistering.
I found a rhythm in the sway of the ship, my footing becoming sure even in rougher waters. I helped the other crew members, a motley but generally good-natured bunch, and slowly began to piece together fragments of this world. They spoke of Marines, pirates, Devil Fruits, and the Grand Line as if they were everyday topics, which, I realized with a jolt, they were... 'duh, I am in One Piece world after all, how could I forget such an obvious thing...'
Anyways, I had seen myself through a mirror inside of the captain's quarters the other day, and let's just say... I think I am devilishly handsome, I definitely don't need the Smooth Smooth devil fruit to improve my looks, I am already quite superb! Alas, let's not get too narcissistic...
What you want to know what I look like? Fine.
My eyes were a bright shimmering blue, as clear yet abyssal as the surrounding ocean, with long midnight hair that reach the middle of my spine if not for being tied in a ponytail... yet even then... it did. My jaw was so sharp I almost cut my finger while rubbing my slight stubble of facial hair, how handsome was I? Oh my.
During these last four days, I had spun my Daily-spin and some occasional 10x-spins when I had the chance (usually the bathroom), and let's just say my haul was not too bad.
With the four daily-spins specifically giving me the best items, I came to the conclusion that they definitely have a better chance of getting higher rarities, along with individual spins, although lesser, 1x-spins did indeed give better loot as well.
From the four daily-spins I received: Garp's Vivre Card, a vial of perfected Mink Green Blood, a Seastone weaving kit, and Sube Sube no mi.
Those are some good spins, right? Don't know what some do? Here.
Garp's vivre card is obvious, so lets explain this 'vial of perfected Mink Green Blood' (which I used) first: Simply put, I am now able to do anything a Mink can do with no side-effects, cool right? Yeah, I thank Vegapunk for this. 'Thank you Vegapunk!' Oh, and I didn't mention... it was prismatic-grade! 'Indeed, I got very lucky with this one.'
The seastone weaving kit allows me to refine small amounts of raw seastone into usable form, like Smoker's signature weapon for example, or seastone cuffs... all that... and yeah, Sube Sube no mi (slip-slip), yeah... that was another one I'd exchange, but for now it's just sitting in my Soul-Anchor space.
So yeah, besides that, the other things I had received from the few 10x-spins and the twenty or so 1x-spins are as follows: 57k beli from 8 separate spins, a few more flintlock pistols of varying qualities, a few common cutlasses, a basic Rokushiki training manual, a standard marine telescope, a durable cloak with hidden pockets, knowledge of basic blacksmithing (skill book), and a few other things that weren't even worth mentioning... okay... like this freaking wooden chair that I'm currently sitting on!
Alright, so now we're caught up so let me do my daily-spin for today!
Spinny-spinning-spin... and there we go, let's see... 'What the hell is this?'
It was a devil fruit that I have never seen before, nor heard of... yet it must be great considering... it was the same grade as The Soul of Xebec.
It was called, Akuma Akuma no Mi, Model:Nullification.
Quickly shifting the menu to the Log, I view its' information which reads: The sole Devil Fruit that embodies the very essence of the "Devil" within the fruits. The user gains the ability to temporarily nullify the powers of multiple devil fruits within a specific radius without the need for physical contact (although contact prolongs the nullification duration). User also gains a profound mitigation of weakness to sea allowing for movement while underwater - user will still experience a strong lethargy and significant power drain when submerged in seawater (or due to sea-stone).
'Yep, that calls it.' I exit my menu and eat the fruit whole, still sitting in the chair residing in my Soul-Anchor space, making sure not to spit any out, regardless of how disgusting it is... 'Yeah, from now on I will only absorb devil fruits that are of red rarity or higher!'
As I swallowed the last repulsive piece of the fruit, a chilling emptiness began to spread from my stomach, not a physical cold, but a profound almost... metaphysical void. 'Whatever that means...', it wasn't painful like when I absorbed The Soul of Xebec, but it settled deep within my very bones. A quiet, pervasive nothingness that felt strangely... full.
'Wow, that... felt pretty amazing to be hone-' I stop mid-thought, taking note of my already midnight hair shifting to an even darker, almost supernaturally so, hue of black... no, it wasn't just black; it was an absolute light-devouring black. Any stray light touching it seeming to vanish.
A strange, profound stillness settles around me, a tangible absence in the air that seems to absorb minute sounds and vibrations. Even the soft, diffuse glow of the Soul-Anchor space looks to dim almost imperceptibly in my immediate vicinity, as if my very presence was gently siphoning away its energy. There was a chilling undercurrent, a faint resonance of negation in the space I occupy.
'I feel stronger...' I think as I slip out of the Soul-Anchor space and find myself in the usual bathroom. Exiting the room and returning to the deck, I look up to the stars and feel a sense of excitement, 'My journey has only just begun and I'm already this far... I wonder how much further I can go in this world...'
A heavy hand lands on my shoulder before a voice sounds, "Hey lad! You use the bathroom quite a lot you know, low bladder?" he laughs heartily, I don't need to turn to know who it is...
"Haha, Jarvey! I suppose I do use the bathroom quite a bit, but you also see how much water I drink a day, do you not?" I reply, turning toward him with a smile.
His eyes smiling... instantly turn to confusion as he looks into my own, "Uh... Ryojin boy, why are your eyes so... black? They were blue just an hour ago, what happened?"
'Uh oh, I didn't know that happened...' I quickly try to think of an excuse.
