Chapter 2: Born Again, In TexasGeorge gasped as the world around him returned—but it was all wrong. Everything was louder, larger… fuzzier. He was wrapped in cloth. Bright lights burned overhead. Large faces loomed.
"Congratulations! It's a boy!" a nurse announced.
George Cooper Jr., former hedge fund manager and investment prodigy, had just been born again—this time in 1992, in a modest hospital in Galveston, Texas.
The man staring down at him with pride was George Cooper Sr., a football coach. The woman crying with joy was Mary Cooper. He recognized the names instantly.
"My… parents?" he thought. "What the hell?"
Then came the kicker—two small, wriggling twins placed next to him. One had a distant, calculating gaze. The other wailed like she was ready to command an army.
Sheldon and Missy.
George nearly passed out from shock—if newborns could pass out from shock.
"I've been reborn," he realized. "Into The Big Bang Theory. What in the absolute—?"
