Chapter 1 - Home Work

"'Breathing in'. Another unlucky day." The young man sighed while throwing out a salty taste with a slight crunchy texture from his mouth.

The young man with a face full of dark liquid that clung tightly to his entire face, making him look like a mud monster. The liquid also had a pungent odor, which even any animal with a nose would not want to go near.

His name was Victorious Norma. He had been stuck in this shabby place for a very long time.

The place was like a prison that smelled like sewers. Even prison seems better than this place, he thought.

He had been stuck in this place for a long time. Because of his unique misfortune. His entire family said he was the incarnation of bad luck itself.

The way he was trapped in this place was even more unique.

A few hours ago.

...

In a kingdom called Veldaza.

A library full of so many books that this place was even nicknamed the 'World Library' because of the large number of books and the complete selection of books in this place.

This library is very spacious, besides that the books look very complete, if you look carefully, there is not a single empty shelf.

The library has three floors.

The first floor is used for ordinary visitors, the students of the Veldaza School of Magic, often come to this place to do their homework.

While the second floor is used by the Elche (5th level witches) while for the 3rd level, it is used by important figures of the Veldaza Kingdom.

...

Victor who was a beginner who wanted to become an Alche [Level 1 Magician] was in search of materials to do his homework.

He was in this library with one purpose. To complete his assignment that asked him to find materials about magic and then explain its use.

Throw away the usual magic books! Victor felt that if his magic materials were ordinary, then the grades the old professors would give him would also be ordinary.

"This one is too ordinary!" Putting back the book on fireballs, he walked away in search of other magic, which looked interesting and unusual.

After searching for quite a while. A sense of dissatisfaction came from his heart. He complained, "What is the 'World Library', even the school library is better than this place."

Regret came from the bottom of his heart. He felt, he should have taken the material on 'Levitating' magic in his school library instead, even though levitating magic was quite common, the important thing was that it was not a very common magic that was easy to master.

The look on his face darkened, he regret deepened as well.

But fortunately he found a black colored book, the interesting magic formation image on the cover also caught his attention. He thought that the ink book was a 'teleportation' spell that was quite famous. The location of this book is in the corner of a shelf that does not attract attention.

Victor complained again, "Why don't they put unusual spells like this up front. Are these spells forbidden?" He thought as he assured himself that the spell book he was holding wasn't actually something forbidden.

He didn't know much about 'teleportation' spells, even if this spell was forbidden. What did he care! Writing down the chant, the terms of use, and explaining about this magic would get her full marks from his professor, and he could even get a reputation.

Standing up, he read the book with focus.

The book was quite thick, his small hands even objected a little. His focus continued to be on the book, he also walked to a seat in the library, because over time his hands began to ache.

Once seated, his concentration intensified. Even the buzzing flies didn't bother him

Closing the book.

After reading for a while he knew that the teleportation he read about was a formation spell.

"It shouldn't be a problem. Because those old professors didn't tell the students clearly, whether it was an ordinary chant type spell, or some other type"

If the old professors had protested, he would have said 'You didn't clearly say what kind of spell you wanted the students to decipher. So it's not my fault!' Victor was sure the old professors wouldn't blame him.

Victor was afraid of forgetting the contents of his book, so he decided to borrow the book he was holding.

Walking to the book lending station.

This lending library was very special. From the information he knew, the Kingdom of Veldaza was cooperating with Ardrick Technology. As Veldaza's first request, they purchased a device from Ardrick, a creature made of iron that had its own consciousness. The creature he was referring to was now in front of him.

The piece of iron had square eyes, the color of its eyes was a bright sea blue, its shape was somewhat human-like, its head was oval like a frisbee, its hands were also long like tentacles made of iron, strangely this creature had no mouth and no ears.

The hunk of iron looked at the book he had borrowed, then said, "Is this all, sir?" While taking the stamp next to the quill.

"Yes." He replied while looking at his curiously, as if it was the first time he had seen that piece of metal.

The lump of iron held the stamp, opened the book, and stamped the front of the book, then said, "Return no less than a week, if it exceeds the specified time, a fine will be imposed as a penalty." He closed the book and put the stamp back in its place.

Receiving his stamped book, Victor said, thank you! Then immediately rushed home to read his book.

...

His house was quite big. He actually lived in a mansion with his parents and younger sister, but because his parents were afraid that he would bring his younger sister into his misfortune, his parents decided to buy a house for him, then told him to live independently.

He entered the house quickly, eager to practice famous 'teleportation' formation magic.

After entering his house, he was greeted by four different doors, without a second thought he ran to the leftmost door.

The room itself wasn't that big, but at least it was comfortable and neat. Even with only one bed, one desk with its drawers, one chair, and one wardrobe. Making his room easy to clean.

Victor placed the book on his desk while dragging his wooden chair for him to sit on.

His focus had returned to the book.

"I need bull horn chalk, six magic horse teeth, and blood bat blood."

He felt that the materials used for this teleportation magic were quite expensive, so he decided to use the money he had saved.

Afterward, he rushed to buy them from the magic material shop near his house.

...

A vermyl magic material shop.

For a small shop that sold magic materials, this shop was quite complete, the price was also affordable. Since this magic ingredient shop is also small, don't think about looking for magic ingredients such as dragon horn, or humlock heart.

Picked up the materials that he wanted to buy. The total was 700 orns coins, the magic horse teeth were sold in units of 50 orns, so when he bought 6 pieces, the total would be 300 orns, the remaining two items were 200 orns each.

Bringing the items he wanted to buy to Madame Vermyl, he quickly paid for them.

Before leaving Madame Vermyl asked Victor, "What are you buying these materials for?" Somewhat confused, feeling that a schoolboy like Victor was buying magic materials.

As he walked away, Victor exclaimed "Magic formation!" Then walked out of the shop, rushing towards his house.

"Formation? What grade is he in?" Supposedly the material about formations was taught when in 4th grade, he even learned formations in 4th grade, then was Victor in 4th grade? He seemed to have forgotten.
